Old Toon Homages to the Comics

I was watching "Corporate Raiers from Dimension X" the other day when I noticed this little tidbit. When the Turtles free the CEO of Octopus Inc, they inform him that Shredder has taken over the company. The CEO responds, "But he was supposed to be a silent partner!"

Now, a silent partner normally refers to a secret business associate, but it's also the name of issue #10, in which Shredder returns and destroys April's apartment.

Anyone catch other little references like this?

I'm pretty sure it was just a pun. I doubt the writer/writers even read that issue. But ya never know.

We do see Shredder's brother in an old toon episode, "My brother, the Bad Guy," although his name wasn't Oroku Nagi if I remember correctly. He was also a police officer.
