Hi Everybody!!
I've been here at the site for a few months now. Some of you that I've talked to were interested in seeing what over 2 1/2 decades of toy collecting can do to a home. I prefer to think of my collection as organized chaos, but I'm sure some of you will think it's a nightmare. I collect many different toy lines, but am partial to TMNT, Megos and Superheros. Most of my collection is MOC/MIB, but there are many loose pieces as well. For those of you that have already seen it, thanks for understanding. For those who haven't, I hope you enjoy the trip. Welcome to the basement of my home and know that I couldn't do this without a very understanding wife.

AAAAWWWWWWW Come on......... Megos are great. The way all you youngsters feel about the TMNT, that's how I remember Megos. I was a kid in the 70's and they were one of the big toylines. That is the only toy line I collect loose. Takes me back to when I was a kid in grammer school. I gotta know which one creeps you out.

I think they are just too close to dolls for me. My grandmother was a china doll collector (like I collect turtles). When we would go to visit, I had to sleep in "the doll room". It traumatized me.

Good-gravy-boat-Marie! Awesome collection. I really dig the glass display shelving too. Good stuff.
Thanks,
The glass display cases with the wood bottoms are from the old Warner Brothers Studio Stores. I bought those when they went out of business in '97-'98. The backs are all locking drawers. The tall glass cabinets (with the four TMNT statues) are 6feet tall and came from a card store that went out of business in my town.
While I was digging in some boxes I have, I came across this model that I forgot I had. I don't remember many TMNT models over the years. This model is still sealed in the plastic wrap, it comes with Leo's katana and Don's bo. It also comes with what every ninja needs..... his very own robot.

its a bootleg.
Actually, they're NOT bootlegs...... They are little PVC figures and were made in Germany by a company named BULLY. These figures are all licensed and all have the 1988 Mirage Studios trademark embossed on them. Bully is famous for making these PVCs of many different characters, including cartoon characters, DC and Marvel Superheros and even movie figures.
If you look at the first picture in this thread, you should be able to see that I have all four turtles, Splinter, Bebop and all four turtles from the first Mutant Military set. Each figure is about 3 inches and is non posable.

Hi again,
A couple more pictures of stuff some of you might find interesting. First pictures is of two different TMNT sets from Spain. The Halfcourt and Toddler Leo are in picture just to show size comparison. I got both these sets from a toy dealer that bought them on her vacation in the mid-90s. The set next to Halfcourt is just neat because of so many figures in the bag. Each figure, and there's a buch in there, is about 1 inch tall. This set is not licensed. The second set, next to Toddler Leo is offically licensed by Mirage. Each of these PVCs are almost 3 inches tall. Has anyone ever seen either of these sets before?
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/stuff00008-1.jpg
I know alot of you on the site like all the different Bootleleg/Knockoff figures. Here is set with colored cloth robes. These I might post on the Trade/Sell thread if there is any interest.

Hi again everybody. I was going through some boxes and came across something some bootleg/knockoff fans may find interesting.
First of all, many of you know about the Bootleg Giant Splinter. Some of you may know that there is also a Bootleg set of all four turtles. Each Turtle and Splinter ia about 9 inches tall. This picture has a Coil Force Leo in front for size comparison. Also, the Playmates Giant Bebop and Rocksteady are shown. The turtles and Splinter are about 4 inches shorter.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/knockoffset.jpg
Here's the part I wanted to show everyone. The Bootleg turtles had two different boxes that they came in. One was a window box and the second was a solid box. Just thought some of the variation hunters and bootleg fans would like to see the differences.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/stuff000102.jpg
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/stuff000112.jpg
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/stuff000122.jpg
The sides of the boxes are the same, so I only took one picture. Each of the solid boxes actually has a small colored dot on the top flap. That way you knew which turtle was in which box. Orange dot meant Mike was in the box, Blue dot...... Hope you all like the pictures!!!

Hey gang!
First of all, THANKS to all that have enjoyed looking at my collection pictures. Haven't added any new ones lately. But this weekend that just passed, It was like Christmas. I've been trying to straighten up a bit and get rid of some of the clutter. Plus, I'm also selling at a friends toy show next month and was looking for non-TMNT stuff to get rid of. I came across a box in the basement that I forgot all about!! The following pictures are of what I found in the box stored away for safe keeping.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/extra00011.jpg
Scratch, Shogun Triceraton and HotSpot all on very nice cards.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/extra00009.jpg
Shoate, Undercover Mike, Super Mutant Splinter and Shredder. This Shredder is one of my favorite figures in the entire TMNT line!
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/extra00005.jpg
Super Mutant Bebop and Rocksteady and Japanese Exclusive Saint Turtle and Dark Devil Shredder.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/extra00004.jpg
The best things in the box were these. Two sets of some of the toughest TMNT figure/sets around.
Not a bad lot at all. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I opened the box and found all this stuff inside. I really forgot about this stuff and don't remember packing it away at all. Well, I'm off to dig through some more boxes to see what else I can find!

