It was awesome! :o
Classic TMNT. Shredder, giant weapons, you know. Plus some great ninja action. Face it, you've always wanted to see the TMNT duke it out with the Foot on what looked like a pirate ship (and I didn't think they used ships like that anymore).
What the heck was that thing Shredder wanted from the lake?

WOW! That was the BEST thing I've ever seen in a cartoon, or even TV show. Seriously, this episode was perfectly amazing in every way. It know holds a solid position as my favorite Turtle-thing EVER second only to the first movie, and that is HUGE. The story was amazing, I wont leave any spoilers here, but I was in awe of how much better it kept getting as it went on. SO much amazing fighting, and the best use of weapons ever. And the only thing I'll say specifically about the episode - Shredder kicking ass against the Foot Clan?!?! WOW, he's actually a NINJA this time around unlike the old cartoon. PERFECT. A++++++ BEST EPISODE OF ANYTHING EVER!!!!!!

It was a pretty good episode but not as good as I thought it was gunna be. Next weeks looks really good. Baxter, Foot Tech Ninjas, and Hun fighting the turtles, gunna be awsome.

You guys should serioulsy post "Partial Spoiler" in your posts when you give info like this. I am one who dosen't want to know what the next episode holds, and I get kind of annoyed when I start reading a post and the plot is given away. Please be mindful of your posts. This is for EVERYONE.

It was a graet episode. Lots of action! Great fight scenes.
Loved the part where Mikey got the pirate accent and then he was like "uhh.forget the blow me over part!"
NEXT WEEKS looks SOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!!!! :o

Okay, I don't think it was "the best thing ever" :P But it was good!!
I didn't like that first fight with the bicycles and scooters, that was just weird :|
The later fight was preety good. Yeah it had Shredder beating people up, awesome of course!!!! :D :D
I don't know about that sword though, it was kind of weird, I mean it shoots crazy waves, and what the hell was that thing Shredder was after, the body with the seaweed or whatever :-?
This Episode gets a.... 8.6 out of 10

Also, I wonder if Oroku Saki (Sp?) is like me, never leaving his room  I cant wait til he turns into Shredder, that is gonna be a sweet episode :D :D

GAH! I turned off the TV before I could watch the preview for next week's episodes... bah...
Right then. This episode, as I figured, kicked all sorts of ass. Plenty of Saki, lots of Ninja action, and foreshadowing of things to come with Splinter. (of course, WE know it already, so it matters little. :D) I am TOTALLY digging Shredder in this cartoon- he hands TMNTG1's Shredder his helmet - COVERED IN POOP! Training his troops, zero tolerance for failure (and doing it the PROPER villian way, instead of shouting hundreds of different variations on "YOU FOOLS!") And look! Marty Isenberg! Huzzah!

No, they're human with special outfits. But even if they weren't human they would prolly still give off heat. Machines tend to do that.

Oh. I thought Shredder was good, as was in Foot.
And then.... notice the extreme turtles? :P
I liked the immplied theory behind that Sword of Tengu. It seems to feed off the persona chi energy to get it's static energy. Noticed that when it's held by a bare hand, it glows. But when the others hold it with that glov, it doesn't?
I had an idea for a sword like that i one fo my fanfics that involved Venus. Like she would sent her chi through the sword, instead of just using the ka mi.

Well about the seaweed body thing...
Yeah it is probably something to do with the utroms because as Saki said "It proves the exisistence of my enimies" and that the sword can locate artifacts and it was an artifact of sorts...

i think this ep was good but not great. i was expecting more from the preview, but it was still good anyways (definitely better than nano  ).
i really didn't like the fight with the sports equipment . . . it was really cheesy
it was funny at the start when splinter was dodging the TMNT in the lair, especially when mike grabbed splinter's food  . another thing was when the blackout occured in the lair . . . Dons like "maybe it's a blackout." and then i was thinking "maybe it's a way to cheap out on animation"
i'm also surprised with the animation . . . for example they never switched that glove from the left hand to the right hand (at least i didn't notice it if they did  ). Although i didn't like raphs roller blades :goofygri:
i think that sword was pretty cool but i have no idea what that body in the river was. i'm watching the ep again so maybe i'll have an idea within the next 20min.
good episode, not the best but an 8.5 / 10 :)

