Bebop and Rocksteady

Which one is stronger? Which one is Smarter? Which one is your favorite? Should they be brought back or were the references to them in the 2003 toon enough?

Good question. I guess they are equally stupid in different ways.

It's not like Beavis and Butt-head, where Butt-head is marginally more intelligent than Beavis, even though both are very dumb.

Not much to say about them. I happen to think Rocksteady is a tad smarter than Bebop only because to me, he sounds a little smarter when he speaks. Other than that they are both idiots.

And brought back where? For Nostalgia maybe. But Fred Wolf Films owns the rights I believe so yeah.

What I notice was that Rocksteady always seemed to have more lines than Bebop did. I dunno, maybe just me.

And I've always wanted to watch through the OT and tally each stupid moment and each smart moment each of them had to see which is actually stupider... but I don't think i'd ever get that done.

I do think that Rocksteady seemed a tad more intelligent, I remember quite a number of eps where he was telling Bebop what to do.

I honestly thing Bebop is smarter. I think they just used Rocksteady as more of a leader because he appeared a little stronger than Bebop. It's like a no-brainer to kids that a rhinoceros is stronger than a warthog, but Bebop seemed to have a little more common sense I think. Besides, he looked cooler in his human form with the purple mohawk! Yet, I like Rocksteady because he has a few moments of being a funny idiot, and a complete b***a***. I'm sure if they were brought back, it would only be for comic relief. Kinda like the newer Transformers movie.

They both seemed equally stupid to me. I like Rocksteady more. He was the funnier of the two and I loved how he insulted that one illusionary monster.

Yeah they can get away with it if you look at them as just street punks and not their race. I think Rocksteady is the smarter one and it's not because he was white before he mutated. That is just a silly way of looking at and trying to stir up an argument. I mean hell, they got away with April and Casey cohabitating in the 2007 movie, so they can get away with Rocksteady being smarter.

Oh shut up. Of all the black people I know, I'm smarter than some and some are smarter than me. Of all the white people I know, I'm smarter than some and some are smarter than me. (I can go down through every single race if you'd like).

On top of that... they DID get away with it. And on top of that, no one got a tattoo on their fuc*ing arm to remember which of the mutants was black and which was white.

Rocksteady is deffinately 'smarter' if you wanna be blunt... He often corrected bebop & would put his 2cents in on the little tasks they had to complete whereas bebop was without guidance. My favorite of the two is DEFFINATELY bebop. Looks, personality, the whole schtick.

Hey, I thought his idea of replacing infomercials with commercials in the late-night slot was a pretty smart move. Some of those things are more entertaining than shows on at that time! :D

I read somewhere that these two mutants were the original idea in Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze, then the producers decided on Tokka and Rahzar.

But to answer the discussion: I'd say Bebop was funnier than Rocksteady. I remember his line before being mutated in "Enter the Shredder": "I wish I'd brought some comic books."

Man, I love Bebop and Rocksteady. I'd be thrilled to see them show up in new Turtle lore, and I have no problem with them being as tough as they really should be. They should definitely not be pushovers in a fight, though the Turtles can and should be able to outsmart them easily enough.

Why don't we just take some chalk, make a big circle for "Bebop" and a big circle for "Rocksteady" on the ground, then swing a bag of garbage around and around and then let go like in a discus toss... see which circle the bag of garbage lands in and consider the matter settled.

Rocksteady, all the way!
I've always found him to be the more courageous of the two... but maybe that's where Bebop's intelligence presents itself, in that he knows when to run. Rocksteady's military style has a lot to do with it too. In the end, they compliment eachother so well, it's difficult to imagine one without the other.

No, I don't think I wanna' see 'em brought back... but it was nice seein' 'em in Toitles Forever.

Rhinos don't have fur but they have hair. Its very short and rigid and very sparse.

Kind of like facial hair but not as dense.

I'd say in the old toon Bebop is smart but in the Archie comics Rocksteady is.
Rocksteady also is made to seem smarter in the action figure line.
And should they be brought back? I don't mind and I do think we will be seeing the old toon characters again with this new nick show.
I think I like them both the same, they both had a number of good lines in the later seasons of the show.
My favorit Bebop though has to be "Clap Dem In Irons!" hahaha (from the merdude episode)

Ultimately, I think the real differences all come down to their animalistic characteristics and traits. Hence, why Rocksteady is stronger IMO.
