How complete is your TMNT comic collection?

Excluding re-prints with alternate covers, or collected books, or TMNT appearing in other comic crossovers, how complete is your TMNT comic collection? Break it down by each series:

Mirage Universe:

Volume 1: I own all 62 issues, including the 4 TMNT specials and the Fugitoid one-shot.

Volume 2: Own all 13 issues.

Tales of the TMNT V. 1 Own all 7 issues, plus the sequel to #7 Lawson did in the Tales Collected Book back in 2007.

Image: Volume 3: I own all 23 issues. (Can't wait for #24 and 25 to come out!)

Volume 4: I own all 30 issues so far.

Tales of the TMNT V. 2: Completely up to date with all issues, including the Leo/Raph/Mike/Don 4-issue mini-series.

Specials/Crossovers: I'm pretty sure I own all of these, all Turtle Soups, Savage Dragon crossovers, Flaming Carrot, Haunted Pizza, Casey Jones mini-series, BodyCount 4-parter, Maltease Turtle, Haunted Pizza, even the TMNT 2007 Movie Adaption Comics.

Cartoons:

Archie Series: I own all the regular series, but I'm missing Mutanimals #9 and TMNT Special #11.

DreamWave: Own all 7 issues.



What I essentially don't have is the "Shell Shock" collected book, as well as the TMNT appearing in other comic series. I never read the Usagi Yojimbo crossover, or the TMNT appearing in Flaming Carrots own series, nor did I read them in Big Bang Comics or stuff like that. I did read Savage Dragon #22 though where they kill the clone of Complete Carnage.

I didn't even start to seriously collect the comics until 2001, so I managed to get almost everything in just under a decade of collecting.

I pretty much have everything in terms of Mirage Stuff with exception to a couple and first printings of the first 3 books and 2 issues from vol 1 I haven't got around to buying.

I think I am going to collect the Archie Books at some point I never thought about collecting them but I think I'll add those to my collection some where down the line.

I've got vol.3 completed & archie 75%. As for the OG mirage stuff its scattered, I have MAYBE Half & for vol.2 I only have issues 1-3 & some specials. No original tales & about 20 from vol.2 tales.

Missing the first three oversized printings of issue 1, Raphael second printing, and the alternate cover to Tales #32. Beyond that just some of the rarer/expensive misprints.

Don't have the original two Gobbledygooks, Turtlemania, Cowabunga Comics or that adult in-house comic.

Adventures
Missing 68-69, Specials 6 and 11, and Year of the Turtle #2.

Beyond these I'm mostly just missing crossovers from other publishers. I don't have any of the Creed copies with their billion and four alternate covers, Digital Webbing 24, the Usagi crossovers (I do have those in paperback, though). Something I do have that some people might ignore/forget are all of the TMNT and Savage Dragon comics packed with the Erik Larsen and Jim Lee action figures in the 90s.

At the turn of the year I caught up my Tales Vol. 2 with #57-#65, the 4 Plastron Cafe anthologies, Vol. 4 #30, Don: The Brain Thief 4 parter, and the last Collected Book One

Saturday my package came that contained the following:

I now have multiple copies of almost every issue of volume one, and I have everything else now except for some TMNTA issues and issue 14 of Tales volume 2. I am quite happy. lol. I am however irked that TMNT wasn't optioned out as a comic to DC, or DarkHorse. I am going to miss my comics.

I, too, have multiples of several Volume 1 issues from a short box I ordered off eBay several years ago. I have like 10 copies of Leonardo and a few other issues along with all the other books I got. In all, I beleive I got 32 different issues out of the deal.

I used to have several of the Archie TMNT and Mighty Mutanimals comics, but I lost most of what I had during transitioning from living in the family home to living in a communal group home for people with mental illness (I have Clinical Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Social Anxiety Disorder), to living on my own (since the summer of 2006, I`ve moved 3 times). All I have now is the three issue Donatello and Leatherhead series and Mighty Mutanimals Issue 1.
Wish I could find someone selling MM Issues 2-9, preferably someone who would accept a bank or postal money order as payment for those comics (I especially want issues 2, 4, 5 and 6 of Mighty Mutanimals).

Now this is a thread after my own heart... :tgrin: Collecting TMNT comic books is my passion.

It's definitely easier to state what I don't have...I have nearly everything - all variants, misprints, errors, counterfeits, you name it...even a few things I've never seen before outside of my collection.

I've been collecting TMNT comics (and some figures and misc. collectibles) for nearly 25 years. My current WANT LIST (http://www.tmnt-ninjaturtles.com/blog/want-list/) is literally all that I don't yet have...

...and if anyone has one of these treasures just let me know. :D

I only look to the US comics in general, so I never got into any of the UK releases here, especially the Titan stuff in the 2000s.

Full set of everything from the first four official volumes, aside from a couple of non first printings in volume one. Full set of both Tales series, including the cover variant of Tales #2.32. All seven Dreamwave issues, including cover variant of issue #1. All IDW main series issues and all cover variants.

I won't be buying the colour releases of the original series though.

I have all spin offs, one shots etc for Mirage and IDW. Shellshock. Turtle Soup. Many of the crossovers. The Digital Webring issue. The 25th anniversary book, the Artography and the Bodycount hardcover.

I don't have the original Gobbledygooks, or Turtlemania. Those are really all that I need at some point, money and availability willing.

I've got just about everything. Once in a blue moon I'll run across some random app I didn't know existed. But thats actually why I started collecting pre-TMNT Eastman and Laird work...I ran out of stuff to collect. I think rich is the only regular poster on this board I know of that can stand up to my catalog. ( don't mean that to come across as douchy asthat totally sounded)

Probably fairly light compared to others here.

To start, I only really care about having one good reading copy of any particular issue. Sometimes I'll end up with doubles (I have second printings of the first four issues, plus the latest Mirage TPB, plus the new IDW "Ultimate Collections," for example), but except in rare cases, I won't bother tracking down single issues of stories I already have in other collections. (Although, conversely, I will buy new collections of material I already have because it's usually nicer and I want to support current releases).

That said, I'll just cover what actual stories I'm missing. Which is ... quite a bit.

Vol 1: I don't have "Men of Shadow," "Sky Highway," "Masks Part I and II," or "The River" (although I've read it). I also only have one of the specials, and am missing the last volume of "Turtle Soup" and "Plastron Cafe."

Tales Vol 1: Nothing missing except the untitled Nobody story from the first TPB.

Vol 2: Nothing missing

Vol 3: I only have issues 3 and 7, unfortunately.

Vol 4: I've read it all, but I only have seven issues total; can't remember which numbers.

Tales Vol 2: Huge holes in my collection. I think I have everything from about #42 onward, but it's very spotty before that.

IDW: Haven't ventured there yet and am not terribly interested in doing so in the near future.

Dreamwave: Don't have a single issue

Archie: I have the four Tundra TPBs, issues 19 and 20, the Mutanimals opening trilogy, the issue with the mammoth mutant that precedes the "Future Shark Trilogy" (can't remember the number), the first issue of the "Future Shark Trilogy," and the second issue of the five-part CyberTurtles mini-series. That, unfortunately, is it, although I have read through most of the series.

So, yeah. I'm always on the hunt for back issues and am keeping current with IDW's latest Mirage collections.

There are a lot of one-shots I don't have though. They're at the bottom of the list.
