Alright, I was able to complete my set of Series 1 figures the other day, and I figuered you guys might be interested in reviews of them.
LEONARDO -
Leo was the first figure I got so I do have a bit of attachment to him. I like his two katanas, but I do have a complaint about them. I'm NOT fond of bendy plastic. I know for safety measures they probably decided against the hard plastic, but the bendy plastic just takes a lot of fun out of the figure because the sword gets all wavy and it's just..bleh. But they do fit into Leo's sheathes nice and I'm okay with that. His suction cup accessories actually WORK, those suckers can stick on things like nobody's business. The ninja stars are okay, but nothing to call home about. I love the paint on all these turtle figures by the way, I love the way playmates made them look "sewery". They've got grime on their chest "plates" and whatnot, and it just comes out great with such superior detail.

MICHELANGELO -
Mikey was my second figure and one of my favorite characters. Everything came out as good as Leo's if not better. I haven't really played much with the accessory he came with to tell you much about that, the Nunchucks work great though, they've got enough bend on them to be sheathed on his belt in the back. Love the grin, too.

DONATELLO -
Now this is cool. I'm sorry, but the attachments that can be put on his bo are just a really cool concept and if it gets used in the show, so much the better. Playmates just loaded him with accessories (2 Bos, the attachments, and the stars) and he's just a great figure. I'm usually not too impressed with Don but I really am this time.

RAPHAEL -
Alright, I have a major gripe with this one. They put Raphael's Sai sheathes on his sides. Now this does keep continuity value in place and I appreciate that, but there's a problem. It REALLY restricts his arm movement of you have both Sais sheathed. He looks really weird with them both sheathed and there's just not a whole lot you can do with him when they are, so he gets knocked down a bit for that. I haven't toyed much with his accessory to figure out what's going on with it, either. However I love his face sculpt, it's my favorite out of the turtles. They got his "mad" look just right.

FOOT SOLDIER -
I'm not real impressed with him. Accessories are okay (at least the swords aren't as bendy as Leo's), stance is awkward, not to mention the crossbow doesnt actually fire (the arrow just kind of jerks forward a bit when fired since its ATTACHED to the crossbow)...there's just not a whole lot to say other than he's a staple for Foot armies.

SPLINTER -
Sculpt is good, but one thing bothers me. His cane breaks off into a SWORD? Why on earth didn't he use this against the mousers in the first episode? TCRI mutagen container is cool, nice to see the bow and arrows back (again, bow doesn't actually fire). Love the tail!

SHREDDER -
I love this figure. He just looks so damn foreboding, like "I'm going to jump off this desk and whoop you" or something. He just looks extremely powerful and I love that. His weapons are really cool (the two swords can attach into one, plus the glaive like weapon he posesses looks like it could make turtle soup very fast), the claws on the left hand are nice, and I'm very impressed.

Hope maybe this'll give some insight to those who just want to collect certain figures!
