I know that there is a TMNT DVD in the works, but is this the original cartoon, or the new one? I've seen evidence pointing to both. I figure you guys'll know.

Yes, there will definetly be a DVD of the new cartoon, And Artisan has said that it will release a DVD of the old cartoon this year. But no further info has been given, they could still cancle it.

They have no reason to cancel it. The new TMNT is doing very well so I think they would have to be pretty stupid to cancel it.

DK, there are no guarantees. Even though I have confidence that there will be another season of the new episodes, the ratings have dropped off during the past few weeks. "Nano" got a 1.5 (that's 1.0 point lower than Episode 4). Lower ratings means a short-lived TV series. Friday, we'll see how ep. 6 did.

Actually, they have already started to plan season 2, So it might not need be the most popular show on the fox box every week.

It was in the interview, wasn't it? I read that part, and I think that's great news.

Yeah. The show would need to do realy bad, for get canceled after the first season. Only Nano has gotten relatively bad ratings, we shouldn't be worried about just one episode.

I really liked "Nano" (like all episodes so far). I can't understand why its ratings were that bad.

I thought Nano was a good episode, I don't understand it's ratings either... I watched that one two or three times now, and thought it was a pretty good episode... it was no Meet casey jones, but still good

I gotta question are the ratings more for the fans who watch it and not the kids? Bercause kids don't about show to watch and what show not to watch. When i was a kid i didn't know bout the episodes coming up i just watched every week.
So i think the ratings are more the fans like us tuining in.

Well it usually gets over 2, hopefuly they will get better for next episode. Most of the watchers must be kids... No way there are that many old TMNT fans watching the show...

I Hope Not. I'd Rather have TMNT rejuvinated by the kids.

Personally, I think ratings are overrated.
Krang: "You didn't get the building?"
Shredder: "You didn't get the Turtles?"
Bebop: "We got something even better!"
Rocksteady: "We got great ratings!"

Well if it gets good ratings it doesn't hurt. But if not, they might produce second season anyway. We just have to wait and see.

Ok, we've all been over the possibilities of why Nano was below par in ratings. Most likely, it was because of the Justice League crossover with Future Shock. But since none of us watch it because we watch TMNT, we don't know, do we? Nano was a good episode, and should give people a warm feeling deep in their bowels... Well, that or mexican food. And it gave a nice touchey feeley message saying that bad parents could lead good kids to do bad things. And then April and Casey bonding at the end of the episode gave something to the comic and movie fans. Also, the fact that Casey doesn't sound like Clint Eastwood is a good thing... Now then, what I want is a copy of TMNT III with directer's and writer's commentary going "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. OH GOD AM I SORRY!!" I also want written proof that Vanilla Ice was the reason why the second and subsequently the third film failed...

You can't blame just vanilla ice... Add bad writing, kiddified action, missing weapons, and most importantly: Super Shredder and you will be getting close why the second movie failed.

Leave SuperShredder out of it! Anything Kevin Nash touches turns to gold! GOLD I say!!!
Well, except nWo Wolfpac, but we'll let that one slide.

You didn't know that? I always assumed it was common knowledge by now.
But yeah, check the credits. I remember finding out in an old issue of WWF Magazine. They had this trivia question "What WWF SuperStar played the role of SuperShredder in the children's film 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze'?" And the answer was Diesel, aka Kevin Nash.
I think it came about because Turner's New Line Cinema was making the movie and wanted someone big for the role, and Nash was wrestling as Oz in Turner's WCW at the time.

Possibly... I liked 2, for the simple fact that Shredder seemed to know that he didn't belong there, thus making him MUCH more pissed off. Notice that he seemed to yell a LOT more. He also taunted the turtles a lot too. III is fun for me, because I liked it somewhat and can stand it long enough to watch everyone squirming and crying. *grins* I remember all of the Kenshin anime fans freaking out when they heard "Prince Kenshin, you must return to the castle!!"

I liked all 3 tmnt movies regardless of what people say. As for Nano, the reason it got lower ratings most likely is because it was rather odd. The whole thing with the nano bots having the brains of a 3 year old and it being friendly with that guy, stealing the faces from April's shop to show his emotions... it was just kind a really weird twist. It was probably the worst episode of the series so far but it still wasn't all that bad IMO.
"Nano" was tight. I seem to like "filler" episodes.
TMNT II and III were downright awesome.
Case Closed! 8)
Now then, what I want is a copy of TMNT III with directer's and writer's commentary going "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. OH GOD AM I SORRY!!"
 I enjoyed the film when i was younger. I still do but if i was only exposed it now at 19 i probably would have hated it.

Yeah As A kid I liked both second and third movie. But I have learned to apreicate good acting, writing, and story. I don't think that everything named TMNT is good anymore.

I haven't watched the second and third TMNT-movie in a long time but I can say exactly the same thing as far as the old cartoon is concerned. Watching it today I can hardly enjoy it, even if it has so much childhood memories. :(

Since I am just about the only one who still sticks up for the third film, I will just say it again. I liked the third film the best.
Sure, the acting isn't great. And maybe the plot line is a bit hokey. Perhaps the costumes aren't the best. But it's the only Turtle movie out of the three that I could watch at any time. I have to be in the right mood to watch the first and second movie, but the third one is open season.
One reason I like it is because its light-heartedness and goofy nature remind me of the cartoon, which I also adore.
And getting back to this topic . . . I hope we get some Ninja Turtle cartoon DVDs soon. I keep debating on whether or not to get those VCDs I see on eBay because I refuse to download anything. I don't have the space, nor the patience, to put up with something like that.
