Hey Nun! I just finished reading Popcorn. Funny stuff! Okay, now for a suggestion on one of the Truth or Dares....since no one's suggested anything for poor little Donnie, I say have one of the girls dare him to walk into an "adult" store and purchase an "adult" video. Truth and Dare... heh... gee, why are the erotic/sex related things the topics people pick ont he most. *I* was one of those geeks victum to having to kiss the cutest guy in that group of evil people on the lips. So original (and *very* embarrassing)... :razz:
So, what's wrong with Leo going into a store and stealing something really nice? Or having Raph go into a (catholic) church and ask the priest to forgive him for his sins? Oooor, have Mike sit and watch one of the dullest documentaries on the educational channels, while being made to sit Japanese style, and he can't move or fall asleep, for the whole hour?
(my personal fav was in Alpha Source, where I as Raph, dared Leo to drink down a whole glass of alcoholic tea. What happened afterwards was just hilarious!)
And those were just the dares... I hadn't gotten to the Truth's part yet! :lol:

Thats kinda why ive neverdrank, smoked, done the horizontal tango (shush mike!)... its been ingrained into me. I'd love to do stuff like the guys, that'd be a blast, even if we DO get into trouble.

Even though we did have fun and I look back on some of the things we did and smile. That part of my life nearly killed me. I am lucky I have the parents I do.

Oddly, my parents never gave us much disapline, and I still ended up fine. I've never gotten in much trouble. My parents drink some, and smoke, and I'm trying to be as UN-like my parents as possible.

But there's no confirmation with that one! (*snicker*) You have to do something where everybody in the group will be able to witness it. If he's in the booth, they won't be able to hear him, even if they were in the church.

hehe..... I doubt you seen this movie, Chucker, but the T&D part in Popcorn is so reminding me of this one part in American Pie 2.
There's this part where the college guys are painting a house for these two girls. Then one of them (Stifler - who's like this obnoxious cross b/w Mike and Raph), went inside to see if they are lesbian. Then his two other buddies (a Leo and a Don type) go back inside to get him out before the girls return.
But they are too late! The girls ask them what they were doing, and Stifler blurts out that he was just wondering if they were... and so they girls start teasing them. They wouldn't do something to each other until the guys do something to each other. It was sooo hilarious when Jim and Stifler had to kiss! :lol:
I might write a TMNT parody after this summer. :razz:

I still think Raph should be dared to go to church and confess his ALL sins out loud in prayer (which could include him asking forgiveness for lying about not being virgin). Just have him go up to the alter to kneel then, with the others sitting in the pews (trying so desperately to not bust out laughing). :evilgrin:

And on TOPIC :: I was placed with the similar challenge of what Splinter would to do the Turtles in my HI NO DE fic. And I decided that they had been shot up and endured enough guilt trips they didn't need anymore.
But I could imagine in Popcorn, that Nikki's Splinter would make them extensively clean the lair from top to bottom, then they would have much longer training practice for a week or so to make them more tired, so they aren't as tempted to go above and get into trouble. :razz:

Lifelines is very good. Lots of fun little flashbacks. i loved the centerfold incident, and don's decision against using bladed weapons. Im the same way, that's why im planning on mastering the bo in my karate class...

I read both, and I agree in the laughably quotent. Raph sure did get peeved in Popcorn... I guess he hadn't heard abuot the Rule of Three to save his arse. :lol:
'Moonlighting Mike', on the other hand, is certainly sounding more like "the love machine" description with each passing paragraph. Also agree with your BF, SC... the writing style is good too.

having a big chapter is a good thing, tho! if a chapters too short, you cant really get deep into it, with the atmosphere and such. My average chapter in FoG was about five pages...

Yep, but long chapters can be a good thing, HT! I finished reading what you have of Mummer's Dance last night, and I'm very impressed! Sure, it was long, but it was worth it! As for me, my chapters' lengths vary. I like to use 1.5 line spacing, though. Makes it easier to read :grin:
