I know all three of these TPB are sold out on the official website, but I was wondering if someone could tell me what was too much to pay for one.

Those Tales trades seem to sell out quickly too. I guess they only really print enough for the hardcore TMNT fans who they know will buy them.

I got my copy of Shell Shock off eBay for about $30 bucks. It was a little worn but still in good condition.

I was fortunate enough to get two copies -- one from back in the day (bought it at a comic shop) which is in absolutely rancid condition, and another from eBay about four years ago. I think I paid about $30 USD all up then, and it's in perfect nick.

I wish I was interested in these books back when there was more of a supply. The black and white book for issues 1-11 seems to be impossible to find. I ended up going with the color trades. They are a bit beat up but considering how old they are I guess they are in fine shape.

So your saying 30 for shell shock? What about the others?

Just spare yourself the headache and buy the individual issues on eBay. Probably will cost less, and you'll have legitimate copies of the issues.

Soul's Winter you should still be able to get, seeing as it was republished by Mirage recently.

Book 7 though... that's a tough one. I don't see it come up on ebay much, and I'm pretty sure the individual issues would be easier and potentially cheaper to get.

Soul's winter features a short story normally only found in shellshocked, and another from plastron cafe.

Besides that, I LIKE the idea of having all Zulli's turtles work together.

And I really don't care too much more for original issues than for TPB's.

Soul's winter was reprinted in early 2007 as a TPB. If they republished it since, I sure haven't heard about it, and they don't have it on the website.

As to finding it, it is sold out everywhere I look, and only comes up on ebay about once a quarter I've checked every online shop and nearby store. The online shops that say they have it don't (tried ordering it got told they were out at a dozen places)

Problem is, Zulli is a VERY popular artists in indy/artsy circles, so alot of the copies are in the hands of sandman fans and such. (so I'm 0 for 2 reasons to have it.)

Book seven I'm beginning to agree with you on though. Yea, I'm already looking for the issues. The TPB would just be a nice bonus.

Dunno if they ship to your location, but you can find TPB 7 here (http://www.milehighcomics.com/cgi-bin/backissue.cgi?action=list&title=86483820218&snumber=1). Whether or not you want to pay their prices for it is up to you.

I got my copy of Shell Shock last year on ebay for $30...would have had it at $19 but someone sniped my bid up to thirty in the last minute.

It was well worth the price though, 200-some odd pages of different Turtle stories! Plus the thing is in mint condition, only flaw is the edge of the pages have yellowed a little from age. Oh yeah, if you do read the stories, be careful not to fully open the covers as they are thick and would ruin your spine with that crease effect.

Great book, love it...As for Zulli's works, if your manage to find SS and get the three ish trilogy from Mirage, you'll have all but two of his stories. There is one in an issue of Turtle Soup where Mikey has a nightmare.

My advice, be persistent and scout out ebay quite frequently and you'll find what you want at a price you can afford. Took me three SS's in so-so condition with astronomical prices to actually sell before I lucked up on mine.

Oh yeah, it pays to check out the ads with only a camera icon indicated. Not many people had seen my book's ad because there was not a pic posted in the gallery (you had to click to see it in the ad). The pics posted were very large and clear so I new I had a winner if I won it! And I did! :D

Thanks for the tips. Right now I'm doing daily ebay searches for it.

Hehehe. My copy of shell shock just arrived. Near-mint condition (1 minor nonvisible wrinkle in the cover)

Got it for less than 25 dollars!

I've got collected books I, III & V. Picked them up for a song and a dance along with all those printer's proofs I scored last year. I'm not too worried about completing them since I've read it all anyway.

Soul's Winter I bought right when it came out for SRP.

Shell Shock I'm still pining for. :x Wasn't it Michael Dooney's copy on Ebay a while ago? It went for I think like $75. I dropped a bid but it got too rich for my blood. I'll be sad about that for the rest of my life.
