Hello, people. After playing Smash-Up and actually enjoying it (blasphemy!) I dug up my Casey Jones figure from the TMNT movie and decided to make it look closer to the movie and game look. So after applying a little acrylic paint, I ended up with a more accurate version. Below is a comparison pic:

I never liked the TMNT April Figure. Aside from not being accurate to her movie look, it looked like a character from Spumko, with her enormous eyes and lips. So when I decided to give Casey a new look, I decided to accept the challenge of making a nice looking figure out of April. So I went out a bought her (yes, she was still there, warming the peg almost three years later)
I sanded down her eyebrows and lips, a repainted her. The result can be seen below:

Bossa nova!
I especially like April. That looks like it would be hard to do.

Thanks, man. I'm proud of both, but yeah, April was specially hard. I mean, I was about to loose it when painting the eyes. Madness!

Yeah, that's the part I was focusing on when I was thinking how hard it would be. I'm certain I couldn't do the same. Shell, I can't even paint a decent Foot logo to save my life!

If it's for a custom, it could be easier to print, cut and paste a foot logo.

Nice work, your April's head is definitely an improvement. Personally, I like the cleaner look of the production model Casey, but your grittier looking version is good too.

Im lovin both of them, especially the Casey Jones. That black mask makes him look meaner.
Nice customs! Both Casey and April are great!
Those are great! Casey is an excellent match for the movie/game appearances, and April... ah, April. I don't think there's anything that'll make me like that figure, but you've probably made it look as good as humanly possible. :)

I know what you mean. I tought the default Casey looked nice, as it was kind of a mixture of the best elements of the movie look. The armored body and the traditional white mask. I actually was debating coloring the mask, but did it anyway.

Recipe: original Shredder figure, unknown wrestling figure. For the claws of the hands I used cardboard and a bit of ceramic. The belt is made of faux leather. It was light gray so I had to paint it black (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BhHTA6Gzn0).
Thanks for looking.

I'd like to take this opportunity, if there's a mod reading, to ask for a change in the thread title. Like "Nelson's customs" or something more original...
BTW this smilie is great -> :tconfuse:

I repainted the TMNT Classics figures just after taking them out of the package. I didn't have the correct colors but I just couldn't wait. Those black belt buckles were annoying me.
I cut Leo and Don's shoulder straps, and repainted the eyes and belt buckles.

Wes, I'm terrible too, the secret is to get Gundam Markers! Or just permanent markers. It's impossible to paint eyes with brushes. IMPOSSIBLE!
Actually, I've been wondering about Gundam markers! Where does one acquire these magical tools?

Just follow the nerds! I bought them in a Manga/Anime shop around here, but any store that has role playing nerds should carry them.
And thank you, TMNT_Canadian!

I repainted Nick Casey around a year and a half ago but I didn't get to take pictures UNTIL NOW ("now" meaning like two months ago)

I did a quick repaint today: Out of the Shadows Shredder. I kept it simple so it doesn't clash too much with the other movie figures
