I just had to brag a little... since there's not much else going on in my life for excitement. I did get my San Diego boxset the other day, to go along with my NYCC set. Not too shabby for a fool who couldn't make it to either convention.

And no... I didn't have to pay the most ridiculous prices, I was able to purchase my NYCC set from Murph through his lil' contest at the 5th turtle and the SD set was just a lucky ebay snipe at a very, very low price.

I did a little photo-shoot to celebrate.

Thanks for the words y'all! I think these boxes are the best things that have happened to Turtles figs since 1988 and I never thought that with my relatively limited means I'd be lucky enough to get both sets.

Just goes to show how spending hours and hours of every day sifting through every TMNT blog and ebay auction on the 'net can sometimes pay off!:lol::lol:

You can go on Ebay and hope for a good deal like I had to with my SDCC set, or, and this is a much more appealing idea... :D You could invent a time machine and go back to both cons in order to buy them straight from NECA for the original price of what was it, like $50? :lol:

What I find awesome is the fact the colorful Turtles are signed by Pete and the black/white TMNT is signed by Kevin. Just the way it should be.

RIGHT - and what's cool is that for the black and white set, I still got the card signed by Pete and the "Raphael Group" card that was given to folks so they could get their set signed by Kevin - next best thing to actually going I suppose. :ohwell:
