April's hairstyle in the 80's

What did you think of April with that black curly 80's hair-do in the early Volume 1 comics? Look at her on the cover of #11 on the site to see a big pic of it.

Very 80s. May have worked at the beginning of the OT, but by the time it ended in the mid 90s, it would have been horrendously out of date, as many women by then would have been wearing the fashionable Rachel hairdo. Very stereotypically 80s. Places the comic book in the 80s- while the OT April's hairstyle is nowhere near as explicitly 80s.

On a similar note, is it just me, or did it seem to take them a few issues to nail down just what ethnicity April was supposed to be? (I always thought she looked more than a little Hispanic in her first appearance)

As a Hispanic, I will tell you that there is no such thing as looking Hispanic. The Spanish speaking world is very diverse- and while some traits are more common in some countries, generalizing is not possible due to the huge variety.

I get told often that I do not look Hispanic/Latina, even though I am 100% Spanish genetically (unless you count distant German and Semitic ancestors).

I never understood why April's skin color was debated. She was white in issue 2 at any rate.
