This is more directed at Andrew since he's on now lol, but anyone that sees this can hop in and answer.

I was just reading through #11 and in the letters col. Erik mentioned in response to a letter that some artwork had to be added to the pages so the stories flow better in TPB form. What did this artwork look like and was there added captions of dialogue?

Good question. I actually haven't had a copy of the Image TPB in a very long time (despite my best efforts to track one down again) so I don't know, but I'll ask Frank.

There was a page added to the TPB because of the 2 page spread at the end of issue # 2--the page fell in between issues 2 and 3 which would have made it page 42 in the TPB. It was put in to compensate for pages to fall in their proper left to right order. So yeah, there,s a bonus page in the TPB.

I'm really glad Venom asked that question. I had no idea there was an extra page in that TPB until now.

Wicked sweet! That's a cool bit of dialogue between Mako and Splinter. I never delved much into the Dragon's books so I don't know anything about Mako other than what I saw of him in TMNT; makes Mako seem less of a bad guy, even though animosity is certainly present, and more a creature concerned for his life.

Or maybe he just wanted to eat Splinter, scrawny or not. :P

Wow, great find!

I know that Larsen used to (seemingly not so much anymore) rearrange and add pages into his tpbs of Savage Dragon, to make a more coherent, better to read 'graphic novel'. Glad to see a wee part of that rubbed off on the TMNT!

Yeah, Erik actually said in the letter that when he's drawing Savage Dragon he deliberately draws the last page of an issue he envisions it someday sitting next to the first page of the following issue.

Knowing that piece of info makes what Andrew said in the conclusion project thread really interesting. I really hope things pull together so we can get the Image Turtles fully collected, chock full of a few extra pages and behind-the-scenes artwork and such!
