How would you plan &/or picture TMNT being @ Casey & April's wedding/reception?

Raph would definately be best man while the others are groomsmen (Sorry, Mikey can't be maid of honor-LOL).

As for the reception, band music would be provided by The Josh Salazar Combo, with Josh's friend on bass, Mikey on drums (makes him happy of being part of the wedding) & Josh Salazar on vocals, guitar & vibes. Think Ex-Cel Teen in a tuxedo.

I figure it'll be just a small wedding with family (April's uncle and sister and Casey's mom) and friends (the turtles, Splinter, Angel and her brother, Usagi, Gen, the Justice Force, and any of their other allies). Maybe it'll be on the farm? The main problem is who would be afficiating it. It would have to be somebody who wouldn't freak out over anthro turtles, rats, rabbits, rhinos, ect :lol:

I think the wedding will be put off until Splinter can attend.

I hope to see April and Casey eventually tie the knot. We've seen thier relationship blossom over 5 (soon 6 minus FF) seasons of TMNT during the last 5+ years and an engagement angle is a good move.

I picture the Reception would be like the Christmas gathering during the Christmas Aliens episode only up a notch. Raph would be giving a speech (probably likely to be best man too), Cousin Sid would turn up for free food and booze, Uncle Augie will appear and disapear again and Serling will cry oily tears.

Peter Laird said that the wedding would be at the end of the season and Stan Sakai revealed the images on his forum of Genosuke in a tux as both he and Usagi are going to be in attendance.

I figure Auggie will walk April down the isle with Robyn (who appeared briefly in one ep for no reason) as her maid of honor.

That's just it. April's only relatives (that we know) are her Uncle and sister. I don't believe her sister has met the turtles but Auggie has. Casey's relatives consist of his mom (who's aware of the turtles) and cousin Syd. April's never really mentioned if her parents are alive or not. We know Casey's dad was killed by Hun and have even seen his grave. Possably Casey's aunt and uncle (Syd's parents) would show up. Dunno.

In the comics April's parents died in Vol 1.

Also, what's against the marriage of a man and a woman in a church? If it was, like in so many fanfics, the daughter of Leo and the Shredder marrying Krang's niece, then I'd see the big hubbub, but here I don't see it.

I signed myself up to be 'ordained' although I don't think it will be that simple since a friend of mine is training to be a minister and he's finishing his 5th year of bible college as well as his internship with a church. If being a full blown minister was that easy, Bible colleges would be non-existent.

Funnily enough, Casey Jones' VA Marc Thompson is said to be a Minister (according to Wikipedia). I'd love to know if that is genuine.

Whatever happens for the wedding its still a cartoon and I am sure it will be good. This is one of the best angles to happen in a TMNT toon for a looooong time.

Nah, April sees them running around nekkid all the time, that wouldn't float her boat.

I think Casey's party would involve a stripper-gram that turns out to be a Foot/Purple Dragon sneak attack, or else they all end up at a strip club and (of course) a fight breaks out.

Poor April...her Bachelorette party probably only would consist of Angel, Ananda, Robyn, and Casey's mom....and maybe Chrysalis....Unless Usagi's cat GF comes along....ooh and maybe Renet meeting April for the first time for her (Renet) but the 2nd time for April?

Robyn & Angel would be good for a party. Don't know who Ananda is, and only briefly saw Casey's mom in CaW. Um, I would never invite my mom or my fiancé's mom to a bachelorette party. Unless it was a non-rowdy spa party or something...definitely not if it involves a stripper! Renet's a good idea, though I really only know her via reading synopses of previous issues. I have an ish where she takes April back to see her beginnings (from Vol 4?), and she's all somber there.

The Turtles need to hook up with some chicas so April has some females "in the know" to hang out with. I don't think she'd really be able to integrate outside friends...well, that *could* happen, but may not be a good idea in the short term. Don't want to let just anybody know about the mutants, only people who will make good allies and are able to keep a secret!

Renet said in the ep "Return of Savanti" that she had already met April...but it was April of the future. So this would be a great chance for Renet to meet April for the first time. :D

You do realize that this is the cartoon discussion and not "My little fanfic"-talk? Your character is not part of the TMNT universe nor will he ever be. I could give you a number of reasons why but all in all, it's probably enough that they didn't take up your brilliant idea so far.

