I saw it twice while watching Yu-Gi-Oh GX this morning. Not very long, so I really couldn't get a feel for the look, other than "fine". It featured the turtles fighting April's landlord, and a couple of shots of Cyber-Shredder.
For those who missed it, I'll imagine it'd be somewhere in the 4Kids site.

I saw a preview too. It had a clip of that other bad guy with the pony tail who popped up very early in the BTTS discussions but I don't think we have heard to much more on him. Of course now I cant find the pics of the guy either
I did see enormous Mikey eyes pop into the screen during one of the commercials so I am thinking the exaggerated expressions are sticking.
I wonder if I saw a different clip though cause I didn't catch Serling?

Already been said, but the style is going to take some getting used to. The animation how ever seems to be very fluid, so I can stop worrying about that.

No. The main pages video player (on the right) cycles through various shows, eventually TMNT comes up -- was like the 4th or 5th video when I watched.

Went and checked again, and it does seem to have different cyclings. But still got TMNT on the first run (after ones for Chaotic and Viva Pinata).

Yeah. It's still mostly the same as the first time I checked 4Kids site, though there is one little change. The first time's run through had a Kirby promo, which isn't among the group now.

wow, they don't look as bad animated as I thought they would. I agree the animation it self is pretty fluid, and I think that cyber Shredder looks really badass. Casey looks just fine and even the turtle look pretty good. Although I'm a little scared about the facial expressions, Mikey's bug eyed, constipated look was very...extreme. :|
Did anyone else notice that you can see the turtles kicking the old silver Shredder just before the new character is shown?

Yeah pretty much dead give away the logo on the chest even reminds me of her head, but in the clip they do show a normal shredder outfit that we've seen from the past, perhaps karai?
I would agree, but the voice makes me think otherwise.
Karai was able to do the voice with the help of a chip so I'd think a living computer virus could change voices as well.

I've got the same problem dude. Anyway thanks for uploading the video S (even though it was soundless) The animation looks really great though and the emotions could be a lot more over the top then they are. Too back it's going to air on the 4!KidsCW cause I don't have that channel. :cry: Oh well.

You don't have CW4Kids? As that's just the name of the block, it airs on the same station Kids WB was on.
Edit: "D'oh", never mind. Just saw where you're from. But maybe it will air on another station for you.

Sorry about this small rant, but seeing as how Chaotic got this super boost in animation quality, plus it looked downright serious, I see that when they are falling back through time, Mikey has a look straight out of Looney Toons.
Who is at fault for this? 4kids? Mirage?

Please tell me why this show is getting that kind of treatment, whereas Chaotic looks to be taking a nice serious tone.
Again, my beef is with that one scene, which doesn't give me much hope, the other scenes looked pretty good. Can that please be the only time we see a goggle eyed Turtle during the season?

actually he did, in the episode where Raph goes to the wrestling match, he gets star struck swirly eyes that come out of his head when Cody mentions a video game. As for the tone for BTTS I don't think we are going to get anything tone wise that is much diffrent from FF so it's better not to think that it going to be so you won't be disapointed if you didn't like FF.
Just be opened minded and try not to have any high standards in your head when you watch it because you'll be setting your self up for disapointment. :)

I do like FF, but I just couldn't help thinking of Looney Toons when I saw Mikey with that expression.
I still, for the life of me, don't understand why in the world the animation style was changed so drastically.
I see this Chaotic nonsense, and think, "hey that is some nice animation." Then I look at FF and BTTS and think, why are they getting the shaft?
I was watching my seasons 1-6 yesterday, and I noticed a couple of things between seasons 1-5 and season 6.
Seasons 1-5 featured really nice animation, and stories that didn't feel rushed, and had some depth to the characters. It felt like a TV show that adults would watch, that appealed to kids.
Season 6 featured episodes that felt faster in pace, and I can never feel that sense of depth like the episodes from seasons 1-5.
Take for example, "still nobody." Watching that episode it doesn't even start with the Turtles. It starts with the prolouge, and then focuses on the witness, Jenco, and that facet of the story, before even getting to the Turtles. In FF it feels like all Turtles, all the time, and anything to do with the atagonist feels like your normal good vs bad guys in old 80's cartoons.
I would mainly like to see some of that depth back in this season. Goggle eye any Turtle for all I care, just put that depth back from seasons 1-5, where the episodes felt longer and the characters felt more lifelike.

