i went on a week vacation to california, and walked into this toystore on broadway street (in LA)
while in there i didnt have my mind on anything, was just walking aroudn w/ friends checking things out, and suddenly i ran into the NECA figures....
i knew i could find them again, i knew i could PROBABLy find a better deal than i did, but this was the first time id seen them in person...and i had a pocket full of cash on me
i wound up buying 2 sets of them, all individuals (they had the box set of all 4 as well, but didnt come w/ stands or extra accessories)
im proud to say i have one set open up infront of me, the others will stay packaged forever :)
super happy.
PS: theres something i dont like though, the amount of detail on them is nice, but the quality isnt. paintjob is kinda junk in some areas (red bandana color over the eyes, etc etc) on alot of them that i saw, and after opening them, parts of them (the kneepads especially!) feel VERY unsafe to touch
leo's kneepad actually came off when i opened him up...superglued it back on :)
PPS: Question: Ive seen in alot of pictures you guys have raph holding his sai where the blade is between his fingers, i tried to do that but i found out that raph's 2 gripping hands dont do well for it at all (aka not possible)
-raphs right hand isnt quite posed to hold it, his 2 fingers are a bit close
-raphs right hand (which DOES have space) is made of a different plastic appearently, they do NOT bend.
is this with every raph figure or did i get some kinda defect? (Plastic being heated too hot or something)?
