My friends. Tonight I present to you the most monumental additions to my collection in the 20 years I've been a Ninja Turtle collector. Weeks ago I announced on my blog (http://www.theturtlevan.com) that I had secured some very special items, but I did not want to reveal them to you until I had them in hand. Well...today they arrived. Friends, I give you my most prized possessions:

This is an original urethane cast prototype of Pizzaface. He is hand painted, and features the Unreleased "shrunken head" head sculpt. The sculptor, Scott Hensey, has confirmed that this is the only existing example of this version of Pizzaface. Enjoy some pictures, and we will get to the next item.

The next item is even MORE exciting than the Pizzaface cast. This is the Original WAX SCULPT OF CASEY JONES. As if that weren't incredible enough, he also features the unreleased Maskless alternate head! This sculpt has also been confirmed by Scott Hensey as being the only one in the world.

Both of these figures came with certificates of authenticity signed by Scott Hensey. I am so overjoyed that I was able to acquire these figures, and that there is such a wonderful community that I can share this event with. Thank You all for reading!

Wow congratulations! This is the score to end all scores. Did you get these from Scott himself?

I think you should cast the casey jones alternate head and sell it, or have someone who knows to do that stuff do it. It shouldn't ruin the original and then you can pump out a bunch of awesome maskless casey heads to the entire community (and probably make a decent profit).

And because I'm really curious, what ballpark range did you pay for these?

Yes :-)

That is a thought. But I would want to get Scott's permission to do something like that first, AND I would need to DEFINITELY make CERTAIN no harm would come to it, as it is a priceless piece of toy history in my opinion. But yes, it is a thought :-)

Sorry Ecto, but that information is between myself and Scott. The amount was considerable.

Excellent one-of-a-kind purchases! It's too bad the original Pizzaface didn't have a removable hat with the shrunken head concealed inside. I would've loved to have seen the Playmates Casey figure to have swappable heads, or a removable mask, too.

I wouldn't recommend casting the Casey head and selling it, that sounds like a great way to get sued by Playmates and/or Peter Laird.

Wow, that Pizzaface with the shrunken head is creepy! I can see why that version was never released and they just put a cap on him.

Casey Jones with an alternate head is cool, he never did remove his mask in the old toon

The unmasked Casey head is awesome because it resembles Clint Eastwood.

Yeah I don't think casting it without Scott's permission would be a good idea, but Playmates/Mirage I doubt could do anything as long as you're not reproducing the Casey figure itself. I've seen Joe prototypes cast before. Of course you'd want to make sure the original wouldn't get ruined though, that's the biggest thing. There has to be a way since Scott obviously cast it at some point.

But anyway I was only wondering about the price you paid because normally Scott will put these on eBay. You must have made him an offer he couldn't refuse. I guess that makes you the Godfather of TMNT toy collecting ;)

As soon as I saw those, I wanted to email Scott and make him a totally insane offer that I knew he would have to take. The only thing I was missing... was the money... which you clearly had.

Honestly though, bra-freakin-vo dude. I am just hella glad they got out of a box in Scott's closet and into the beloved collection of a fellow 'dromer!

wow. BOTH of those are freaking awesome!

i never knew that pizza face was supposed to have a removable hat!!! does anyone know if there are other drastically changed figures from the old line like this? iam not nearly up to snuff on my trivia as many of you prob are.

that casey is cool too. i always wished he had a removable mask. then again i never did see his face in the toon and he wasnt nearly as big and crucial to the line back then as he is now.

Probably the safest way to cast a wax sculpture, without destroying it in the process, would be a silicon mold.

I don't expect anyone to top this set of figures you have acquired anytime soon.
Can you attach the unmasked Casey Jones head sculpt to the body ?

Unfortunately no. The unmasked head has a peg attached to it, and so does the body. The masked head has a hole rather than a peg, so it fits.

Sweet, that Pizzaface is awesome!!
The paint job is great as well.
I could only imagine if they really took time to paint the vintage figures how amazing they would look.
