Well apparently they can't get together on TMNT related things anymore.

Peter occasionally says good things about Kevin on his blog (http://plairdblog.blogspot.com/), especially when he posts an old piece of art that Kevin gave him. But the affection stops there.

Peter said that Kevin sold all his TMNT rights to Peter, which is untrue; Kevin just sold his creative rights. Kevin then conducted an extremely inflammatory interview (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=127540) insulting Peter in all sorts of ways. Since then, Peter said he was hoping to be in contact with Kevin for the 25th anniversary, but since hearing about that interview, Peter was insulted and wanted little more to do with Kevin.

I think their relationship was tense for years anyway, and this was just the nail in the coffin.

Kevin ended up selling all of the rights in the end. Sometime last year, I think. There was something about it on Murphy's blog.

I haven't met them before, but I haven't really had a bad experience yet getting any autograph before. It seems like most people will try to be friendly. Maybe only really being famous in "geek culture" helps them stay a little grounded.

Still, I like hearing autograph horror stories. It's interesting to hear who some of the bad ones are in the comic book/sci-fi movie world.

I don't know them or meet them either, so I can't say. But to create something that has made millions of people worldwide happy, it's another story.

What happened with Peter and Kevin is very sad considering all the things they've done together, but hey, it's their lives. We jsut have to respect their decision.

It's like the comic book equivalent of a broken up band. Sometimes it makes you wonder what could happen if they buried the hatchet.
