fourth wall jokes in OT

hi folks i'm turtlefan1 and I decided to introduced myself by starting a thread about my favorite part of the orginal series the times the characters made a fourth wall joke which were always so funny!

here are some of my favorites

Raphael in once upon a time machine: exuse me does that incudle the commerical? (he was the king when it came to those one of the reasons he was the funniest!)

Krang in planet of the turtles: then will go in reruns! i guess (Raph was the four wall breaking king and Krang was the prince)

Leo in the peking episode: and you thought only the other turtles made witty remarks.

Rocksteady in Hokum frist episode: if this episode is filled with nothing but rabbit jokes i'm out of here.

There are many such jokes in the show, but many shows have it.

Another prime example- Back to the Egg: When Raph and Don are going through the trash looking for the uneaten pieces of pizza that contained the retro-age serum, Raph mumbles "If kids think that being a Ninja Turtle is all fun and games, they should watch this episode!"

Take Me to Your Leader: The TMNT says something they have to stop Shredder now or in the next episode.
The Big: Michelangelo say that Bebop and Rocksteady have been looking for Technodrome fuel in every episode.

Just saw Krangenstein lives. Krang was watching TV while Shredder was bitching.

"Silence! I'm watching April O'Neil and we have yet to develop a story plot!"

Ring of Fire when Shredder tells Krang to shut down the electronic map because he know where Portugal is, and Krang tells it's the education of the show.

I also love the one, I'm not sure what episode but Krang is rambling on about what is going to happen in the show and Shredder is like "I already know this why are you telling me?" and Krang says "I wasn't I was telling the audience"

Shredder- I wasn't explaining it to you. I was explaining it to them. *points to the viewers at home*

Personally, I tend to groan or outright ignore these fourth wall "jokes" whenever I watch the OT. Writing them off as non-canon moments is a whole lot less of a headache when it comes to the continuity of the series. :lol:

i liked them. i remember in return of the turtleoid (think thats what it's called) leo says: this tracks down to shredder(?), then raph says: relaz leo, shredder's not even in this episode! that was hilarious. i burst out laughin when he said that.
