My custom Giant sized movie star Michelangelo

Hey guys,

Thought i'd share with you guys two of my custom movie star ninja turtles that i tried making looking more like their film counterparts. I figured I would try to improve them, still could use some more attention tho. Hope you guys dig them.

Being that I don't own these, I gotta ask what did you do to em?

hi,

i just painted over the colored knee and elbow pads to brown and their belts. For Donny, i added the missing chest cross belt with a holster for his bo out of sculpey. I also repainted the bandannas and added fabric ones instead of the hard plastic ones. just tried to spruce them up. still need to repaint the eyes and shell.

Oh ok thats tight dude. I noticed the fabric bandanas after my post, that's a sick concept for the big guys.

These look really good so far :). When I seen your post about the movie prop, I noticed a Donnie below and said to myself "Is that a custom Don with brown leather like pads?" lol. I can't wait to see when they are finished :).

Splinter would be hard, considering Playmates didn't make one that he could use as a base. It seems as if he's lost interest in his own thread though.

nah im still working on mikey, just havent had time to update anything since im working on some stuff thats kept me away from this lil project. Hopefully in a month mikey should be presentable again.

something about a giant splinter freaks me out tho. lol oddly enough lol.

so i have had these almost all complete. just need to paint the eye's, get nicer weapons, and trench for Raph but here is how far i've gotten with my giant movie turtles. The one thing that I do want to do at one point is have a large enough custom base made like the neca line has for these guys to stand on.

what do you guys think?

Feels like ages I haven't updated this thread. Been working on "props" for my beloved giant movie turtles again. Last created a TGRI canister out of some wood and dremel. prob not to scale but i like how it turned out..

Gonna resume working on these guys this week so look for more updates :-)

The cannister looks nice! It may not be in perfect scale but it's mighty close. It's too bad Donny's bandana pieces don't match though.

thanks! I haven't started on Donny's head yet, have him and raph to do still. left these guys untouched for a few months but slowly getting back into it.

Im debating if I should use real "eyes" stickers over the reg eyes. i tried it on photoshop but that looked creepy haaha

heres a quick little update.

added a great Pizza box and pizza slices for the giant Mikey figure. I want to keep adding props but not sure what else to add. I love these movie star figures.