I agree with you. Thanks god Leo didn't fight with it like the other did. :dead:
Talking about Leo, anyone noticed that once again he saved Raph shell. I think he did it in every episode so far (not sure about "nano"). I loved that episode, great fighting scenes and funny lines. It was also cool to see Shredder in action, even if it was only training :D . But I want to know what was that thing they found in the water. An old magic armor ? An alien corpse ?
The next ep seems really good too (Raph and Casey seem to be captured by the foot clan). I'll have to wait another week before I find out for sure.....

the body that they found was the body of a utrom because he says that the body is proof of "their" presence in this city ("their" refers to his enemies that have alluded him for so long; he never mentions the utroms specifically) . . .
shredder's armour was there with him (it wasn't a hologram) because he said that the sword of tengu can locate other artifacts that share its unique origin and it glowed when he held it near the armour . . .
he also says that the sword will help him locate those that he has been looking for all these years . . .
i don't know of shredder's history with the utroms in the comics (if any) but all fingers seem to point towards them . . .

I need to watch the episode again, as I didn't notice it looking much like a hologram, but perhaps the sword resonated to it because only some of it was really there? He had pieces of the armor, and the hologram filled in the display with the pieces he had yet to retrieve?

Great ep!
The fighting scenes really impress me. They're so good!
Not just the TMNT, but Shredder kicks serious butt too.
I can't wait for the next episode! :tparty:
Episode was tight, as usual.
I like the extreme vehicles the Turtles were riding. Don't forget, even though they're Ninja, they're still TEENAGERS! :D

Great episode. IMO second to "Meet Casey Jones", howver I've yet to see #1 and #5 so far. Anyways, let me break it down.
Here's what works: Good job going back into the main plot with Shredder/Foot/Purple Dragons. So far the plot sees to be well written with this show. I loved the fighting between the Foot and turtles; not too violent but enough action to get us by. Saki was awesome when he was training, and I also like how he doesn't tolerate failures.
Here's what doesn't work: Where was Casey/April? Am I the only one that missed them? Also, please, GET RID OF THE DAMN EXTREME IDEA!!! IMO that's totally lame. As others have already said, only Mikey should really have an extreme vehicle.
Last word: Overall, as I said earlier, a great episode. Next week's episode looks even better and it also looks like the main plot gets developed more too. But back tho this week, I too believe the thing they pulled from the lake was Utrom-related. However, I never knew the Utroms were Shredder's enemies. Can anyone give me any history on this feud?

Okay, I didn't like the "Extreme green" stuff...that was just filler. I can't help but feel that Splinter must have had a huge grin on his face when he heard them crash in the dark. :)
Saki. Oh baby, he took his shirt off! *Fangirl squeal* I'm also impressed by his ability to fight with those long baggy pants on. I also don't think the hologram theory being bandied about here is correct. I believe he pulled a utrom body suit out of the water. He already has his armor.
I do find the number of wooden ships docked in NYC to be a bit strange, but it did make for some cool fight scenes.

1: The new Saki is a world away from the original cartoon one. But he still has a special place in my heart too. :)
2: We can't have every character in every episode. At least I feel now like April has a life outside of getting kidnapped and/or helping the turtles. I'm with you on the "down with extreme turtles" thing.
3: There is no history on it. This is a new universe, and it sounds like a totally new relationship between some of the character groups. I don't believe the Utroms and the Foot ever crossed paths in the Mirage series.

Good episode....i enjoyed the fight scenes....except with the roller blades and skooters and all....how lame and cheesy....to kiddish..ha...yes i realize its a kids show...but leave that crap out..it makes them look lame...
and the night vision and the air glider...seems to me they're trying to add way to many things to the cartoon to market.....the night vision made don look freaky too.haha..
but anyway....enough dissing..was a good episode....one of my favs so far.

Wow I'm so psyched to find out who Shredder's "enemies" are. I'm guessing the Utroms have something to do with it as well, but it's far too early to tell.
I liked this episode but there was some bad lines reminiscient of the first series "Extreme Green". I'm also not a fan of stupid fart jokes "Who smelt it dealt it" "Don't put the flame by Mikey...".
Otherwise I thought this episode was very interesting. I wished that they would have explained more of what the sword did and why it was so important. Next week's episode looks like it could be the best yet.

Exactly what I'm thinking. The body has gotta be an Utrom exoskeleton. It looked metal... robotic. And they never showed the front view... because it has an empty stomach cavity I bet.
And to answer the question you sorta asked, PanMan... Shredder and the Utroms never had any interaction in the original comic. They never met... never even knew the other existed.
Very interesting that both the sword *and* Shredder's armor are made of "alien" metal. Also interesting that the sword is from the 11th century, according to Splinter. If in fact, those artifacts *are* made of some type of Utrom alloy, that would indicate that the Utroms themselves were on Earth centuries ago. Quite different from their comic book counterparts who were only on Earth for a decade or so.
Overall, great episode! Awesome fights and a few more pieces to the much larger puzzle. Outstanding show all around!
As for next week, when I saw the new "cloaked" Tech-Ninjas the first thing that popped into my mind was *Predator*. :P

This is the part that intriques me the most. How did it come to be that the Foot are enemies with the Utroms. This seems to be a new plotbunny as opposed to the comics and movies.
But I like this twist, and I'm certianly looking forward to the next ep(s) to see what they are enemies.
About the Extreme gear... it did seem to not give the TMNT the edge when they tried to intervene with the Foot in the museum, it seemed. I was laughing at the irony of how Leo was stuck fighting off the soldiers hand and foot, and the other guys on their wheels are sayin "We're coming!"... but it seemed like a few looong seconds passed until they appear. Then the Ninja split by the time they do.

This episode was very funny in some parts. I could not stop snickering.
Rant time...
The best part about the Turtles' "playtime" at the beginning was when they all were going past/over/under Splinter, and he just kept moving. Dang, he's got some got moves. Unlike the boys, who crashed as soon as the lights went out, some ninja they are!
Collapsible wheels. Sweet. Almost makes me wanna go out and exercise. Almost. But they simply aren't as cool as the Foot's gear.
Got a kick out of Leo's duel with the bo-weilding Foot ninja. Guess they worked out how to deal with the whole "broken bo" thing. :D And Don's jousting was a riot! "Blades and blades" "Bowling for ninjas!" Very funny and slap-sticky but still exciting and not too corny. And then they crash again. "I sense a teamwork training session in our future." I totally agree, Mikey.
Cool magic sword! Probably not magic, but advanced technology, but I thought it was cool when it glowed near the Shredder armor. Does this mean Shredder's magic too? :???: By the way, Saki rules. He kicked all the ninjas butts and all without a shirt.
So, Splinter's really upset by this Foot thing. Wow, it's weird seeing him so... harsh would be the word I'd use. No wonder the guys are curious, I'd be too. Course, I'd go anyway, I have no respect for authority. But I loved Leo's "It's tough being the leader" line. LOL! Ironic, most times so far he's just gone along with the others, with the exception being in battle.
Okay, so the Foot and the Turtles start their fight on the ship. Great moves. Raph climbs up the ropes, and Foot soldier slashes and...

I thought Raph's blades were pretty cool. especially when he did that flip over the foot soldiers. I like how they incorporated the extreme vehicles without making it all "Rocket-Powery". Like, the turtles weren't yelling a whole bunch of slang words and such. It was actually pretty cool.
I loved that scene, it was my favorite part! The bit with Splinter dodging them reminds me a scene they once did in the old cartoon where the turtles were rough housing while he was trying to have a snack in the living room, but he wasn't so lucky then.

So I guess I'm the only one who thought that Don geting the glove on seemed strange, he went from having 2 rather large fingers to 4 small ones, and I'm the only one who thinks this is a bit odd?
I thought the Utrom and the sword was a nice touch, though a bit showy, and I can see the body they pulled out maybe looking sorta like Krangs body when its cleaned up.
Didn't like the xtreme sports moments, though I did like Raph and Mike but Leos was way out of place, and dons could have been used better.

Much better!!!!!
This one was alot better than Nano, and I diside to skip that Nano episode and watch the New instead. Here are some ratings of the 6 episodes so far:
5-EXCELLENT Must see episode 4-Very Good 3-Needs better stuff 2-Who wrote that?!? 1-Bad one 0-Worst episode ever!
Things Change:4 1/2
Attack of the Mousers:4 1/2
Attack of the Mousers Part 2:5
Meet Casey Jones:5
Nano:3 1/2
Darkness at the Edge of Town:5
So in this one is the first apprence of the Turtle's Extreme Vechiles. And what makes this one a 5 score is it had the Foot Clan, They were last seen in "Things Change". Ouka Saki is just 1 step forward to become Shredder. That Shock Wave Sword has alot of secrets to other artifacts. One of those Techno Guys with the weird goggles did appear in "Attack of the Mousers 2". I think Saki got a bet angry over them. I thought it was funny when Hun grab the two techno guys for some consiversy. The Seaweed body has some conection to Shredder's Suit. And there will be more when Saki faces THE SUIT! I'll wait for episode 7: "The Way of Invisibility".

Now this was much better! Still not an all time great but a hell of a lot of fun. I just think that Saki looks well too skinny. Does anyone else think he looks a bit like Hamato Yoshi from the original TMNT series? The next episode looks truely awesome. Why does saturday only come once a week? Well I've had my turtle fix and now I'm off to enjoy my spring break.
He didn't really look like Hamato yoshi. When they show an origin of Splinter as a pet rat they'll show what Hamato Yoshi looks like.
The only thing Saki didn't have was a scar.

Yeah, but I actually liked that whole thing with Splinter, Shredder and the ear in the movie. It gave Shredder more of a reason to have a personal vendetta against Splinter in paticular like in the old toon. One of the problems I think in the comics is that Shredder does not really have any reason to hate Splinter except that he was Yoshi's pet
Karpo_007

It's not a problem, Since thats how it originally was. Saki probably doesn't even know who Splinter is. It's Splinter who has the vendetta.

its no doubt the sword belongs to the Utroms...if you watch when splinters putting it up..and the sword sparkles....there is a Utrom on the Handle...
also...I im sure it was shredders suit that they pulled out of the ocean...and the suit he had was just a hologram. Why else would he talk about the sword as finding artifacts right infront of the holographic suit?..its the only reason.....only thing shredder has so far is the blades on his hand.
and lastly...the more i watch the "extreme crap"..i cant stand it ha..kid show or not..it makes them look and sound so gay.

I love the villians in this series. Although it is different from Mirage I like the idea of The Foot being in allegiance with Baxter Stockman and the Purple Dragons. Shredder's empire seems very well run and organized. But Karpo's right Shredder's not going to have any help left for season 2 if he keeps killing/mutilating them  .
This armor thing is really fascinating me. I can't wait to find out the connection between The Foot and (presumably) the Utroms. I think we may get our answers in the storyarc "Notes From the Undergroud". But I'm not sure.

Time for my take on the episode! Let's go trhough the list:
'Extreme Turtles': I actually found this pretty cool. I agree with some of the others who said that this is the 'Teenage' part of the TMNT. Don's collapsable bike was neat too. Wouldn't hafta worry about them getting stolen at school, just stick it in your locker! :) Took me a minute to like Raph's 'blades though. They seemed a little odd shaped.....but then his feet aren't like a person's, are they? Mikey's joke on teamwork was classic too. ^_^
The Sword and Armour/Body: I LOVED the design of the sword of Tenga (sp?)! It was so cool, and I saw a little Utrom in the handle too. I'm pretty sure I saw it's eyes glow for a second... :o Creepy. And I do think what they pulled out of the river was an Utrom body/transport thingy, but haven't seen the comic ones, just from the old cartoon. That was a neat design too, and notice they never showed the front? That was to hide the stomach cavity, IMO.
The Tempers: Splinter was in a Baaaaaad mood this ep. O_O Of course, I can't blame him. Seeing the foot symbol again after so long would get anyone a little out of it. And of course, Saki was his usual badass self. :D
Can't wait for him to take on the turtles....I think it'd be cool to see Hun and Saki go at it in a sparring session. That would SO rock. See of Saki can flip Mr. Brick Wall on his back....
The Fights: Los of action in this one, thanks to the Foot. ^_^ My fave moments during the fights were when Raph was hung upside down and Leo cuts the chain that's holding him, and the crash at the end of the Museum battle.
It seems that this was another episode dedicated to Donny, what with all his gadgets and such. Can't wait for the next episode, Raph and Casey's back in the light!!!! :D *Walks away, thinking of a fanart of Blades and Raph rollerblading together* :goofygri:

No, Utroms robot bodies were introduced in the comics in issue #3. The old cartoon didn't have utroms at all. Krang's android body was based on Utrom's body.
I think that's what he was saying.. that he was basing it on krang's body, being that he knew it was based on the utroms.

Episode Thirteen: "Notes from the Underground" Part 1
The TMNT's security cameras capture images of a strange, hulking intruder. The Turtles head deep into the sewers to investigate the creature and discover an abandoned laboratory. Before the Green Team can investigate further, they're surrounded by giant creatures, moving in for attack!
Episode Fourteen: "Notes from the Underground" Part 2
Before a battle erupts, the Turtles discover that the creatures are intelligent and friendly. The beasts explain their origin to the Turtles, which involves the Foot Clan and a mysterious alien race.
Could that mysterious alien race be the Utroms? I think we can safely say s

I think the Turtles playing with extreme sports equipment at the beginning was cool, but using them in battle was not.(stop putting down scooters BTW SCOOTERS ROCK!)
This episode was great and I can't think of better theories about the unanswered questions then have already been said.(though it'd be kinda cool if we were all wrong  )
It looks like we have a more realistic Shredder this time around. The old one wore his armor 24/7 (how uncomfortable) , but this one we've seen both with and without his kimono and havn't even seen him in full battle armor yet.
BTW the foot and Utroms do know of each other in the comics. Remember when the Foot teamed up with the Turtles to build a transmat for Leatherhead. The Foot had to know the backround story to know what was going on.

Yes I feel the same way. They took the great aspects of the Mirage continuity and they are weaving their own story. I also like that there is more interaction between the Turtles allies and enemies. As opposed to their being just the Foot, just the Utroms, or just Baxter Stockman. I think it's quite cool that they are interconnected. And this Utrom/Shredder thing has me very intrigued. Having Shredder involved in all of these storylines helps to further establish him as the true and main villian.

Ultroms were in the episode????
PanMan
03-16-2003, 02:16 PM
the only utrom in the episode was a little carving of one on the handle of the sword of tengu (you can see it best after splinter sets it down at the end of the ep). other than that only references were made to them (the body found in the river was prob. one of their exoskeletons), and shredder kept on saying stuff about old enemies . . .
so their was evidence of utroms but i bet the people not reading this forum would be completely clueless to this. it's not like they had a pic of a utrom and said "hey look! it's a utrom!" or anything.

It certainly does make for a nice change of pace, plus we can't know what will happen just by reading the comics. But Shredder said that the sword could detect other objects of its same origin... and held it up to his armor, and it started glowing. So, is Shredder's armor from the Utroms?
Karpo_007
03-16-2003, 03:49 PM
Yeah, it might be made of some alien alloys...
Eye of Sarnath
03-16-2003, 04:00 PM
I thought of that... another good question is, why would Shredder be enemies with the Utroms? The mystery just keeps gettin' bigger...
Karpo_007
03-16-2003, 04:01 PM
Yeah... And since the sword was from 14th century[I think] Utroms have been on Earth for quite some time. So many questions...

03-16-2003, 04:03 PM
So much time until next weeks episode...
We know the Utroms created the ooze that mutated the TMNT and Splinter, but what else could they have done? They'll prolly be friendly to the TMNT, cos not only were they in the comics, they're both enemies of Shredder.