To touch up on my last post, I have a pretty good example.
I was watching the episode Touch and Go last night.
In this episode, you can see the depth seasons 1-5 had. Raphael spent most of the episode in the house of Mrs. M, where he sipped tea (or whatever they were drinking,) and helped her pack her stuff away.
Seasons 1-5 wasn't afraid to show the human aspect of the world they inhabitted, and I miss that. It gave the show a lot of depth, whereas season 6 (I do like FF don't get me wrong,) felt like the episodes were strictly devoted to good fighting evil.
Here are some other examples.
The Turtles carving pumpkins in All Hallows Eve, they didn't just jump into action.
The Turtles haning out and chatting it up with the homeless professor in Garbageman.
This is just some of the depth I missed in season 6. FF to me felt like the old toon, they never stopped running and gunning until the episode ended, but TMNT seasons 1-5, made me feel like the TMNT appealed to both adults and kids. Heck Raph helping out a person in need could also teach kids some lessons in life, on kindness.
If BTTS has this element returned, I will love this show 100x more then I already do, and it will feel like a return to form.

Well its simple 4Kids really only cares about a series when its cnnected to a card game or has some stupid gimmick. I say its a miracle that they have a new season at all not to mention we got off light with a cyberworld gimmick it could have been worse like that monster battle gimmick or worse then that baby turtles.
I have yet to see the commecial on tv yet so I'm holding out hope it looks better then what I saw in a tiny sqaure on a website. Hopefully the writing is strong enough and doesn't feel as dumbdown as Fast Forward did as long as that happens I'm happy.

I gotta say that it looks better than I was expecting. I really like the pupils too.
After finally getting fed up with seeing previews of Chaotic, Viva Pinata, and Dinosaur King, I went to YouTube and saw the preview without audio.
I'm not optimistic. It's not even the pupil thing entirely. That's probably just from seeing so many seasons with white eyes that it'll take some getting used to the eyeballs. The main gripe is Shredder. What the hell is with the red spikes? He makes OT Shredder look subtle; too much color and that armor is just way out.
However, I'm glad that we'll see Casey again, and that van looks awesome so far. This is just going to take some time.

It's 4kids subtle hint at saying the new Shredder is Viral from Fast Forward.
I just remembered that I 'mock-tivo'ed Fast Forward from the CW. Assuming that's the only commercial of it so far that plays on that channel, I've now seen it... in HD. So, I now understand better why people are questioning if Ch'Rell makes a return, since it's obviously Scottie Ray's voice. But, here's my theory: perhaps Ch'Rell somehow subdued Viral into servitude, much like he did The Shredder's Heralds. It would just figure with his track record of ruthlessness and cunning.

Of course, TMNT is also connected to a toy line, which is a gimmick in and of itself. I don't mind the animation... or the cartoonier expressions on the turtles. And I have to say I've liked everything I've seen so far (though I think April is too small). But it would have been great if the budget allowed for Chaotic's style of animation. But they ARE tryiong to boost the popularity so someone will actually buy those cards. If TMNT was sort of struggling to get a name for itself in the first season or so, we would have seen that sort of animation.

I watched an episode of FF today (I have cable now!) and the BTTS commercial aired during the ending credits. I cannot wait till it begins. I hope I get every Saturday off from now on. Today I watched Step by Step, then went to Body Combat, and then watched FF. What a wonderful day so far!

On another note, though, I FINALLY got to see it on TV during one of the Chaotic epsisodes, though I had to wait for it to run again to hear ALL the dialogue (and stuff) on it because CW once again went SILENT for a second or two during the FIRST one that I saw!
Is it just ME, and OUR TV-service provider, or does CW do that to EVERYONE, REGARDLESS of your provider?! WE have Dish Network; what do some of YOU guys have, and do YOURS do the same thing at times? The sound went out on MY CW4Kids channel (Ch. 17, out of Springfield, MO (local channel)) I don't know HOW many times this morning while I was watching BOTH Chaotic eps, AND today's FF one! Just for a few seconds, but it STILL bits! I just hope it quits this nonsense by September 13th, or I'M gonna be one VERY ticked l'il Mousey!!!:x

Everytime I go to the 4kids site I see the same 3 commercials. Kaotics, Dinosaur King, and Viva Pinata. I thought if I cleared my cache it would change but nope. Then I thought "Hey...maybe only members can see it?"....But alas nope... and I didn't even see it on tv when I tuned into TMNT this morning. Meh I know I'll hear it eventually.
As for the no-sound one...interesting....but as I said I wanna hear the audio so I know what Casey said.

