what do you people think of the voice acting in the orginal series? Do you think it holds up by todays standards of voice acting in cartoons? My eight year old neice Jess watches the new series with me and loves it, as well other cartoons like justice league and batman. I've recently been showing her some of the orginal turtle series and after a few episodes she told me that the voice acting sucked. :o :o
At first I thought she ment that the dialogue sucked because it was corny, but Jess told me that the acting it self was just terriable, and that voices them selves where bad. She said when ever the characters try to sound sad or angry or even excited that they sound so fake and unrealistic. There was one point where I was showing my neice the episode where irma gets taller and Leonardo loses control of the van driving toward her and he screems "I can't stoooop!" and my neice thought he sound way to forced and didn't sound really scared.
My younger cousins (who range between eighteen and five) kind of have the same opinion that the voice acting in the orginal toon is kind of terriable. :( Does any one else get this when you show the orginal series to any one who didn't grow up watching the series? I'm wondering if the reason I think the voice and acting of the characters in the orginal series is good is because I'm blinded by the fondness for the show and the fact that it's voiced by voice actors i adore that I over look some of it's flaws. :-? Would you say the voices and acting quaility of othe old series is as good as the new toon and cartoons today?