You are correct, there is no Krang. But the alien species that Krang was based off of, "The Utroms" are part of the new series. :)

im excited to see how they are going to show the utroms. I wonder how different they might look from krang or other utroms form the comic. I didnt catch that the sword had picture of a utrom i'll look for that. Im also couriuse how shredder knows the utroms and why they are enemys. Did they build the elevator in the turtles lair. There will be countless references to various older versions (cartoon, mirage comic, movie, archie comic, etc.) because we're the "third prong"
Let me clarify that, the TMNT was successful in the 1980's/early'90s because of a two prong approach. There was a dark edgy underground comic for serious adult fans, and a funny, colorful, mainstream TV cartoon for the kids.(BTW I've always loved both, ever since I got the comics from my local newstand, and my friends got me into the show. But most of us were either one or the other, hence all the ridiculous arguing :P ). That's two different age groups! Both vital to it's success! Also there were the Archie comics and the Movie with elements of both.
In order for the ressurected TMNT to succeed they must now use a Three pronged approach:
1. Serious adult comic fans (Mirage vol. 4)
2. Kids looking for cool cartoons (New TMNT Tv series)
3. Veterans of the original turtlemania, That's Us!!
So, there will of course there will be nostalgia elements in both the comic and the show because were the third vital group. :D
Anyone agree?

Hmmm, just got back in tonight and watched the episode (thank god 4 VCR's!!!) I will have to check the handle of the sword when I convert it to VCD. But has anyone else thought it was weird that right after the foot clan digs this supposed Utrom exo-skeloton out of the river (what it is doing there only the writers know) we suddenly see Baxter revealing Tech foot ninjas? I wonder if some of that T.C.R.I. technology could have been reverse engineered to make them? And one more thing, as a space traveling race perhaps the Utroms could have visited Earth before the 20-21st century, maybe they visited in the 11th century or earlier... or maybe they are studying the human race ever so often and return from time to time. The only connection between Saki and the Utroms I could see is if they share the same city, maybe some of Saki's underworld activities have been suffering from their presence or something like that. We will have to wait and see!!!

WARNING: I plan to be negative here.
I did not like this episode. The first ten minutes involved campiness which completely eroded the darker tone the new TMNT has been setting. Watching the Turtles yell "Green Extreme" had me cringing. Watching the Foot Soldiers, who in the first episode owned the Turtles, be whipped like government mules was unacceptable. I find it hard to believe that the inclusion of "extreme" modes of transportation, like a scooter, allowed the Turtles to become some cohesive fighting unit whereas the Turtles could not beat the Foot and had much difficultly dealing with the mousers, and nano.
As an added question, how do the Turtles obtain all their possesions? I do not see a source of employment.
The last ten minutes, however, were good and almost eradicated the stigma I developed from the Green Extreme Team.
Saki is the man, btw.

Did i misunderstand or shred put off some clothes? :P And who are thos utroms? Aliens?
If you say that Shredder punishes everyone who fails(how did he do it i wonder), then doesn't he remind you Darth Vader from the Star Wars? Remember how he smothered a military man and then said:"Apolgy accepted"
Do turtles cry Turtle Power now?
And i also think that Shredder makes the show brighter and better than any other enemies. what's your opinion. Hope someone answers some of my questions

I hope not. :)
Did i misunderstand or shred put off some clothes?
He took off his shirt/jacket. We got to see some bare chest and arms... :D Now, if he'd only lose those baggy pants... :o
And who are thos utroms? Aliens?
Aliens from a benevolent (friendly) race that look like brains.(Krang's design was based on them, though he was not an Utrom.)
If you say that Shredder punishes everyone who fails(how did he do it i wonder), then doesn't he remind you Darth Vader from the Star Wars? Remember how he smothered a military man and then said:"Apolgy accepted"
Well, based upon the preview they showed, it looks like he might have had one of Baxter's eyes removed. Ouch. And yes, it looked like he was letting the two Tech guys get away with an apology, but then Hun grabbed them.
Do turtles cry Turtle Power now?
So far, no. Though they have been yelling similar things.
Mmmmmm...Shredder makes me happy. :)

