So i'm not sure if this is the right area to post such a thing, forgive me if not. But I have a movie figure (92) don with a broken bandana.. I dont have the old piece but I am trying to "restore" him instead of buying a new one.. any tips on replacing the knot? I was thinking about taking one off a 2003 leo figure since I Dont display him.. but I'm not even sure where to begin with paint and what not.
Any tips appreciated. :tconfuse:

You could try sculpting new ones. It's not that hard, as it's only two small strips of sculping material that you then twirl a little.
I made some with ceramic for my figures but never got around to attach them and ended up losing them.

I had mine and I yanked it off on purpose. I repainted the whole thing and made the bandanna ends real cloth to make em more "movie star" accurate lol. but you can just get air dry scluptey at any craft store and shape them any way you want, its really easy.

Thanks for the quick reply and encouraging words guys! Hmm so Air Dry Sculpy? I will have to look this up.. I want to make sure I get the colors right.. I have never painted any kind of toy before So I am not too sure what I should buy.. any suggestions?
I also want to make sure the color matches! :tgrin: I am such a noob!
@Agliarept : I Saw your giant movie tmnt with the cloth bandana, very nice! what kind of cloth did you use/where did you buy it. Are those guys rubberized like the smaller ones?? I have the smaller ones myself.. I was kind of thinking about painting the wrists/elbow/knee movie accurate but wasnt sure what kind of paint to use on the rubber.

hi,
the cloths are from generic haines t-shirst that you get at an art store like michaels or ac moore. I just bought a blank baby shirt in ornage and purple and cut them up. the figures aren't rubber tho, they are just hard plastic and i thought don and mikey had the best expressions out of the bunch. for the figures i used outdoor paint, the stuff you use on doors and windows. if i can find the can i used i will let you know.
cheers,
