Pretty sweet looking cover, but dang I guess that's how the turtles are going to end up looking :dead: The Foot however... look sweet. I wonder what the Pat Lee varient cover looks like...

oh and here's what they say about the comic :

"They move through the alleys and across the rooftops of the city--mysterious shadow warriors unique in the history of ninjas. In this first issue of their new adventures, tying in with the brand new animated series, learn the story of two men: Officer Ronnie Callahan, a rookie cop, and his old friend, Kenzo. Friends in their youth, they've gone their separate ways: Ronnie to the NYPD, and Kenzo to the fearsome criminal organization known as the Foot. Their paths will cross this night, intersecting with enigmatic, turtle-shelled denizens of sewers and darkness whose activities will result in the death of one of the friends...and the rise of an old menace in the heart of the city. NOTE: This issue will ship with two wraparound covers in equal ratio. One cover by LeSean and one variant cover by Pat Lee."

Hay, I like how they all look too! In fact, the TMNT here sort of look like the Archie Turtles, in the face. Good bit of emotion and detail, and color. :D

Karpo who said it was a mini series? There's no mention of it in the preview and LeSean's webpage lists the ongoing series as his current work with a mini series as a future project.

Anyway, it looks good. I'll certainly check it out, hope they have the same amount of freedom that Archie had.

Just so you guys arent banging your heads against the wall trying to assume and guess and figure out whats what about this series, its a 5 issue mini. Written by Peter David. pencils by me. its directly based off of the new animated series on TV now. as well is the style, so accept it or not :lol:

The turtles look pretty good, but nothing that really impresses me. The Foot however, they look awesome. Can't wait 'til this comes out!

It must be very interesting and beautiful.

I think it's similar to Archie series?! (it's a my opinion because i have some Archies bought in USA because in Italy we don't know what are TMNT comics...)

Archie Comics started the TMNT the same way (Heroes in a half-shell mini- series). Maybe Dreamwave will actually make a "second archie series" like you said.

Plus more effort goes into designing the cover then the actual book, it's the cover that sells the book. But yeah, I'm sure we won't be disappointed. Even though we got stumpy frog things with giant shells, I'm sure it'll be choreographed pretty well.

Great job, LeSean! If the artwork inside looks as good as the cover, this will be one of the most beautiful comic-books this year.

Peter David's a good enough writers and LeSean's art looks good enough, but for some reason I just don't find myself to excited. I'll buy it for sure, though. Just 'cause it's the turtles.

Please dont take this the wrong way guys, but IMHO, from the cover alone...this is THE BEST TMNT art/design.look I have EVER seen!
(sorry 80's Mirage, youll always have a special place tho)

Heck, this blows away the look of the animated tv show TMNT designs.

Am I the only one who thinks this is by far the most astonishing and jaw dropping 'version' of the TMNT ever?

I second cooksux... I mean, it's ok... definetley better than the sketches, but they still look misproportioned. I am not going to change my stance on this just 'cause the artist vistis here, It's just an "ok" pic. the color job is what really makes it good though.

Seriously, they look like fricken hunchbacks. What the heck is up with their shells, I guess they wanted them big enough so that they can put their limbs and head in comfortably, but who the heck really wants to see that... unless it's a major part of the plot. BTW Donatello is out of proportion based on the perspective we're given. I dunno, the more I look at it, the less I like. The colors are pretty tho.

I don't know much about this "DreamWave" comic (call me out of the TMNT comic loop), but I do know I like this cover! I agree I think it's the coloring that makes it special, and I love the lighting effect on the turtles side. ^_^
The summary of the issue is interesting too. Definitely makes me wanna read it.

Here's hoping they sell this mini series back in my hometown. This may actually be the first new TMNT comic series I buy since Archie... :P

This comic is going to be like the new cartoon, but it will use different stories.

The Raphael and Shredder thing, that was in the Image comics. I thought it was a neat idea. One of the only good ideas Image had in those books.

And that's good that you like the art, because the writer is already established, meaning it'll have good art, and good writing... something most comics lack these days...

(even tho im not to hip to the art just yet)

Yay i think that's good, specially judging the cover...not that the pages themselves will look as good as the covers but still, i prefer color comics to b&w ones.