I am just plain joyful that I have found the channel that will air BTTS this fall. And I hope that I can catch all the episodes. Translation- I do not want to work on Saturdays. I like my Body Combat classes too much.

I'm glad I get the CW here, it's one of the few places in Canada that gets the channel it seems. I never got the WB but I did always get UPN, and luckily when they merged the CW ended up on the former UPN channel.
So anyway I saw the commerical and it looks lot like Fast Forward to me. Now to wait until it premieres.

The short answer is the Chaotic property is bringing in a lot more money than TMNT right now. Chaotic is 4Kids' big cash cow at the moment, since it's now the second-highest-selling TCG on the market. Hard to believe, I know, but true, with the way 4Kids keeps crowing about the series in their press releases and then keeps complaining that TMNT has "decreased revenues."
Chaotic is also getting a full 26-episode season while TMNT's getting 13. It does seem kind of unfair but it makes sense.
Yea pretty unfair in my eyes, but I could be acting out of bias.
I hate how people follow trends. You get one great TCG and everyone flocks to it, to try and make money.
I just have this feelings if it wasn't for TMNT on Fox, 4Kids wouldn't have survived on Fox. I have a feeling that TMNT helped them more then it hurt them, but again I could be acting out of bias.
I always promised myself, and those I've met in Hollywood who are interested in my scripts, that I will always try and be a trend breaker. I just cannot be a follower. Sure you have to stay within the genres set in the industry, but who says you cannot break the rules set within them? 8)
If I make an animated show, it will not be another TCG cash cow, when there is so much more potential out there to create something new.
I do find it sad, that this new season of TMNT will only be 13 episodes, seeing as how the typical season of a show goes from September to May/June? If they space out 13 episodes over 8/9 months, then don't expect many new episodes that often. I do miss the 26 episode runs of TMNT, as it allowed for more arcs (which I hope make a comeback as well.)
If all else fails, and TMNT season 7 ends before years end, there's always Transformers Animated season 3 in the spring of 09 to tie me over until a season 8 comes along.

I even watched part of a LIVE-action event (a minor-league baseball game; the Springfield (MO) Cardinals (a minor-league farm-club for the St. Louis Cardinals)), thinking that it WOULDN'T happen during that, and I'll danged if it DIDN'T do it AGAIN! Right in the MIDDLE of on of the announcer's play-by-play, in fact! So I don't know IF it's just my LOCAL CW channel through Dish (the local 4KidsTV/FOX station that the TMNT eps (and all the OTHER shows) have been running did just fine, as do all of my OTHER fave channels), or WHAT the problem is!
Honestly, I'm SRSLY thinking of asking my sister if I can spend one weekend with her and her family (they live just a little way out of West Plains, in the country), just to see if it happens on THEIR satelitte service (THEY have DirectTV, as opposed to Dish, and my sis is ALWAYS asking WHY we don't switch. Sometimes I DO wonder about that........). IF it doesn't, I'm going to TRY to talk the REST of my crew into switching TO DirectTV. Er, ONCE I FINALLY get ALL of mine and my bro Bobby's STUFF recorded off of out Dish DVR, and deleted, that is!) We had DirectTV once before, and I absolutely LOVED it (my MOM didn't, due to crap that happened when we had it years again, in HER name), so I just hope that we can. (Heck, who knows? IF we wind up GETTING to do that, MAYBE we'd wind up getting a DVR with MORE hours on it (we only have like a 100 hours on the one we currently HAVE, and IT'S only a little over 3 HOURS of being TOTALLY filled UP!)! One can hope..............)
Anyway, sorry for the rambling mini-rant. I'm just MORE than a bit aggrevated with OUR local CW channel, that's all.
Maybe the set-up is the problem... as I have Cablevision cableboxes, and the station has seemed to be fine for me.
Though at times do have some minor instances of image trouble, etc. (on various channels) once in a while.

