So this one I worked on for about 2 weeks as my schedule is very busy.
I used a DC Universe Etrigan the Demon figure for the base as it's been made known to me that this is the character Kevin Eastman was inspired by when creating Complete Carnage.

What I did to the figure was: sanded it down from head to toe, took off his bracelets, then went at the head sanding down the horns and nose, I pretty much sculpted a new face over the head extending the jaw so it hangs more like Carnage's does, added the little blocks on top of his head as advised by Ryan Brown (The Spiked head look came later and is sacrilegious according to him), I sliced part of the fin ear things off the side of his head as well to match the number Carnage had on his design, & I also added nipples to his chest as every time we see the character he's had them.

The paint was done using both glossy and flat acrylic paints and several washes of different shades of gray.
This was a very fun character to make and I hope I can make Radical some point down the road as well.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

This is one of the coolest things I've seen here. Complete Carnage is one of my favorite (and most ignored) TMNT characters and your figure's spot on. I like how you got that "cement texture" to look right.
Interesting to hear Ryan Brown's comments on the head spikes. What's the word on whether or not he's supposed to be wearing a speedo? Sometimes he seems to be but othertimes he looks like he's walking around in his birthday suit. Also, Lawson's recently given him some shoulder ornaments which I liked.

I always think of Marvel's Abomination when I see Complete Carnage, not DC's Demon, but that's just me.
Anyway, looks mighty spiffy. I think the fin ears could have been positioned a bit higher on the head (they're more suggestive of gills in that lower position, like on Hellboy's Abe Sapien). The paintwork is a little too layered/heavy--I think it ends up obscuring more than it accentuates the underlying sculpt, particularly on the arms and legs.

Wow, great work Vaughn... I love the paint job
Thanks very much!

Thanks man, I put as much time into them and stop when I'm happy with them.

Wow thanks man, Same here love the character and really wish he got used more before Leonardo killed him in the comics.
I'm glad you got exactly what I was going for as it seems a few people didn't understand what I was going for there with this.
Yeah I asked Ryan Brown exactly how he should look and he said to design it by how he looks in his first appearance in Tales # 5.
I also sent the images to Kevin Eastman and asked him what he thinks and he thinks it's perfect as do Murph, so the Mirage guys are impressed I honestly could care less what anyone thinks besides the people who created these characters and have worked with them all these years.
About the Speedo, yes I think he's got it that's why I kept a bit of the undy look that the Demon had but I perhaps should have used a different gray color for that, I was just happy with how it was going so I may have skipped on that a bit.
My version did turn out to be an amalgam of the character a bit though in some ways, but i cant help it I love Dooney's art way to much to completely ignore it.
that's wonderful.
i especially like what you did with the cape and the paint job is excellent.

Hey thanks, I used a mixture of Liquitex paints both Glossy and non for the body, the eyes are red glossy Liquitex, and the last layer is Americana acrylic paints that you can buy at just about any craft store.
I saw the avitar and was wondering when we'd see the pictures...nice work.
Thanks Uncle Jesty, Yeah got a few more things in the works, and something that's been shown to some people recently in higher places and they really like it and it may go to our benefit, but we shall wait for that and see if it pans out before I say to much on the subject I don't wanna get any hope up.

Glad you like em' I really do try my best with them, I know I'm not the best and never said I was but in time I'll learn what I can so I can get closer to it.
I think Kala and Complete Carnage are the only ones I've ever seen @.@
I've done a few that I've only shown to my TMNT friends that I talk to outside of the Drome and of course the mirage staff.
Very nice. Keep it up.
Thank you, and I'm trying for sure some times things cost allot of money but hey I want to make thing sbad enough so I'm willing to spend it.
One of my next ones is going to be over 15 inches tall.
Awesome work as always. All of your customs are amazing as well.
thank you Shuriken, I'm just gonna keep at it and with the fans support as well as Mirages crew it will most def. help me to get things done allot faster.
That is friggin' awesome, he actually looks as though he's made of stone! Just incredible!
So glad you got it also Raven, that's exactly what I was going for.

Well I was told by Ryan Brown & Peter Laird that Kevin Eastman was inspired by the Demon so that's who I went for as my base Kevin & Ryan both loved it and where very impressed and that's who I was aiming for and went as far to ask their advice and imput so it's on them how this thing looks.
Michael Dooney and other artist have drawn him even more closely to how the Demon looks over time.
The only time Carnage has ever looked like Abomination to me was when they cloned him and he was purple in the Savage Dragon Cross over which was drawn by Michael Dooney, I do plan to make that as well and I will be making it out of a Abomination figure.
The fins/ ears whatever they are since no one at Mirage even knows lol where left in that spot because I slice them off the original figures head bit by bit and yes I agree but I wasn't about to sculpt them all over again, and it's for me so I'm fine with it to be honest.
I painted it that way for a reason I wanted to capture the colored details found on the cover of Tales of the TMNT #5 as instructed by Ryan Brown.
I sanded the figure down from head to toe so he didn't have many details at all and Complete Carnage in his first issue doesn't have much detail anyway, so I focused on that Stony look instead of trying to keep the Demons scaly skin look.
Oh well can't pleas em' all, almost everyone else enjoyed it though including the creators and artists behind the monster.
So I'm happy with that. :)

Do you plan to repaint that Usagi figure to bring it more in line with the NECA stuff and your customs?
