View Full Version : had Mikey ever talked back to his "older" brothers?

I haven't read or watched all Turtles media versions, but I'm just curious if Mikey had ever (I'm not a native English speaker and this phrase is the nearest English phrase I can think of on what I'm thinking in my native tongue) talked back to either of his "older brothers". Yeah, I know that when he believes he is right, he tells his opinion to his "older" brothers like the time he thinks that maybe being a superhero with the saving people and stuff is a good thing, but he did that in a rather respectful if you ask me and down-to-earth manner. They even laughed at him and he had to walk-out. If that was Raph he could have shouted at Leo real bad, wrestle Leo down, had a bad argument with Don threatening to smack him (like in the CGI movie), etc.

So had Mikey ever talked back to his "older" brothers? Was he ever disrespectful to any of them--- jokes specially to Raph doesn't count. Disrespectful as in "Raph disrespectful to Leo before" type.

I think it's pretty disrespectful of Mike to badger, pick on, tease, egg on, piss off Raph when he does.

Raphael needs to cool it.:D I wouldn't say it's disrespectful, more like putting his health at risk.

Michelangelo puts up with a lot from his brothers, too. That "dissected" website brings up a good point about how he seems to get picked on an awful lot.

Aw come on... busting an older brother's chops is a way of sibling life! :D

I think he'd be more playful about it, but if he got angry enough, he'd be able to argue with the rest of them. That would take a Lot though, considering his temperament.

((thats how I am with my older brothers, anyways...))

I'm surprised with all the times Raph bops Mikey, Mikey keeps raggin 'im. I mean, is he a glutton for punishment or what?

With all the smacks from Raph in the 2k3 series, I'm surprised Mikey didn't snap and punch Raph in the face. Honestly, anyone would have.

Anyway, I really haven't seen much of anything of Mikey fighting back (verbally or mentally) at any of his brothers. Though let's be honest, there isn't much provocation to do so. Don and Leo barely pick on Mikey. And only in the 2k3 series have I seen Raph piss on Mikey over and over for the sake of being a dick. So if there's going to be any talk-back from Mikey, it would only be towards Raph.

No, but in the old toon Raph sure insults Mikey verbally a lot.

I don't get what is being asked here exactly? Has Mikey ever been provoked to talk back to one of his brothers before? You're basically asking if Mikey has ever lost his temper with his brothers. Theres already a thread discussing that right here:

http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=26155

since this is basically asking the same question perhaps it should be merged with the Don and Mikey temper thread.

I think it's pretty disrespectful of Mike to badger, pick on, tease, egg on, piss off Raph when he does.

exactly. Mikey brings most of his abuse down on him self.

this whole thread reminds me of the topic I started on whether or not Mikey will ever some day back hand his brothers when they hit him.

Sorry 'bout that. I wasn't a member yet when that thread was created and I wasn't able to read the past threads. Anyway, the poll/thread questions are different. The question is has Mikey ever talked back (in the past tense), while in the other one, If Mikey will ever slap back (in the future tense)? Anyway, they have the same intensions.

As of this moment, "yes" and "so-so" is a tie.

as ornery as Mikey can be with people in general, he doesn't appear to be particulary inclined to piss on people that much. I notice in battle situations Mikey is least likely to talk back to Leo than Raph and Don.

I remember an instance in season four when Leo was freaking out in season four he flipped on every one for not stopping the whole convoy that was being jacked, and Don and Raph where the only ones that said anything to him. Even though both Raph and Don where respectful to Leo when he was flipping on them I noticed Mikey was the only one that didn't say anything.

Where did you get that from? Don and Leo beat down on Mikey almost as much as Raph does. They also have picked on him with little to no provoction on Mikey's part too. Don and Leo forced him to eat floor wax to make him sick to create a diversion, and they are both guilty of putting him down. And this with out even Raph being around.

You misunderstood me. Yes, I know that Don and Leo forcibly made Mikey eat floor wax while pinning him down (...that's so... I can't think of the correct moving words right now... but anyway) without Raph and I was the one who brought that up in this thread. Don and Leo picks on Mikey with or without Raph.

:-?

Family conversion? As in, in your family. When you parents or your siblings or your housemates make a decision, do you just let them decide or you're the Numero Uno Playmaker.

I recently red in TMNTPedia that Mike in the 2k3 version that he's more immature and childish.

from watching both the new and 80's cartoons I would say that Mikey is given grief by his brothers in both versions. But I wouldn't say that Mikey is particularly disrespectful to his brothers in eighther version.

Though Mikey is hardly as annoying in the old show. He's just chillin and doing whatever. New Toon Mikey is a damned annoying attention whore, so he kinda deserves/asks for all the times he gets smacked.

I agree. Half the time he doesn't deserve the snarky remarks tossed at him. What I like about OT Mike is that he normally just does his own thing.
