Don, April and Casey

I know some people think that Don and April have more in common and are more equal to each other than Casey and April are and that as a couple Casey and April are kind of weak. And that there is a slight love triangle going on between April, Don, and Casey and the only real reason April goes for Casey is because he's human. But does any one think that if Don where human instead of a turtle that April would go for Don over Casey?

Do you think Don would be real competion to Casey for April if he wheren't a turtle and human instead? Since Don and April have alot in common do you do you think Don would try to go gor April? Or do you think human or not she would still just be friends with Don and go with Casey?

Hmm actually... the fact that Don is a 5 or so foot tall mutant turtle might be what never lets April see him (or the others for that matter) as more than just good friends and/or family.

Having much more in common, perhaps April and Human-Don would have had a better loving relationship. They'd sure argue alot less than casey, and it makes more sense that as lovers, Don and April founded O'Neil Tech... rather than Don and April founding it and Casey just kinda being there for photos or taking the credit or whatever.

I think what makes the April and Don friendship work so well together is that they have so much in common and they both seem to really like each other. Not just in sharing common interests but in having similar temperments and and charisma and working well in battle. On April's end it seems that she likes and respects Don alot but in a really platonic way but there is more than just simple friendship between them there is affection there too. On Don's end he definately drawn to her and likes her alot, she is probably the first person who he can relate too on his own intellectual level and she is sweet to him as well and he seems more than a little platonically interested in her. If he where I don't think he would just let April be with pretty boy Casey. I think he would pursue her.

I actually like Don and April better. They strike me as the typical sweet guy the girl is friends with but is with the cute bad boy because he's hot. If Don was human it would be no diffrent because girls are shallow that way.

I guess the "crush" Don had on April was noticable enough that the nick series is going to Capitalize on it and make it a defining feature for Don. What do you think the series is going to take from the 2k3 series for this?

I don't think Don and April would work even if Don was human. I mean they have a lot in common and are close to each other in temperament but that isn't always a good thing. In order to have a a healthy relationship that lasts there has to be some difference and enough not in common so that all the skills they will need to survive are there.

If a couple is built on one skill set then there are things that they will have a harder time doing. I think that's what makes Casey and April such a great couple. Each brings a unique set of skills and perspective to the table while at the same time having enough in common to be drawn to each other.

I think the reason is that Donatello fan-girls finally worked their way up the corporate ladder at Nickelodeon studios!
