Warning Lables~
On Sears hairdryer: Do not use while sleeping. (Gee, that's the only time I have to work on my hair!)

On a bag of Fritos: You could be a winner! No purchase necessary. Details inside. (The shoplifter special!)

On a bar of Dial soap: Directions: Use like regular soap. (and that would be how?)

On some Swann frozen dinners: Serving suggestion: Defrost. (But it's *just* a suggestion!)

On a hotel provided shower cap in a box: Fits one head.

On Tesco's Tiramisu dessert (printed on bottom of the box): Do not turn upside down. (Too late! You lose!) (I love it: food to piss you off.)

On Marks & Spencer Bread Pudding: Product will be hot after heating. (Are you sure??? )

On packaging for a Rowenta iron: Do not iron clothes on body. (But wouldn't that save more time?)

On Boot's Children's cough medicine: Do not drive car or operate machinery. (We could do a lot to reduce the rate of construction accidents if we just kept those 5 year old off those fork lifts.)

On Nytol sleep aid: Warning: may cause drowsiness. (You think?!)

On a string of Chinese-made Christmas lights: For indoor or outdoor use only. (Can you use them underground?)

On a Japanese food processor: Not to be used for the other use. (the other use???.)

On an American Airlines packet of nuts: Instructions: open packet, eat nuts. (Thanks for the instructions!! :D)

On a Swedish chain saw: Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals. (now you tell me!!!)

On a childs' superman costume: Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly. (That's right, destroy a universal childhood fantasy!)

ROTFLMAO! I LOVE things like that. The scary thing is, they have those warnings for a reason. Like... people have actually done those things...

Ahh... we have a comedian on the boards... too bad the material is a little old.

I thought it was hilarious....maybe I'm just getting old :ohwell:

That is defiantly scary....I can't believe someone would ever try those things! :o

I've seen a report on those things once explaining why the warning labels are so weird. People actually sued product labels just because they've done something dumb with the items, so companies decided to take the "Better safe than sorry." route.

I find it odd that no one finds a problem with this yet they flipped out on him about a bus driver joke.

P.S.: How is that racist? I may be a little off but Bus Driver isn't a race...

I guess people misunderstood the joke. I just figure that I've heard either so much that it's not really that funny to me anymore. Now, if you guys wanna hear some dirty jokes, I got some...

I'd revolt and tell some jokes of my own, but I know it wouldn't be long before I got kicked. I still can't believe people locked the topic and called it racist.

I see the bus driver joke as this... a smart ass kid telling his little theory, an old man trying to trick the kid, and the kid ending up making fun of the older man. Just so happens he's a bus driver. Now, maybe someone is a bus driver on the boards? Or someone's parents are gay and prostitutes? Either way it's a dead subject. Oi

If some of you are upset with a decision that a moderator has made, please discuss it with them through PM, IM, or email. Complaining about it here won't accomplish anything.

maybe you misunderstood, we never said that that joke was racist, we said it was innapropriate, because yea, maybe someones parents on here are prostitutes, or homosexual. HT said that they had to close down some racist points, and seeing as how the first replyers on there (Rez, then Me) said that it was innapropriate, HT wanted to stop a flaming war. Well thats waht I got out of it anyway :P

Back on topic - I think people sueing a company for their own stupid actions is..*thinks how to say this* dumb :P Thats like those parents in the US who sued the McDonalds branch for making their kids fat! McD. didnt make the kids fat, it was the parents who drove the kids to McD in the first place :P !