Thanks a lot Skeletoncrew member. This was a clear and cool answer. Thanks. wow. i bet he looked sexy :o But he won't lose those pants. It's for kids, remember. a friend of mine used to talk to real Kevin Eastman and his wife. I told Darin that i would love to see Shred without jacket at least. lol. May be i'm a telepathic girl:-)
It was long ago though.
What about hun? Do you like him? Episodes look brighter with Shredder. He is full remember of the cartoon. He is as cool as the turtles. But it seems to me turtles have no corneas, right? white eyes through the bands :goofygri:
I also hope that shredder will be not killed or else the show will be doomed. It's a Saturday show so may be they won't defeat Saki. I always adored Saki. Just wanted to know what do you like in him people. He is handsome i guess but he is mean and evil and despite this he is loved by many fans
what do you know? My exboyfriend looked like like the shred. Can you believe it? He was an eastern man and had swarthy skin, huzzle eyes, he was tall, had muscles and he was mean. lol If he were not he would not leave me. We were going to marry. Never mind :dead:

Well Shredder's armor is definitly not a hologram, because the sword was vibratin when it was in front of it. My theory? Saki and the Utroms originally worked together. That would explain why Saki is so wealthy... the technological advacements. Like the funding of Baxter Stockman's lab and etc. The Utroms probably found out that Saki was evil... tricked him and left. I don't think the sword vibrated because of the inner ki as well, since a machine was able to use it. To answer some other questions... Don was able to use the computer and tv because the blackout happened the night before. And yeah, the "extreme" fight scene wasn't as bad as you guys made it out to be. Pretty credible if you ask me. My question? If the Utroms were so smart, why would there be an abandoned body in the ocean?

But 2 or 3 years ago i managed to watch another type of Ghost Busters... :-? It shocked me because one of the guys was in the wheelchair :-? So, are there two different types of the cartoon? I'm just curious. I used to adore it so much(though turtles have always been beyond comparison
i meant that shredder looks like samurai jack, not that he acts like him
i only faintly remember the ghostbusters cartoon from back then, but i do have their action figures so that's why they're so fresh in my mind :)

Wow....
heh, I saw this ep too... :D VERY good, i think...
I liked the sports stuff, although i would put Leo on a better item....
(segway? :P J/K!!!)
Heh, I loved the beginning bit with Splinter dodging them. I SO wanted to see him catch Mike off-guard and toss him onto the couch when he tried to take his food.
I must say, seeing Splinter that shaken up about the footsymbol doesnt surprise me. I mean, his beloved Master was SLAIN in cold blood...And while i was a bit surprised by his harshness when Leo spoke to him.....He had to be stern, I think, so he wouldnt let his 'weakness' show. He taught the boys Bushido, but he doesnt want them to get seriously hurt or even killed, just because they went out before Splinter planned something. If i were him, I wouldnt have let the boys step foot out of the lair before i could figure things out for myself...
Shredder....WOW :o :D He is So cool! :D (yeh, i know, i didnt say much about the others... :P )[/i]

Yeah, seems like Saki is the real deal this time. Turtle boys are going to have hard time with him...

I don't believe Saki and Utroms worked together, he jus spoke of old enemies. Hi wealth is easily explained by Criminal activity, and The foot is not a poor organisation either.
Well they could have been partners, *then* turn his back on them or otherwise... causing a feud. And I don't think his wealth coming out of criminal activity like robbing banks grant them amnesty from the city to build such a majestic building... Saki is no idiot, he's gonna want some legal way of getting that cash so the government doesn't crack down on him and his organization.

Yeah, it's probably listed as New York office of a Japanese "company". I highly doubt that Saki has been allied with utroms, but you never know.

But you have to amdit Karpo, it could be that Saki was aligned with them, seeing as how his armor is apparently made by them

Even if it was listed as a Japanese company, they would still have to get the rights to build or rent in the city. And if they have no legit method of getting that money then the government would get highly suspicious.

Thats true. It also would be cool to find out about the two if they were friends and what happened

I think Saki could his own company, possibly in electronics. When he got the sword of Tengu he said to take it down to the Tech Division.. Not hand it off to Stocktronics.
Anyone else disturbed by the fact that the Turtles, the foot, even Splinter all had to handle the sword with the glove thing and Saki is completely unfazed? This Saki scares me.
Lol! I hadn't even noticed that. Maybe the Turtles will have a hard time with Saki! I like how the show leaves us with questions, like this whole Utrom matter. I wonder then, if Shredder is linked with the Utroms, did he have a part in the creations of TGRI?
CookSux

I'm sure we're the only ones with such deep questions. People who just got into the fandom via this show probably doesn't really have that back knowledge to ask these kinds of questions.

