Uhm...if you're askink should they crossover Image into the new series, then definitely not. The 'toon should stay Mirage-based, and not stray way from that.

Well seeing as how the Image continuity has been entirely dismissed, and Erik Larsen has bad mouthed the Mirage crew in recent interviews, it will NEVER happen.

Image is dead and gone. It was also NEVER a kid's comic. There's no way it would ever cross over with the current cartoon. Besides, Image only had a few good points:

Raph drank beer and got into a barfight.
Mike made it to 3rd base with a chick.
Splinter took a bath with two busty naked women, and practiced a little bondage with Oroku Pimiko. He was also drawn rather well.

None of these things would make it into a Saturday morning line-up.

Really? I've never read the Image comics. Is it just me, or does this sound like good, clean, family fun?

well. I don't think the Image plot line should intertwine with the Mirage based FoxBox plot line.

But if it's cyborgs you want, they do still have plenty of those in this new cartoon. And they just leave the torturous acts up to Saki and his failed flunkies, rather than having the turtles mutilated. :P

A get a mutilated Baxter instead. Yay. Better than the TMNT.

Not to mention Don's dominating fetish with machines coming out in full swing... and the effect that had on Leo.

Yes...these comics are anything beyond PG-13 rated. :goofygri:

A proper spelling. Dose is another word altogether and wouldn't make sence in the topic starters sentences.

Erik Larsen has bad mouthed the Mirage crew in recent interviews. what did he say?

He said that we was "pissed" because Mirage didn't use their continuity. I don't have a link to the interview, but someone from here posted it.

Yeah, well it was a crappy continuity. I'm glad they didn't use it. I like my TMNT more or less intact.

He should be glad they even acknowledge that it existed. I mean, I understand why he's mad, but the thing coulda gone much worse...

I can understand why he would be angry at them for tossing out his storylines, but he really should've seen it coming the way he practically mutilated the turtles' images.

The only cool thing that Image did, in my opinion was make Raphael the new Shredder. That was cool. But, it wouldn't fit in the new show. Also Erik Larson should have realized they're not his turtles, they belong to Eastman and Laird (well legally just Laird now). They were just lending them to him. They had a right not to use his continuity if they didn't want to. :P

Noone cares or even wants to remember the Image series in the context of it being 'canon'...no, it wasnt an attrocity like most 90's TMNT things(with the exception of the first TMNT film, the 90's were pure crap for the TMNT...be it the two sequels, Xmas special TNM, the baby toddlerfying of TMNT in the early 90's, etc etc)

The Image series did what the Mirage series was afraid to do... they put the turtles in life altering extremley violent situations that affected their future indefinetly. I loved Volume one but when it got to the point were they started fighting giant leeches, poser cop superheros, Loke from the hall of legends, statue pig stealers, alter dimensional car jackers... it just got a little repitetive.

So I think itd be great for a mini cartoon series to cross over with Image, but if you want a simpson-esque series where everything remains the same each ep, like the old ones, then by all means focus on mirage.

Please relize I mean no offense to Mirage fans, I have almsot all the issues myself, I love em' I just hate people bad mouthing Image.

Yes Mirage was like that for a time but it was still good. Issue 50-62 is where Eastman and Laird got back, and is probably the best TMNT story arc ever created.

Many people don't like Image becaus of what it did to the TMNT. And I don't know one person who would wan't volume 4 to be continuing the Image volume[Im sure few those excist tough].

I have most of the Image series, and it wasn't so much that they disfigured the Turtles, it's that the Turtles didn't even seem to notice! I'd figure Raph could shake off getting half his face burnt off, but when Donnie "died", did the other even shed a tear? Sorry, I'm all for action and stuff, loved Raph becoming Shredder (very fitting since he unwittingly created the clan in the first place) but the Image series just seemed so cold.

No way. What they did to Don... unforgivable. Raph was okay though, cos' in the Archies he did have an eyepatch.

Oh yeah... and when Don 'died' didn't Mike cry?

I think maybe he did, I don't have the early issues. But they all seemed to get over it really fast. I mean, he was their brother. I haven't read my Image comics in awhile, but I do remember that I didn't get drawn into the stories the same way I did with Mirage. The characters seemed so distance, so two dimensional.

Beaker please don't constantly bash the old show. You don't like it fine, but saying the 90s for TMNT was pure crap is wrong. The 90s was an amazing decade for me. I Got to see the best cartoon show ever, tons of toys and the awesome movies. So just stop bashing everything you hate about the TMNT i'm getting really sick of it.

Post of the random Image fan: I think it would be cool to end the series with (a lighter version of) Image.

Also, the best TMNT story ever written, "City at War" was done in 93. So saying that all TMNT from that decade is crap is wrong.
