Just looking over Playmates Toys newly updated site and I came across a small Synopsis of the series with an animated image of the 4 TMNT.
I think It looks very cool, and you can commence complaints in 4...3...2..1..

Oh you sly dog you. That was the other thing you showed me. Pure awesomeness incarnate. It's the best mix ever. Take a little of everything turtles to come out in the past 5 years and here's what you get. I love their weapons and suits.

Sounds awesome. But will this be the plot for the whole season? Or just for the first 3 episodes or so?

It does seem like all the other news we've been getting for a while, but it's great to see Playmate's aknowledge it on its site. Too bad they can't get the figures into production faster.

Sounds awesome. But will this be the plot for the whole season? Or just for the first 3 episodes or so?

As I've said in another thread, having it be the plot for the whole season doesn't necissarilly mean that every episode will focus on it. FF's (and we're speaking non-partially about this) focus was the turtles being stuck in the future, and having to go home. While some episodes focused on it, and it was a recurring theme, not all the plots were about them trying to get home.

So, what I can see myself is it being a recurring concern while they still battle what's left of the Foot, and whatever Hun's Purple Dragons are cooking up.

They said nothing about the turtles facing Karai and Bishop which makes me believe they will play a small role this season or they are slowly becoming "good guys". Someone mentioned Karai no longer wears the foot symbol so the latter might be the case.

Anyone find it ironic how Playmates has footage of The Lost Episodes on their site... despite never making any merchandise based on that season?

I'm kinda meh on the idea of "Cyber Shredder" unless they do it really well.

I'm sure that the second pic of the turtles is what they'll look like in Cyber Space. I kinda like that look, especially Leo.

So master Splinter's data is scattered huh? What will Master Splinter data look like I wonder and how do they gather it? Don is going to be the star of this season for sure, in "techno geek heaven" as it were.

Yes I was also wondering why they didn't give a mention of Bishop or Karai?
I could see Karai being less of a bad guy but maybe not Bishop yet

I think Bishop should be explored more. He's an interesting character because no matter what he does the turtles can't "stop" him for good. If they do they could alter the entire future.

I couldn't agree more. There is no pleasing most people on any forums. Oh well. I think a lot of people forget what its like to be a kid.

This all sounds great to me and I can't wait!!!

Sounds decent enough. I'm going to give it time to play stories out and make a decision on it

Consider they were partially behind the Lost episodes being lost. I prefer to think of them as the Kidnapped for extortion episodes.

My initial thought on this is that every "data byte" of Splinter's will be a part of his personality instead of say body parts. Maybe each personality needing to be downloaded into some machine Don and Leatherhead create (gosh I hope LH is back), where when all parts are downloaded into it, Splinter will re-corporealize.

I think that can bring in good comedy and drama for the series. With the turtles learning more about their father, the good and the possibly bad (which all teens do when growing up), I think it has a lot of potential.

As for the compaints, I honestly can't think of any but maybe the Tron Turtle look. But even then after everyone, including me, thinking FF was going to be trash I still enjoyed it in the long run. Enough to even pop the DVD in occasionally. This will at least bring back what we wanted to begin with, the turtles back in our time and with the allies and villians we already know.

I see now an added gimmick is needed to keep them on TV, and I am grateful we got almost 5 seasons without one. But if you take a look around at all the other shows on Saturday mornings, most of them are just a gimmick and nothing else. At least with Turtles we do get good stories too.

Meh, it doesn't sound that interesting to me to be honest. I'm only checking out the new season because I want to see what they do with Karai and Bishop (my two favorite characters aside from the turtles themselves).

I could see Karai being a "good guy" again (since she only became an enemy because she felt wronged by them and wanted vengence), especially if she regains some of her honorable views and remembers that the TMNT are good guys and saved her life. She owes it to them to drop her vendetta, even if she's still sore about her father.

Bishop, well he just rocks. I need to see more eps with him, cause they always kick butt!

I didn't see your response before but yes it could be great opportunity to explore memories especially if the data were pieces of Splinters mental being and personality. It could open up some more "younger" turtle stories

The only other way it could be handle in my mind is that maybe he would be broken up into pieces like code or data and just scattered everywhere. That doesn't sound quite as exciting though

Looked over the site . . . and the only thing that caught my eye were the suits the turtles have on in that little animated gif off to the side. I'm more interested in seeing the designs of those up close.

Everything else sounds . . . ok. I am cautiously optimistic.

It's Morphin' Time!

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. Whatever happened to that pitch that involved mish-mashing various TMNT universes? "Ultimate TMNT" or whatever it was called...?

In al reality, it'll probably be pretty nice and plenty of kids (big and small) will like it. However, I'll probably not be following it too closely. I do think, however, that Michelangelo will be psyched that they get to transform into cyber superheroes or whatever.

I guess you're forgetting the Mystic Turtles...?

Anyway, it sounds... promising... at least they're not forgetting about Hun, Baxter and the Foot.

Yeah, this is the "commercilist" portion of the show's history now (similar fate to the original, thought it was always one, it was'nt immediatly apparent), you either get used to it or you linger in and out like you're going to.

Ultimate TMNT sounds more like a series relaunch after the show's been gone for years on end, than a new season. After all, we had to retell the origen yet again, with complete changes (Splinter was Hamato in that version).

Yeah. I get'cha. I'm not too worried about it. I'm keeping up on the new info for the moment, though. Things may end up being executed in such a way that either I'll think its the most awesome thing to hit TV in 21 years or I'll think that its so funny and absurd that it'll be like when I get bored and look up Zyuranger or Magiranger on YouTube.

True, but I'm sure they could connect it to the current series somehow:

Don - In trying to send ourselves back to our time, a problem with the timeline was created and now several universes are becoming one singular ultimate universe!

Mike - This is just like that crisis that happened in my Justice Force comics! Wait. My comics! I can't find them in this universe! Noooo!!!

Leo - Mike, this is no time to fool around. This isn't a comic book! Something's seriously wrong!

Raph - Grrrr! My character development went backwards! Stupid whackbag, I'm angry and stuff! I'm outta here for no reason!

Okay, so I carried that on for too long, but you get the idea. Crisis on Infinite Turtle Earths. A relaunch that really isn't a total relaunch. Pick and choose which parts of the continuity to drop or keep (like Vol. 3 or Venus De Milo).
