Could the bad guys be redeemed?

I was wondering, in the old toon do you think it would have been possiable that Bebop and Rocksteady could have been redeemed? I mean they wheren't really evil and on their own they where pretty harmless (tearing up public property aside) there where times I thought they could have been anti-heros.

And how about Shredder, he had an honorable brother who was a police officer and as time went on in the series he became less threatening as villian. Do you think he could have been redeemed? It seems most of his evil prowess came from the power and technology Krang provided him.

Naw. Shredder's too evil and he's never gonna change. Bebop and Rocksteady are too dumb and violent to integrate themselves into a law-abiding society, so they'll soon go back to robbing banks and smashing up public property.

The only person I see being redeemed is Baxter. He wasn't all that evil and was really roped into everything. Blast him with the Retromutagen gun to turn him back to a human, and he'll be back on the right path.

this is slightly off topic, but can some one refresh my memery here on Red Sky? Did Shredder and Krang ever officially break it off with each other and go solo?

As much as I love the dynamic duo of Shredder and Krang in the classic toon, I kind of felt bad that Shredder didn't (or couldn't) strike out on his own and stand on his own two feet as a villian.

No. Shredder and Krang where never revealed to go apart in the ot series. And about the topic, i think all the villains there are who they are, and they wont change nice. MUhahaha:shredder:

Weird, they actually bonded over the years. In their last appearances, Shredder almost went out of his way to rescue Krang several times where he could have easily just left him there and save his own ass.
