Hi! I recently bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220346295092, and wondered if i would be wasting money if invested in this http://cgi.ebay.com/NECA-TEENAGE-MUTANT-NINJA-TURTLES-SET-OF-4-FIGURES-TMNT_W0QQitemZ370147565171QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_De faultDomain_0?hash=item370147565171&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1240|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50 to?

well, the boxed set does NOT come with bases. but really, i dont think these will be very valuable or be hard to find down the road. who know, if ya want them buy em. dont matter how much they are worth.

if your going to open them and display them, id recommend the single ones as the base makes them look better. but if not, theres no point in getting the carded ones if you wont be opening them. i think the single carded ones will be worth more than the box set. if you want to invest in them, id recommend trying to find the sdcc boxed set. they come with the b/w base. we probably wont be getting the single b/w figures so thats the only way you will get them. or, you already got the colored box set, now you can get the b/w boxed set if you want variety.

It's not just the bases that's missing from the box set. All extras (throwing stars, climbing claws, TCRI can, baby turtles, etc.) only come with the figures with the bases. The box set comes with their weapons and nothing else. I think the difference is worth higher price.

yeah but if hes keeping them carded all that extra stuff wont matter. but yeah, like i said, the single ones will probably be worth more.

OrokuSaki asked to be specific. I was telling him specifically what the differences are. No offence samhain, but the way you stated above makes it sound like the only difference between the two are the bases. Some would not find the base that much of a reason to pay more (In fact, I'd tell him to save his money and get the set if that was the only difference). As for opening or not, heck if I know if he's gonna open them. I'm just giving him the differences. Though now that I think of it, the singles will be more valuable eitherway since Raph and Don were shortpacked and the extra item. For looks though, the set is pretty in box.

If youre looking for an investment I would recommend looking into the convention exclusive versions. They are signed, all 4 come in a single box, and they have their bases.
