I was wondering (And hopefully this is the right section to ask this) But does anyone know, or know where I can find the current value of the first printing of the first issue of TMNT?
I'd heard rumors it ranged from 300.00 up to 1000.00 at one point and now I'm just darn curious :)
(And no, I'm not selling mine, for any price! Forget about it! mwahaa.. *cough*)
The current value is $400 in Near Mint condition
ANd Damn, very cool that you have it, I hope it's in good shape
I have #3 first Printing in Mint Condition (It's a start :))

Yeah.. very lucky to get a first printing!
I have a third and a fifth print of #1 (both of which I got for almost nothing)... :goofygri:

I picked it up a few years back. 6 or 7 I think.. And don't think I didn't pay for it, though I guess I'm happy to know I've doubled my investment so far. LOL

If it makes you feel better, HT, I've found the 5th printing to be one of the hardest TMNT books to find. I'd say the 3rd printing is the most common.

Oh... that's cool to know. The fifth one is rather interesting, me thinks too. It has that comic short with "Not One Word" in the back (by Eric Tabot?) and then the page numbers are off in one section.

Nope... 5th printing is the cheapest of all. I paid 2.00$ for NM Condition... I can't belive it would have become rare in few months.

I lucked out with the 3rd printing of TMNT #1 for just $10.

I didn't say it was worth a lot (I didn't pay more than cover price for mine), just hard to find. In my experience of going to comic shows and conventions for over ten years hunting for every TMNT comic, that is one of the ones that took me forever to find in the first place and since then have only seen once or twice. People aren't going to charge a lot for it because it is the fifth printing (who would pay a lot for it?).
Another hard one to find, from my experience, is Vol. 1 #4 2nd printing. Again, not worth a lot, just takes more effort than most to track down.

Well usually rare isues are expensive. Well Those were the only ones avilable when I ordered my comics. But I have heard that some issues are hard to find now.

Where did you order them from?
