So.
Now that http://www.ninjaturtles.com has mentioned some kind of "Galabunga" event in NYC next May celebrating the Turtles, anyone here interested in making it a Drome gathering too?
It's the closest thing to a "turtle-con" that we'll probably get!

If Galabunga says it all, why are you asking what it means? :D

Touche...
Perhaps it really means an exclusive gathering of all female TMNT fans? "Gal-a-bunga."

We could have our own section in in the convention, we could all go with the site's t-shirts, so they know who we are;)

I guess we'll have to see what exactly it is they have planned. I wonder where they'll be having it. Any guesses?

Why are we assuming these things are full-blown conventions?

The only confirmed locations are NYC & LA - It sounds like there will be others, too. :)

I dunno what to expect honestly I am just excited by the aspect of a TMNT "event" All we can do is imagine until we hear something official. Plus I think so many people are just hoping for a TMNT con

I remember a couple years back, a Lot of folks on here talked about a Drome convention, but it didn't get off the ground due to time and funds..
AS for locations, I would be SO happy if they had a gala in Boston...

Really, we don't need a convention so much as a simple gathering. If everyone tried their darndest to go to Comic-Con next year in San Diego, that'd be pretty awesome.

I guess I could. I've always wanted to go to NYC, but the problem is being able to afford it.

I'd wait to see what it actually is before deciding to go to New York for it.
I think Comic-Con is going to be the real place to be next year.

Any sort of long-distance travel is going to be Really tough in the next year or two (or three..?). I know that at my last job, they had passport locations spread out at a certain distance so that SOMEthing was within driving distance. If they could have the shellebrations spread out in places like
Boston
NYC
DC
Miami
Chicago
New Orleans
Houston
Colorado
LA
Seattle
... I think people would have a better time being able to reach one of THESE locations. Hopefully it's not all exclusively East/West coastal areas. We got Lots of folks in-between that deserve some lovin' too..!

I don't think it will be, but I think the "bigger" ones will be the two they mentioned, or so they word it.

I hope they can bring one to Florida or a nearby state. It would rock to attend a TMNT convention to say the least. Nice change from the usual anime cons I attend.

NYC won't be a problem but I'm hoping I get the chance to go to LA a second time, Cali sure is a cool place to be.

I just hope having to pay for community college doesn't prevent from doing that, especially cuz I see SDCC as a graduation trip of some sort.
