If your internet went out, what would you do?
I had my internet out all this weekend until sunday afternoon, and you know what, I'm sorta glad I didn't have it. It made me go out and do stuff, I ended up going outside, driving my car around, watching cartoon network on a saturday night.
It feels good :goofygri:

That's happened to me a few times with AOL. Since I dont have a life I sit and stare at my wall for a weekend.

I don't really care if it goes out, that is, unless I have something on ebay; then I get pissed off at it and throw the mouse against the wall.

First I'd throw around the keyboard and the mouse for awhile until all the windows in the house were broken.

Next I'd take a baseball bat and demolish everything else in the house. I'm talking SPARE NOTHING.

After that I'd take my razor and shave all of the mammal pets we have. If that includes taking a few layers of their skin while doing it, so be it.

I'd then take that razor and kill all the reptiles we have in the house and roast the vicera on an open flame.

After all of that chaos, I'd steal all the spare money in my mom's safe and bank account and use it to pay for a nonstop plane ticket to Redmond, WA (for the clueless, the HQ of Microsoft).

With the remaining money, I'd swipe some bombs off the merchant in the alley.

I'd then hoof it over to Microsoft HQ.

When I find Bill Gates' office, I'll walk in, say, "Mr. Gates...", show him the bombs strapped to my body, and then detonate.

Then I'll wake up from that nightmare....

Go to McDonalds and steal 6005 McNuggets at once.
Tell a bum that the counstrution has free cups of sugar.
Fill cream corn in some bozo's Tralier
Steal someone's Car Stero
Mack 50 glasses of Ice Tea
put a sign saying please park on my lawn in a landlowner's area
Tease your neighbor's Guinea Pig

Come to think of it, I would go back to my old hobby: recreating battles of the Civil War using chimpanzees.

First, I'd break down and cry.

Second, I'd start yelling a few choice words at the monitor.

Third, I cry again.

Fourth, I go off and draw. =D

LOL, yeah I've also got AOL and it used to flake outn on me back when I had version 4.0 on my old computer. So far 7.0 has been doing okay, but I still have my worries about it going out on me.

Depends. We had several blackouts over the winter in which I had not only no internet, but no computer at all. But truthfully, I was going batty after just a few hours. I usually don't go more tha a day without my "fix".

But I share this comp with five other people, so there are lots of times I don't get on. I usually just go watch TV or write or draw. Thought I'm going to be bored out of my mind the next few days, in which I will be taking a break from home to visit the hospital.

But if they say I have to stay off the comp after return home, I'm gonna kill someone.

I think this thread is proof that people (myself included, don't get me wrong) spend entirely way too much time on the internet.

Some that know me know that my internet was cut off in early November and it didn't get turned back on until a little over a month ago. I was a little mad, what with being unable to check my mail, talk to certain people, stuff like that. After a couple days though it pretty much became "oh well". I went out, read, drew, played video games, pretty much everything that I normally do, just more of it.

I think it actually was a good thing. It helped convince me that the internet doesn't run my life. I still spend too much time online, though, but it isn't a big deal if I can't get on. ((shrug))

I went for quite awhile with any comp at all when my old one busted. I wouldn't really care if the internet completely dropped off the earth and no one could ever use it again.
