Who was you're favorite writer for the OT?
David Wise was the main dude, so he had more chances at making good episodes while Michael Reaves got alot less but he almost always delivered.

Marc Handler wrote "The Sword of Yurikawa". He also wrote a lot of Voltron episodes. Hence I voted for "other".

Reaves, I just like him more because he did tons of Batman episodes.

Reaves didn't seem to know that turtles are reptiles...pretty good writer otherwise though.

I'm gonna go with David Wise, since I just rewatched season six and he wrote a whole bunch of those episodes, and the where pretty damn good. :D

Had to look up the episode list on wikipedia to see who wrote what. Seeing that Michael Reaves wrote "The Mean Machines", an episode I can not keep my eyes open during, I voted Wise. That and Wise more or less made the show what it is.

You would seriously vote for a dude who wrote less than 1% of the shows episodes? I didn't even think the one he wrote was very good at all, I guess because I saw you and some others hyping it up before I saw it.

I gotta go with Wise. You cannot deny that the man's got skillz, lol. I just wonder how many gems he wrote that never saw the light of day, as is often the case with long-running cartoon episodes. What I wouldn't give for an unaired TMNT script by him, or ANY writer, for that matter.

David Wise. He always seemed to lend a sort of complexity to his plots that made it engaging. Plus he was one of the few respected continuity by having past events refrenced. That and I think he was one of the "serious" writers of the shows that also respected Michaelangelo. Michael Reeves was awsome but he made Michaelangelo do some "groan out loud" things so he loses points with me.

Read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Teenage_Mutant_Ninja_Turtles_(1987)_episod es to see who wrote the episodes. David Wise is a good writer, but I can't imagine he wrote some very silly episodes like "Mr. Ogg Goes to Town" and "The Ice Creature Cometh".

Ice Creature Cometh rocked! But yeah he did write alot more stinkers than Reaves did, but now I wish I voted for Wise because some people have brought up some great points for him.

you know, I don't even notice who writes the episode. The title is all I look at and thats it! I guess I should vote for the last option on this poll. ;)

you're missing out then. It's easier to pinpoint when you are about to watch a thrilling episode of the turtles with interesting twists and action, or if you are about to watch a cheese fest, by knowing right off the bat who wrote the episode.

I know no one really cares, and this is an oldie... but I was just talking to Wise, and he said that he story-edited almost all of Reaves' episodes, so all his votes are negated :P

David Wise, but many others were good too.

David Wise because he wrote Season one with Patti Howeth. (best season in my opinion, even though it was only 5 eps) Although Michael Reaves did write my favorite ep "April Foolish."

I'd have to say David Wise, mostly because I'm familiar with wrote he wrote and because I pretty much enjoyed every episode he worked on.

David Wise because he wrote Season one with Patti Howeth.
Actually, that's not true. Patti Howeth was a girl he was dating at the time, and for some reason he credited her even though she didn't contribute anything lol