This thing is incredible! It's basically a build your own original TMNT figure, AND companion robot. The only way it could be cooler is if the robot was rex-1 ;) I like how you have a lot of the international TMNT stuff. The magnet foot soldier and rocksteady are fantastic.
Holy shell! This ain't no nightmare, 'tis a toylover's wet dream! Your basement looks like a toystore, no, it's got more and better stuff than a toystore! :D

Hi again everybody. I haven't posted pictures in a while. I found a few more things that some of you die-hards might like to see.
First is the turtles cereal wall clock. I was told that these weren't widely available. They were only for Supermarkets that ordered enough of the cereal. Story sounds good if it's true. The clock is dated 1989.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/cerealclock.jpg
Second is a full set of the premuim TMNT rings. These were exclusive to Canada back in 1990. If I remember, they are from "Shreddies" cereal.
http://i718.photobucket.com/albums/ww182/jwiz154/cerealrings.jpg
Last is just kinda neat. It's a needlepoint picture. I just thought it was nice looking when I bought it many years ago. On the back it says " Happy 6th Birthday John May 24, 1991.

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. In my neck of the woods we've had some severe weather. I few weeks ago my basement flooded some. If you seen my pictures, you'll know that it wasn't fun. I did lose some toys to the rising tides and yes, some MOC TMNT stuff is now loose/complete.
Here's a picture I took awhile ago and forgot to post. It's an actual ceramic mold from Hope Industries. It was used to make magnets and watches back in the '90s. A packaged example is on both sides of the mold to show what the finished product was. Hope you all like it.

Well thats quite a unique find! I always loved the magnets/keychains, they packed alot of detail into such small items. If I had the mold I'd probably try to make something of my own with clay or resin or something. I'm really sorry to hear about the basement flood, man. Thats like the wonka factory of toys. But hey, if you wanted to get rid of those opened-by-"force of nature' figures, I'd bite lol.

I'm really sorry to hear about the basement flooding. That must have been a horrible feeling finding your precious collection soaked. My collection now resides in the basement as well and I too fear the worst will happen one day. As for now I'm dry. When I was finishing the basement I was thinking of you and how your collection survived in the basement with no problem for all of these years, now those feeling of security have been torn away.
I hope you didn't lose anything too valuable, good luck rebuilding.

Thanks so much for your concern. I did lose some MOC stuff, so now a few pieces are loose/complete. But most of the really good stuff was on "higher ground", so no major TMNT loses. For me, it's mostly about the hunt. Finding stuff for the collection is more fun than just owning. So I'm actually looking forward to the rebuilding part.

Here's the last Japanese Exclusive figure I needed to complete my collection. Japanese SuperTurtles Raph #56

Lastly are some "out of box" so you can see the figures. First is Mike, then the St Turtle. Then are the Devil Shredder and the (glow-in-the-dark) Dark Devil Shredder.

It took me over 10 years to finally complete this set. But now I'm all done! Hope you like the pictures!!

Thanks very much!! I just always liked these figures. The turtles are almost a cross of the U.S. Super Mutants and the MutantMasters. But the Shredders are different than anything released here. They actually "transform" into a T-rex looking dinosaurs.

Hey there everbody! I haven't been around or posted anything in a long time. Just thought somebody would like to see the full set of "eyes open" cookie jars. I think the look much nicer than the "closed eye" version. Don't know what anybody likes anymore but most/all of my TMNT collection is from the vintage line.

Awesome stuff, i really like your blitz cycle / hydro skimmer twins.
Do you have any sealed cases from 1988-1990?
I keep telling myself i am going to find a sealed case of sewer playsets some day.

Sorry, but I just saw this. Glad you like my doubles. Sorry, no cases from those years. I have about 10 or so cases from the end of the line (95-98 ) and a few from the next mutation.

That Mego collection is awesome. Is that the original Mego Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne or are those customs?

A little off subject as of late jwiz154, but do you know if there are any other Hard Hero Beast Wars statues other than Rhinox? That looks amazing and I'd love it if they made statues like that of other Beast Wars characters. :teek:

Wow!!.. Two really sharp eyes! I like to see what people actually like and pic out!!

I have over 200 loose/complete Mego figures. Sadly the four "Alter-Ego" figures are totally custom and repro figures. Almost everything else, except some emblems and a glove here or there, are all original.

As far as I can tell, only Rhinox was the only statue that made it to production. I had heard that an Optimus was planned, but I have never seen it anywhere.

Yeah that's crazy. I've only seen Rhinox and he must be decently rare huh? I would have been all over a Transmetal or Transmetal 2 Megatron, Inferno, Scorponok, Transmetal Tarantulas, Rampage, Transmetal 2 Dinobot, Dinobot, Transmetal Cheetor, Silverbolt, Depthcharge, and Tigerhawk! The statue looks amazing. I sure wish they would have made more of them. :tconfuse: That's a great collection you have by the way.
