Hi fellow TMNT fans.
I've tried searching the forum, but I couldn't find any threads that talk about this website I found the other day.

http://www.turtlesthemovie.com/index.php

As far as I know some writers have written a script for a tmnt movie. They where inspired by the batman begins movie, and then started writing a new origins script comprised of the source material, and their own view.

They have the mutation scene written down on the site aswell as a very awesome raphael painting to go with it. Personally I like how they created the site, the logo is just so awesome imo. But yeah, let me know if someone brought this one up already, and if so, then sorry for creating this post.

If not then I'd like to hear what others think of this. Personally looking at the image, this would be a very fan serving movie, if it would ever see the light of day.

Well, I'm new here too, and I for one, have never seen that site. I agree, it seems like the people behind it have really put thought and effort into it. Surely some of them creators are on these boards too?

Yeah, love the title design, it does have a mature look about it, though I'm not so sure about dropping the 'Teenage Mutant'. The portrait is badass (and bloody) and has the old comics feel to it, too. Never liked the way the Turtles were CG'd in the 2007 movie (their heads looked like hamburgers). I'd prefer the CG to resemble something like in this portrait, realistic, dirty and gruffy and.. just badass.

The writing seems solid too, (with the little we have to base on) and not the usual fanfiction stuff. Just reading the character backgrounds and the mutations scene conjures up images in my mind: they really do work, these scenes!

I'm sure more forumers here will be able to throw light on what this project is, and what the creators are doing with it, like perhaps pitching the script to Mirage or whatever. Thanks for posting it for noobs like me, this is hot! 8)

hate to be the bearer of bad news but if im not mistaken this was a work in progress (really only a development stage) envisioned by a fellow technodromer some time ago.. he/she was/is going to attempt making a reboot of there own but the site hasnt been updated in a while and i havent heard word of it.. its far too early for the actual new reboot to have anything of that nature surface i would imagine.

ahh, no probs mate. Yeah I read somewhere that they are going to propose this script hoping to be taken seriously by mirage.

I just hope the new movie is going to be more to the source. I mean even before batman begins the 90's one was way more dark then the 90's tmnt movie. I just find no excuse to go for the childrens franchise all the time.

Well, I'm not getting my hopes up, anyway.

That painting was posted here awhile back. It was way to intense to be used as a film promotion.

I agree man, hopefully they'll treat it with the respect/seriousness it deserves... I grew up on the cartoon & its a pleasent thought to think that now that I'm alot older the turtles could act as such too.. i mean hey the turtles and i grew up together lmao

Because that's the way it works...

Hey guys, it's Luke, from turtlesthemovie.com, couldn't help but notice this thread.

We are still very serious about this project! We are not expecting anything to come of it, but regardless of the outcome we are putting our whole hearts into this thing! We feel the project deserves that kind of attention. We spent 4 years developing our vision, but the hardest part of the project didn't start until we had completed our vision in 2008, which has been getting people to believe in what we have done and take us seriously, much less get the attention of the studios.

It's been an incredibly difficult project to say the least, but very rewarding in it's own way. The support of the fan community has been our only source of real encouragement along the way. We always love to hear your thoughts about what we have done, and just talk Ninja Turtles in general.

While we are waiting for everyone to decide if we are worthy of this project, we will continue to work diligently to ensure a TMNT movie is finally made in a way that we can all be proud of.

so is this some elaborate fan movie?

No, it is not an elaborate fan movie, this is an elaborate way for a bunch of unsolicited nobodies like us to get the attention of the studio. We would never make this movie on our own time and with our own money because we believe it would do the movie an injustice. This movie MUST be made by the studio. However, we want Paramount to use our vision. That is why we created the website and have been working so hard since 2005 on this project.
