Some of you may have seen this, but I had a few questions to ask some of the toy gurus. This is the toy in question:

Seller simply states that it is unpainted with no trade mark or packaging.

It comes from Japan and was wondering if that sounds right.

Is it truely just an unpainted figure or can paint be removed from figures?

Would this be considered an error or sculpt or what?

Any additional info would be awesome...

Yeah, he just isn't on par with the lingo. It is a prototype.

Most 2k Protos (in my experience) ship from Japan, China, or Korea.

Anything that would eat the paint off a figure would also eat the figure.

It's a prototype, specifically a "Test Shot". These are copies that are made out of...usually whatever plastic is lying around to test the molds and to shop around the company for aprovals and whatnot. "Test Shots" are the last prototypes to be made before actual production.

Judging from the seller's other auctions, I would say he is probably employed by a toy manufacuring plant in japan.
