Question: Donatello RPG Comic

hi all...

i am just wondering about the Donatello story that appears in the TMNT Adventures Role Playing book by Palladium ---- is that particular story reprinted elsewhere? ( Shell Shock? etc).

i would check my copy of shell shock but it's on the other side of the country.

It's called "New York Ninja," and it was reprinted in "Shell Shock."

As far as I can tell the only story that wasn't reprinted anywhere else was the Future Raph story in Road Hogs.

Though there's plenty of "scenarios" and such with little illustrations you won't find anywhere else.

Thread made me whip out my copy of Shell Shock and give New York Ninja a Review (http://tmntentity.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-york-ninja.html). Should review more of these shorts. Super easy.

Anyhow, I hadn't realized before that it was adapted (rather poorly) for the 4Kids series; the episode "The Lesson".

Wouldn't be the last time the writers tried to milk a half hour out of one of these 10-page shorts, but substituting Chang with Casey sort've opened up a world of continuity glitches they could've just as well have avoided.

Yeah, who would have thought that Casey was the "real" first human the TMNT ever met? Doesn't that alone create huge continuity problems for the first three episodes of the 4Kids series? But then, of course, you have to add the Ancient One... and the toy-obsessed Old Wendell in BTTS. Before long, it makes you think that meeting humans should have been old hat by the time the TMNT came across April.
