Anyone ever read the Flying Carrot crossover?

I found it kinda boring to be perfectly honest. Don't get me wrong there's plenty of action but I just can't get into a majority of the characters. But hey, if there's a comic you haven't read, read it. Thats my mentality.

If you mean the one where Raph becomes a superhero, THAT IS EPIC HILARITY. One of the very few times I have honestly LOL'd at a comic book.

In fact, now I just might reread it tonight! :D

If you mean the other one, it didn't do that much for me, honestly. Something about dinosaurs, I think. Don't really remember.

You mean Flaming Carrot??

There were actually 2 of them. One in Dark Horse in 1991 and another in Mirage in 1993/1994.

The 2nd one was the more interesting one as the TMNT go down to South America with Fema to bring supplies to people after a major hurricane devistates a couple countries.

I actually prefered the first one published in the Flaming Carrot comic-itself. The miniseries published by Mirage didn't really do anything for me and neither did the Jim Lawson art.

If you're aching for new TMNT material to read, then yeah, I'd say at least go for the first one. Otherwise, it's sort of a bore and not really worth it.

I've only read that 4-issue mini-series crossover published by Mirage.

I never even knew the TMNT guest starred in Flaming Carrot's own comic until a couple months ago.

Oh yeah, flaming carrot is great! If you like offbeat satire & comedy stuff like The Tick or Madman, it's sort of along those lines.

Is... ok... I suppose. But I've only read 2 of the issues, so I can't give it a full judgment.

Darkhorse comics put out a couple of tpb's of flaming carrot's classic series some years ago & they're totally worth investigating. Recently Image comics also put out a tpb of more recent stuff & again, it's a great read if your into weird satire or super hero spoof's.

Its been so long since I read this. I don't recall hating it. I think it was ok to me. The other thing I recall are the rare moments (very rare) where Jim Lawsons art looks like something from his best days. The odd posture or turtle head.
I've never read the other crossover though. Maybe I should look for this?
What issue is this? A Flaming Carrot one?

I'm speaking of Flaming Carrot's own series (no crossovers). I've never read the crossover w/ the turtles. If it ever came out in tpb or hc I'd snatch it up for sure. I loved when they appeared in the Savage Dragon comic. Another awesome read hands down.