Now, as for why this post comes so late, I've tried to shrug it off, but the sheer existence of this thread makes me weep for the state of the Drome. It's okay if someon does his self-inserting in a regular thread in some remote forum like the RPG-section, which isn't really about the TMNT anymore, but this is about the cartoon and what's in the cartoon.

Face it, folks, the Drome is in a sorry state. Absurdity runs rampant everywhere and everyone seems to be totally okay with people just going "Fairina von RavenDoom Midnightshine smiled her warm smile that hit Chester "Chaz" Edwin Eagleheart like a warm shower on a hot sunny day The two looked at each other into their eyes so blue as the deepest and bluest oceans and Fairinia smiled. A smile that tastes like honey on freshly baked bread. Raph was there too."

I think that's sad. I returned to this place to reconnect with old friends, to talk about the Turtles, not about what your silly fancharacters do or don't do.

While I agree that it is silly for people to put their own fan characters into places where they don't belong, I think saying the entire forums are in a "sorry state" because of one single thread is blowing things way out of proportion. Besides this one, how many other threads are there in the TMNT-related sections that are about fan characters? Besides the ones you quoted, how many other fan characters were mentioned in this thread? And for that matter, how many people in this thread played along with the fan characters mentioned as opposed to ignoring them? Consider these questions, and maybe you'll begin to see that while you have a valid concern, you're being way too melodramatic about it.

The off-topic posts have been split to a new thread. Let's please continue discussing this topic as it relates to the cartoon without involving fan characters or debating whether they are good or bad.

As for the wedding, I still wonder what's wrong with a strapless dress. This is not an insult, not a blow against Scandia, not anything, I just can't see it. And being the curious guy I am, I'd like to know.

Also, why can't the two of them marry in a church as it was deemed "Maybe too controversial." I don't get that either. It's not like they're a homosexual couple of anything. Sure, he's got the IQ of a brick and she occasionally turns into demons, but hey, it's all good, no?

Well I know there's rules for some churches. You can't get married in a Catholic church if you're not Catholic (and I guess you can't marry in a synagogue if you aren't Jewish), but I think any other religious building is fair game. Personally, I'd feel it wasn't the most proper setting strictly due to the guest list. Could you imagine how much damage they'd do to the church if a fight were to break out? No, best for them to avoid the headache and choose a more open, neutral place, I think.

She appeared in season 3 in the episode "H.A.T.E". While Don, Mike, and Raph deal with an anti-alien terrorist group with a nuke, Casey, April, Splinter and Leo are at the farm. Casey's mom shows up and meets April for the first time. She gives April a hard time at first but at the end they are friends. As the three walk into the house, Mama Jones states to Casey that she would one day like to here the story behind the giant rat and turtle hiding in the barn. :lol:

I can only imagine the wedding at the farm. The privacy would allow for all the turtles and other non-human guests. Any of April or Casey's relatives that can be trusted with secrets will attend. I see alot of flowers being used in the decorations with April and Casey being wed by either 1) a blind minister, 2)the Damiyo, or 3)Mr. Sun. Leo will be in charge of security, Don will set off fireworks or something, Mike will bake the wedding cake, and Raph is the best man. The maid of honor will be Robyn. Either Splinter or Uncle Auggie will give April away. Alot of tears and cheers.

I honestly can't wait for this wedding!!! I have been waiting for this for a long time!!!

I love this new cartoon I thought fast forward sucked but still watched it anyway so I would not be confused with anything in the new cartoon.

Omg I can't wait to see it. Mikey as maid of Honour??? I think not lol. It will prolly be April's sister.

I am just wondering how they are going to play this out. It's going to be intresting an episode I am going to have to tape!!

You think they would continue on and maybe have Shadow in the future seasons if their is more?

If the cake thing doesn't work, Mike could be the reception DJ. Gasp I just had a chilly thought. What if he decideds to be....A WEDDING SINGER?!

COOL! Mikey would be better than Adam Sandler from that movie.

Mikey would jump on the stage & borrow an electric guitar from the band. He would have the band perform with him playing & singing "We've Only Just Begun". Then he would give the guitar back & get on the drums to do "Celebration" & get to sing & drum, with a super drum solo @ the end. Raph would have a Simon Cowell additude about his performance.

You're shocked that I said Mikey plays guitar. Just because I picture Mikey as a drummer/tympani player, after all, he did play guitar on COOTS.
