View Full Version : How did you find The Technodrome?

I thought this was a rather interesting question....I'm not sure if it's ever been done before......I'll go first........

I was stayin up in Cali with my aunt for the summer, and on days that we didn't go sight-seeing I was on the net for about seven hours....well I got to thinking.....Wonder what ever happened to the turtles? So I began my search from the movies to show to everything I could get my paws on! Then I came across this site....It seemed friendly and I lurked for about three or four days checking it out....saw that there were RPG's here as well, and I was hooked...........So here I am today :D :D

I was just surfing around one day, and I found this site, called thetechnodrome.com. I actually heard about the site a year or two ago. I never visited it until early last week. I even visited the board a few days before registering. It's been about two days since I've joined the board, and I really enjoy it here. 8) It's great to be a Turtle fan again.

I think I was trying to find some TMNT sound clips one day. While I didn't pay attention to the site name at the time, I did happen to come across the sound clips page (which at the time I had no idea that I'd be adding to it some day :D ). Pages for the Technodrome kept coming up on Google, so I decided to bookmark the site for future visits.

A few days later I saw the link to the forums, and the rest, as they say, is history ;)

When I was banned from another forum (not relating to TMNT), I got pissed and sought after an interest. So I went to google to join a new forum by typing in tmnt forums or somehting like that and this came up.

I used to visit the forums at undermanhattan.com until it kind of died. I think I remember someone (I'm sure it was either Azure or Krang) mentioning the forums here. So... that's it. Fun. huh?

I hadn't seen TMNT for many years and thought it would be cool to see it again. I had an MP3 of the theme but I wanted the video of it. I searched endlessly finally finding this awesome site with all it's great content.

Yeah, I remember Tekcop starting out over at the UM forums. :)

I found the Technodrome while browsing the internet for TMNT websites. I lurked on the forums for a couple of weeks before finally signing up. Been here ever since. :goofygri:

Heh, I was surfing TMNT sites as well. Man, I came across this place way back when they still had that other board. I visited the site frequently, and checked out the forums sometimes, but was content with lurking.

Until... these two guys by the user names Michaelangelo and chrome_dome started posting like mad. It was so funny, I had to join. I think my first post was actually about underwear. o.O

I think I talked to him sometime last year, but it was early last year. Like January. Haven't talked to him for a loooooooooooong time though. Probably nearly as long as you haven't.

i found this site whil I was thinking of making a site, and decided to see as many fan sites as I could. When I came here I just thought it was really cool, probaly the coolest one I saw. (Well, it definatly was the best) I added it to my favorites and didnt register til like a week later.

I found it by accident, I came in to check out the Video clips and the sounds, then saw the forum... and You haven't been able to get rid of me scince ^^

Even after we moved to a phpBB in July of 2001, there were still people who stayed there and refused to use the new forums for a while. :lol: I wonder if anyone has been visiting this site long enough to remember it before it was renamed to The Technodrome...

Hrmm.. yeah, I heard of this board in it's early days. It was one of those running post-it type things. Kind of a bother to follow.

But then the december of 2001 Kali was talking about this one RPG on here, in a Yahoo RPG club we were in. I got curious and checked this place out again. Been here ever since (even though I'm afriad of those RP's now)! :P

I've been banned from forums too, but only because they were run by some overly-bigoted computer geeks that considered you stricken with Down's Syndrome if you didn't know a computer language, and I didn't at the time (I do now :roll: )

I'm slowly getting there. I'm well enough to get on the computer and check my mail and forums and stuff. Which is a far cry from this morning when I couldn't even move. Couldn't even open my eyes it hurt so much. Nearly fell several times trying to get a drink of water, so I decided it would be better to stay in bed until four in the afternoon. The flu sucks...

Yea, I had it last weekend, not fun at all. I suggest you not go on the computer as much though, not really healthy. Just keep taking your medicine and maintain your energy and stay in bed....
When I had it, I made the mistake of getting out of bed to shave, I was almost done and I started going dizzy, almost cut myself with the shaver, so I just put it down, I was feeling like I'd go unconcious at any moment which was bound to happen had my mom not given me a quick glass of orange juice...so yea, I'd still eat and drink if I were you too...lol

And that was today's health lesson! :lol: :sleep: :sleep:

I first heard about the TMNT return in GamePro Mag. It said something about Konami making the new TMNT for the new series. So I got on the internet and searched for TMNT. I found some sites that talked about it but didnt give much info. So I searched for a mesage board. I found MikeysTMNT and was there for a while. BUt then saw a link to here on the site.

Good old net surfing. I was amazed that when I searched for TMNT, the search engine actually brought up TMNT related sites. The Technodrome among these, unsurprisingly.

I'm just curious to see if anyone remembers the site's name, URL, or design from before that.

The page was located at http://krangandshredder.4mg.com (which actually still works but redirects to The Technodrome). Hopefully you don't remember the first design, since it was pretty bad... :dead: (the second one wasn't that bad, though).
