Hello fellow dromers!

This is my first post to the Toy community here... I'm excited to get to know you all...

Anyhow, on to my question...

So I'm all over the net looking at Vintage TMNT. I probably spend a good hour or two every day looking through everything in Ebay. Anyhow, I found that some folks will actually spell TMNT as TNMT. haha.

Well... I found an auction where, sure enough, someone had 49 TNMT MOC figures. haha... The auction gave their conditions, and listed them very articulately. So I bid on it. I had a 10% coupon with ebay so the total for everything came to 340 summin.

Here is the auction:

So here is the big question... Did I do well or get ripped. I honestly think if the collection were properly listed it would have sold for much more. What do you think? Be brutally honest here. I would like to know either way. I plan to hang them proudly on my wall. ;)

Looking forward to your replies!

to me that seems like a hell of a deal. it's got all the original characters moc, the most popular characters. i would easily of spent the same for that collection, but i already have most of them moc. MOC vintage tmnt figures make for a great display piece!

I wouldnt see that as getting a deal nor getting ripped off. You hit what I would call a pretty standard range for that lot.

If you break it down by figure, you only paid like $7.65 per figure. Can't complain about that.

For me, it looks like a pretty solid purchase, considering what you're getting. And if you don't have any of those, then you really made out as I can just about guarantee that if you tried to get all of those individually, you would have spent more. To get all of that at that price, you would have to have been REAL patient to find cheap deals.

Yep, you did pretty good there. Especially since the cards and bubbles look to be in darn good shape. The most TMNT figs I've purchased in one lot was only about 15, and they were all case fresh and mostly unpunched, though it was almost all minor characters from 90-92, though there was a Genghis Frog, Slash & Usagi Yojimbo. It worked out to about $6 each and I was immensely glad to secure a good chunk of the 88-98 collection at that price (I'm slowly working on the whole enchilada MOC :o). I've seen the same figs go individually for like $20+ each which is frankly ridiculous, but that's ebay for you.

Deals like this can still be had, but in my opinion they are getting rarer.