Or maybe Saki (During the Alliance with Utroms) Put down the money and Put TCRI under his name.. or something to that effect *sweatdrop

Now we know that Saki's armor is utrom-made, so do you guys think it will have some kind of superpowers, like the sword of tengu has? I hope it won't, because I want to see Shredder fighting the turtles with his ninja skills. Nevertheless I think that the armor will have some special abilities.

:o I don't know if it is a spoiler. I read the interview of Peter Laird. He said someone significant would die. :o I thought my heart would stop when i was reading it. But do you guys remember a very old interview(i don't remember with whom). The new show was not created yet. Somebody was asking about the Shredder that the bew toy looked like a robot and etc. And the man said that Shred was a human and he also said:"No death as far as i know" I remember his words very well. so may be Peter just wanted to make us more excited. In Tomb Raider(the PC game) her producer also said that Lara died and there wouldn't be a new game episode with her. But a bit later a new game appeared:Angel of Darkness. Starring: Lara Croft. :goofygri:
Well, i guess i will die before the show comes here. WILL IT EVER COME?

Besides the new comic happnes about 15 years later.
I stil doubt any allience, The foot could have just build the armor with foreing alloys taken from Utroms' machines etc. And the money is not an issue, Many japanese companies have offices in New York. And if Mr. Oroku pays his taxes, no one will be intrested. ;)

Such things as taxes and Oroku Saki aren't compatible with each other. He's so greedy and evil and he drives me crazy :goofygri:

I don't think the armor was necessarily made by the Utroms, but I think it could very well be made from Utrom materials. Alien materials fall into human hands, humans make what they know how to make using it. Such as the Sword of Tengu.
As for the other discussion, I'm sure Saki has a legitimate front for his organization. He wouldn't be able to live so openly if he didn't. Of course, he's probably bribing plenty of officials too.

Yes, his legal front is the selling of technological advancements, and etc... come on guys... Saki is a ninja, he isn't a scientist, engineer, or whatever. He sure is a smart one tho.

You know, you people are assuming that it is indeed the Utroms. It most certainly appears that way, but just because it looks that ways doesn't mean it is.
Also... I did see that Saki didn't need to wear the glove when handling the sword... maybe because the sword is his?
And while we're talking about the glove, it annoys me that Don, who only has three fingers, can wear a glove intended for someone with five fingers.

Disturbed? No... intriqued, yes. I think either Saki somehow knew how to use it, thus didn't need the glove.
Whereas, the others guessed that the sword could also absorb the chi energy from the bare handed holder to activate the shock wave ability. I could imagine in the hands of the inexperinced, it would sent unexpected shockwaves at people and things, making a mess of the place!
And... I still think Saki had dealings with the Utroms at one point in time. We'll just have to seeee.... :D

Maybe he just stuck his two fingers into two of the four finger-holes? :tsmile:
Maybe the glove was "One size fits all!"

:o what's so special about this sword that Saki was holding? Well, you are all a bit suprised that Saki doesn't need to hide himself from the goverment and police. He had to do it in the old cartoon. Actually he used to be a poor guy. He didn't have anything except his robots, armor and grumbling Krang( i liked Krang). I'm very glad he is a rich man now. It is very nice to realize that Saki's behaviour causes some perplexity. There are a lot of such "Sakis" in Russia. Everybody knows they are criminals but even policemen are afraid of them. It upsets me. It's our life's style. Criminals rule our life, our goverment. So i'm not surprised that Saki could manage to establish his gang in everyone's sight

Yeah I have heard a lot of stories about russian Mafia...
CookSux
03-20-2003, 02:02 AM
But this is America, Russia itself is run by the military. As long as the military gets what it needs, they leave the Russian Mafia alone considering they pay their dues. This isn't Cuba or any other nation. Thus places like Enron go down the tubes for not having a legit business. I still can't believe Arthur Anderson represented them and a few other bankrupt companies.
