Did you create own TMNT comics (before the Internet became what it is today). I used to draw some back in 1992-1993.

Comics? No. I did, however, write my own story on an old typewriter involving the turtles, the frogs, and Casey invading the Technodrome to fight Shredder, Krang, the rock soldiers, and Leatherhead. The only drawing I did were just little pieces of art that got lost over the years (unless my mother's hoarding them for her own memories). The only thing I have left is a drawing of Shredder I did when I was around 10.

Yes, as a kid I used to draw tmnt comics and write stories that had as much toy product placement in them as possible. Hah, I guess it's true, kids love that stuff..I should dig them out from my closet sometime. I remember one comic I drew where Raph, the Space Cadet went into space with Space Usagi. I don't think I ever finished that one!

I could never draw for some reason, so no.

Just now I read one (without words, just pictures) I made in 1993 (inspired by the "Skull and Crossbones" level of Turtles in Time) where the TMNT are walking the streets of New York City in their trenchcoats when a beam hits them (inspired from the one in "Invasion of the Turtle Snathers" that hits Donatello and Rocksteady in front of Bebop and Irma) and the TMNT are teleported to a ship that looks like a pirate ship where they face Foot robots and Stone Warriors (one scene where Michelangelo knocks down a Stone Warrior in the water from the wast down into the water is inspired by a book adaption of "Treasure Island" where Jim Hawkins kills Israel Hands). Later, they face Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady dressed as pirates and carrying swords (Krang uses his robot, but one arm replace by a "classical" pirate iron hook (remember how he in the 1987 cartoon Krang used weapons like that on his robot when fighting). Soon the TMNT knock Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady off the ship and down into the sea water and then the TMNT find a time machine inside the ship (the time machine is inspired by the clock in "Elementary My Dear Turtle"), with the year dated "1500", indicating they have been teleported back in time. Donatello soon starts the time machine, and everything around them begins to spin like in Elementary My Dear Turtle and the TMNT return to their own time when the clock turns back to "1993". The story leaves Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady 493 years back in the past, maybe dead? Later in the TMNT's sewer lair, Michelangelo "scares" the other with a pirate flag.

I'm pretty sure that as a kid I must have made a TMNT/X-Men crossover at some point.

I most certainly did, and I wish I still had them all.

I was greatly influenced by an older cousin who has forgotten more about drawing than I'll ever know, and who was also the one that turned me into a TMNT fan & Marvel zombie. He actually sent a portfolio around to a few of the bigger publishers when he was right out of high school, but he got discouraged and ended up going into computer programming. I still think he could have made it if he kept trying.

From about 6-10 I used to make my own comics, anywhere from 1-10 pages on plain typing paper, and generally involving TMNT, or my favorite Marvel characters: Wolverine, Sabretooth, Punisher & Spider-Man. I don't remember anything about them, except that a parent-teacher conference got called when I was in 3rd grade based on the contents of one of my Punisher/TMNT cross-over comics which my teacher caught me drawing in class. I think that was right after I got into Mirage Volume 1, and right after I read Ghosts of Innocence where Frank Castle avenged the deaths of a school bus full of children. LOL.

My best friend and I did a bunch of them in our youth. I've still got them somewhere in my apartment. They're not anything special though.

I've only recently tried my hand at comics....as a kid I would draw the Turtles a lot, but they were only really static pictures (no movement, no story as in a comic strip/book).

Evidence, please?

I'm working on 2 right now...a TMNT one based off of Will Tupper's script (http://willtupper.wordpress.com/2008/07/30/tales-of-the-tmnt-scrap-heap/), but I was waiting for his ok before posting. Also I'm not done yet.

The 2nd features my family as super heroes in the style of secret agents. Some concept art:

2 more...ignore super sucky legs

As much as I love to draw, somehow I've never seemed to peg down an individual style; instead, I'm all over the place. Perspective and I are archenemies, too. ;) Please don't make fun of the weapons. I know they're rot.

Your art is downright decent. I'd read anything you produced.

My arch-enemies are hands and feet. My drawing style is like a stylized comic book. Your drawings have potential, keep it up!

As a kid I also wrote a story called "The Final Battle" which took place right after "Bye Bye Fly" and involved Krang creating Ace Duck. I should've drawn this as a comic.

Thanks J-Rod! And yes, you should have totally drawn that. Got the story still? It's not too late!!

Even if the flattery is honest? Because seriously, I really like your style, especially to the bogus rot my pen has produced.

How's the plot/storyline in that story. It sounds very cool (except for it can't be set after "Bye Bye Fly", but before "Attack of Big Macc" since Ace Duck is in that episode). I found another story based on that on the Internet back in 2004: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1115105/1/Duck_and_Cover).

My drawing skills are sub-par at best :P but I do love reading other people's comics. There's a few on DeviantArt which are quite good.

I was thinking of trying my hand at writing some stuff but seeing as I haven't even finished the CSI and Angel fics I started about 4 years ago...I'm not holding my breath :D

I do still have the story somewhere..it might be in this very desk..::goes to look:: I did do a few drawings in that story, it was more like a book, with drawings every now and then..

I actually wrote the story in 1989, after "Bye Bye Fly" had aired..I don't think I'd even seen "Big Macc" yet. I was 11 at the time, so I bet it wasn't a masterpiece.. I wonder if it's cringe-worthy?

How is it connected to "Bye Bye Fly"?

It starts where it left off, with Baxter in the spider web.

I would like to know what happened in the story. I like TMNT fanfiction

Hmm..I'll have to track it down. I know it's around here somewhere. Maybe I'll transcribe it when I find it.