Hmmmm, THAT could be. I hadn't THOUGHT about that. Thankies for bringing that up, Jon.
The only PROBLEM with THAT scenario, though, is that it WAS professionally RE-connected (after we'd moved. I never actually WATCHED our CW channel til TMNT: FF started running on it AFTER we'd moved.), AND NONE of the OTHER channels that I regularly watch even DO that! And I'm talking about my REGULAR local channels (CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, PBS; etc.) that I/we get through Dish, as much as all the OTHER (NON-LOCAL) CHANNELS (A&E, Discovery Channel, CN, CourtTV; etc.). I've seen the TMNT:BTTS commercial last Sunday on CW I didn't have a problem with the sound on my Satilite, which I find strange people are having sound difficultes on CW.
I'll write down, what the promo said I saw last Sunday. I hope this helps who haven't heard the commercial.

TMNT: "Aaaahhh!"(falling out of the portal everyone grunts when they hit the ground)

Finally saw BOTH BTTS ads. I say both cuz there's one that just focuses on Shredder and that's the one that aired over and over again...while the first one only aired after TMNT FF.

True. But I just found out from someone who lurks here, but who ISN'T a member, who lives up NEAR Springfield, MO, in a town called Norwood, e-mailed me and told me that HE has had the SAME recurring problem with the CW channel OUT of Springfiled all the time, and that it's been going on since BEFORE the WB was bought out by CW. He ALSO told me that our local NBC afilliate, KY3, OWNS the local CW affiliate, and that THEY are the ones that SHOULD be taking care of the problem. Unfortunately, they haven't yet. Which is weird, 'cause KY3 reception is ALWAYS perfect (no dropped words, or nothin'!). So I don't know what's going on with them!
Weirdly enough, though, I've never actually WATCHED the CW network BEFORE this, as they don't have anything on that really interests me all that much. And actually, outside most cartoons (TMNT, BMFM, SWAT Kats, and maybe Sonic X and Winx Club every now and then), I don't even really watch the regular network stuff anymore. My tastes THESE days run more toward documentaries, like stuff on Egyptology, history, Animal Planet Animal Cops shows; etc.
Anywho, getting back ON-topic (before Krang or one of the Mods here KILL me!:lol:), I'm NOT all THAT worried about it, as I found out that we can get the Superstation Package (that has KTLA, KWGN; etc.) on it, and once we get it set up, I can get the CW WITHOUT having to worry about dropped dialogue and stuff. So I'm NOT going to worry about it anymore. I got it covered.:twink::twink::twink::twink::twink:

It aired just after YuGiOh GX, during the credits. I just missed it, since I'm not particularly a fan of the show, and it was just on when I was flipping through.

The more I see this...the...more I'm dreading it. After seeing the commercial on Youtube...eh, I don't know any more. The voices are as great as ever, the fights look to be fluid from the small snippet with Leo...but...I don't know. Something just seems a miss. I guess that's just me though. :ohwell:

Yup. CW 4kids. That other network has this one last season until 4Kids and Fox's deal expires. Pretty much why they only have 2 new shows (Biker Mice and Chaotic) and everything else is reruns.
I give them credit. They have to have 2 programming blocks on saturdays. It ain't easy...
Though, personally, I'd like them to rerun Ultimate Muscle or Shaman King or something at some point.

Eh...I'm so mixed with each bit of info we get on this...but honestly, the preview still felt like fast forward to me. Personally, I thought fast forward was OK, but I'm not really interested in seeing more of that tone.
Their lair looks bright as ever, and I remember mentioning that when 4kids first showed us a peek of it. They mentioned something like "wait until you see the night time"..or something like that, while referring to my comment on how bright it all was, but so far even the outside night time bit looks super flashy.

Spider-Man would have to show up in TMNT, I know Wiseman has been doing stuff different from the comics, but I doubt he'd let the TMNT in his show.

Yeesh, you guys need to be more open minded and give it a chance first. I'm not a complete fan of the new style either, but I'm keeping an open mind about it because it really feels like they're trying their hardest to appeal to us all. I'll wait until I've seen a FEW episodes before I make up my mind.

Well the TMNT could have a brief cameo or mention in spider-man.....like Spidey could be fighting a villian in the sewers...like the rat king wannabe, Vermin. And Vermin could like mumble about being attacked on all sides and mention turtles or something. I liked the cameo of the Gargoyles in the first ep of Spectacular Spider-Man even if it was just Spidey running across em in their stone forms.

Back alley dealings with Nickelodeon no doubt. And the Spidey episodes will be reruns of the first season. So no thanks! But I guess by then, we'd have something else in that slot. Hopefully not that Russian crap....
