Wow. I totally missed that Ralph typo. I thought the OP was referring to the "teh" in the description of the DVD.

yeah i noticed another mistake on their website. if you go to the toys page and click on the new mutation changing mikey into a turtles figure (ha ha ha) it says mutation raphael and if you click on the new mutation changing raphael (i just had to do that again ha ha ha) it says muation mikey. playmates really needs to learn their top selling action figure names.

That really peves me when fans say ralph... but the action figure distributor. hehe

Amazon.com often sells Ralphael toys and memorabilia. *sighs* It's my MAJOR pet peeve. People often in chat rooms that don't know me ask who Ralph is or assume Im a Ralph Wiggum fan. I just simply yell at em and explain their mistake. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y72/Dierna/smileys/blink.gif

I'm pretty sure I've realized why this happens, I'm pretty sure the person used spell check because when you type in Raph it wants to change it to Ralph.
Case Closed.

That my friend is something that happens some times it's a simple packaging mistake and Playmates has been doing it since the start of the line.

The creator of Shoate or Chote Michael Dooney designed that new Dragon Mutant as well so that very well could be the reason behind them looking alike.

Yeah its just the only one I have ever gotten. I think the funniest part maybe that I didn't look at it closely or notice the mistake till I got home

Hopefully those are just lame protoype names and when the figures are actually out, he'll be officially named Shoate. :)

BTW what's with the weird mutants?

I'd guess Peter has finally let up a bit on his no Mutant rule heh, and that makes me very happy.
It's something I felt was really missing from this toy line.

If I understand Peter correctly...his Mutant rule either means...

1. Mutants are fine as long as they're animal-mutants. The TMNT, Splinter and Leatherhead are all animal-mutants. But humans-turned-animals, still using the slang and clothes and whatever of when they were still human are a big no-no. That leaves out sk8erboi geckos, zan-master rats and street thug rhinos and warthogs.

or

2. Mutants are fine, just not anyone from the old show. They're over and done with, deal with it. Or they don't have the rights to use them or whatever.

Hey, wasn't that some rediculous April Fools day gag on this forum? You'd type Raph and it came out Ralph? That was funny for about 2 seconds.

It's a joke to some. Heck in Tales of Raphael when Raph barfed it came out as "Ralph!!" and Shadow joked "Ralph? I thought your name was Raph!" :P

It was just a harmless joke that lasted less than 24 hours. Did it really bother you so much that you still remember it and complain about it over 3 months later? Now that's ridiculous...

You spend your time looking for spelling mistakes on toy sites? You have way too much time on your hands.

So a supposed 12 year old goes online to browse the playmates toys website and you think he has too much time on his hands? What exactly did you do when you were 12 that makes you so special. I know when I was that young I was interested in action figures too. It's nothing to be ashamed of.
And Playmates doesn't deserve any slack anyhow.
