1. Is the show still going on, or did that Fast Forward crap get it cancelled?

2. If it is still going on, is it still the Fast Forward crap? Last I saw, Fast Forward was already going alot longer than they promised.

3. If it's still going, what season are we at? Whats going on, and are new episodes still airing at the moment, or did we pass the season final recently?

1. It's got another season coming up and all it would take for you to see that is read the titles of threads or the forums like everyone else.
Fast Forward had the best ratings of the series since the series first started so it would hardly get it cancled ;)

2. The last time you saw the season was split into 2 parts and spread out so they could have something to show until new thing where made.
The next season of the show is going back to modern day with bits and characters from Fast Forward involved.

3.The new season starts in the fall and it will be season 7, we also just got done with them showing the ninja tribunal lost season episodes.
When next season starts they will be coming home from the future, but with problems of course gotta love that turtle luck!

FF was going to be a new status quoe for the series for at least two seasons, one long, and another slightly shorter, but fan criticism brought it to a premature close. The series could very well have been cancelled due to this because 4Kids, MIRAGE, and Playmates argued over several concepts to replace the aborted season

Regadless of fan criticism, FF drew huge ratings for the franchise.

It really does suck because we had been shown story boards from an episide with what looked like a triceraton shredder going after baxter who had been given a new body by bishop.
It looked like the series was going in a really good direction and now it's gone, oh well.
All you can do is move on and hope back to the sewer is good, but I'm pretty sure it will be as it's going to have all new tales.

FAST FORWARD pulled in huge ratings because most of the 4Kids audience are children that do not appreciate good artwork nor storytelling. The original 2k3 series was too dark and complex for them to understand. Look at the rest of the garbage on 4Kids right now (or any cartoon station....that's right, I am looking directly at you Cartoon Network!). TMNT was the only even decent cartoon airing, but kids have been so mindwarped by today's cartoons which are all drawn distorted and ugly, with sad attempts at 'humor' and horrible attention to detail (except for maybe Spongebob Squarepants which actually attempts to keep some of the classic and cute looking characters in the vein of Looney Toons). TMNT stood alone on the Fox Saturday morning line-up due to it's rather good artwork and serious plotlines which actually required some thinking to take place, (something most of the general kiddie audience could not absorb). However once they dumbed it down to the modern day child's cartoon appreciation level of crappier/uglier/distorted artwork, the kiddies could eat it up much easier as it blended much better with the rest of their brain warping animated shows. :roll:

Having said that, I actually did break down and bought both FAST FORWARD dvds from Walmart.com (since they are only like $7 each) and I wanted to catch up to prepare myself for BTTS so I wouldnt be lost. Is it quite as bad as I originally believed it was? No it actually isn't. There are still a few fights that are somewhat interesting (instead of them just throwing pizzas at villians like they did in the 80's and calling that a fight). FAST FORWARD is not even close to being as interesting to the first 5 seasons (granted though I am only 6 episodes in). FAST FORWARD is to TMNT what X-MEN EVOLUTION was to the original 90's X-MEN cartoon. Nonetheless I do not really regret picking them up. They appear good enough for at least a viewing or two.

Yes kids hate good artwork and storytelling. That's why the Batman animated series and just about every DC and Marvel show does so bad they cancel it quickly.

2K3 was far from complex. Every plot twist was easy to see and as far as being "dark" goes there's only so far you can go with that before you just sound like an idiot. Your watching a cartoon trying to justify it by saying it's dark is pretty low. You want a dark cartoon with advanced adult storytelling watch Spawn or The Maxx, it's made for adults.

Do you blame them? This generation has had more problems with violence in young kids then any other and it stems from early childhood. They already have video game backlash to combat the animation studios don't need parents on their ass too.

Either you never read any of the comics or turtles was the only other cartoon you've seen besides Scooby-doo. There are plenty of shows with great artwork and advanced storytelling. Most shows have a great way of hiding their adult themes, something turtles needed to work on in order to be successful among both kids and adults. 2K3 was to adult heavy, FF to kid heavy. The storytelling however did not change a bit. Dialog choice maybe but anyone who dissect the story can see it's just as "dark" as any 2K3 storyline.
Examples:
Darius trying to murder his own nephew Cody to take over the company so he can use it to make weapons. Cody is like what 12? That's pretty morbid.
Shokonabo wants to block out the worlds sun and turn the entire planet into slaves of his so he can rape Earth for its resources.
Baxter comes back to murder Bishop for supposedly leaving him behind years ago.
Dark Leo infiltrates the turtles place and turns on their alarm systems in an attempt to kill them in their sleep.
Shokonabo is killed with a grenade to the face! He swallows a grenade and explodes. That's pretty rad.

Well I'd hate to burst your bubble but FF was going to happen no matter what. It was set to take place after season 5, the Ninja Tribunal season, anyways. Your blaming 4Kids for basically airing what they were going to do anyways earlier. If I were you I'd be blaming them for making it so unwatchable for their younger audiences they had to tone it down twice as much as they normally would have. Baxter's finger rotting off, monsters getting sawed in half with a chain gun, use your brain dude it was bound to happen eventually with how violent the series was getting.

And Turtles was not the only edgy show on TV again watch any DC series. Also this new X-men series looks to be rather mature. I've also heard good things about Spider-man and the animation in that looks great.

That comment right there shows me your not very old. If you judge a story based on fight sequences then your not very mentally advanced. You want a bunch of fight sequences with no thought put behind them go watch 300. Movies like that are made for people like you.

What do you think the chances are of characters from FF showing up. Like comeing back in time. The evil turtles and Genjin are what I'd like to see some more of.

Ok Spitfire, this is for you since I don't feel like quoting every individual section.

First off you are twisting some of my words. You telling me that I haven't seen any other good drawn cartoons is not what I said. I said "cute looking" and I was only referring to what currently airs on Fox Saturday mornings only. Now, if you can point out another cartoon that airs Saturday mornings on Fox, then I will take back my statement.

Secondly, I know what 'dark cartoons' are. I am fully aware that by most standards, TMNT was not that 'dark'. However compared to what is currently airing on Fox Saturday mornings, it is the darkest. Perhaps they have resurrections on Yu-Gi-Oh or whatever, I honestly do not know? From what I have seen though, TMNT had the most serious toned atmosphere.

Animators, musicians, entertainers, etc. have a duty to produce projects which set good examples for the young minds that it is being broadcast to. Do you think anything will get better as long as they keep encouraging an ugly distorted world in their cartoons? This isn't the 1950's anymore. Parents are too busy working jobs to pay the bills and are no longer able to fully watch their children and make sure that they are not exposed to anything too violent.

Also, have you ever seen a Looney Tunes cartoon before? Are you aware that grenades, guns and explosives have been blown up in characters faces more times than can probably be counted? So do not say that Shokonabo's fate is that much worse than what has been going on for years. Although I cannot recall any 'kiddie' toons where someone's fingers were rotting off and their entire body was decaying right on screen. That seems a little more dark than anything in FF, wouldn't you say?

Finally, I am not young. In fact, I am 26. I judge an action cartoon by the action and choreographed fights. Do you watch action movies for just the love scenes?
