I just stumbled across Canadian indie artist Chad VanGaalen (who I actually enjoy far more for his ridiculously trippy animated videos than his music, check it out), and he apparently has a song called "TMNT Mask (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lD0u0goJS8)." It really amounts to no more than an action-figure reference to set the tone, but it's still pretty cool.
It's kind of the tone I read the Mirage comics with anyway, so I think it really fits. And the refrain is "I think I'll go sit by the river." Now, I'm sure that wasn't an intential reference, but...you know, draw your own conclusions.
