Thank God Krang won't be in any movies. Krang was good, in the first cartoon, but the movies are funner when they translate through the comics. I think even the younger kids today like it that way. This is reflected through the new show.

why do u people hate krang and the technodrome so much thats what made the turtles so cool and popular. I came from a time when geting the technodrome powerered up and moved and krang and shredder ploting was cool. But I wished for more violence and shredder not to be such a let me be nice in saying this pussy cat! go figure lol

hey I liked some of the red skys it was more realer intill after the first red sky year then the next one 95 it was drawn real ass cheap and 96 looked good I guess being the last year but mean why can't they tie up the story lines of the charators? and I think get shredder was a good episode and blowing up channel 6 was cool and that fight after wards and finally capturing them but dam they got away grrr

Shredder should be alive in the next movie
Why? Because he kicks ass....

A live action Krang would be just plain odd, however a live action technodrome would be sweet. The huge battle machine brought to life and all it's glory. Personally, I don't think that Krang would fit in any way in the new series so it's better without him. I'm a huge fan of the old cartoon and think it's better but that's just my opinion.

Who the heck really likes a huge sphere with an eye on top? It's the most inconvenient moving machine. If anything a Star Destroyer type thing would be best.

i thought end 2004/2005 because they're only in the pre-production stage and that will take until the end of this year for sure.
don't expect it in the near near future.

I don't understand why everyone would be so against Krang, Bebop & Rocksteady & thed Technadrome in a movie. I don't think it would be so bad, I think it would ROCK. All my life i've been waiting for a movie with all of them especially Bebop & Rocksteady.
As a kid I was dissapointed they never got to be in any movies, it always crushed me. I think they deserved to be in a movie and still do. I know hundreds of people who would go see a new TMNT movie based off the old cartoon and its characters
All my friends and always said the same thing. "Where's Bebop & Rocksteady? I thought they were going in the movies. This sucks. I always thought Krang would come in the second one too with the Technodrome. Boy was i wrong and sad.
Just thinking about Bebop & Rocksteady in a movie makes me psycho happy. It be the coolest.

I'm not mad Apple Cat. Just that when people say think god that's not going be in a movie it basically says to me they'd never want them to be in a movie and be opposed to it.

Dude, when I was a kid I would have LOVED Them in the movie, I was upset that Tokka and Razar were in a movie, and not Bebop and Rocksteady. In fact, I still wish they were in the second movie, not that i didn't like T&R, but I just really wanted them in that flick.
I think it's pretty obvious by now, Krang, Bebop and Rocksteady are dead though... Peter Laird dosn't even own them as far as I know...
I'd actually rather see Bebop and Rocksteady in the new series (not Krang or the 'drome) Than in the movie.. that's just me though
Nickokapo
03-26-2003, 12:55 AM
Krang and the 'drome aint coming back unfortunately, i think...tho that'd rock :P but i guess they're part of the past.
Dont get me wrong, im with mondo here as i'd loved to see the TD and krang on the big screen (tho i think live action krang would look weird, in that i agree with deathknight :ohwell: ) its just that if there was any chance of it happening it'd have been when the old toon aired, but it didnt.
What i want is an animated full length tmnt movie  and not based on mirage we already got the new series for those  i mean an original script.
Yeah i wouldn't mind having krang, bebop, rocksteady, and the technodrome in a movie, but it would probably end up really childish. Besides if it didn't happen when the old show was out its not happening now. But what i really want is a violent movie. I'd love to see Leo cut someone's head off.

and whats this what the creator said in his interview about forget turtles 2 and go where 1 left off ?Much like the third and fourth Batman-movies, the sequels are not specially good, doesn't add much for some sort of bigger story... And instead of moving on with the story, they brought back Shredder after he was killed! :|

Krang, Bebop and Rockestaedy are always good memories from my childhood. Still, like everyone has been saying, they wouldn't fit the original TMNT feel in anyway, and there won't be a new series or movie that would have those characters.
Thats how it is. All may not like it, but there's no point complaining about it. Only chance for that happening was when the old show was still popular. I heard that they tough about making animated movie, but it never went into production.

When I was a kid in the early 90's, I would have absolutely loved Bebop and Rcoksteady in a movie. Thing is, that was a long time ago. B&R would just not fit in with the new wave. Krang and the technodrome would just look silly in a movie now i think.A talking brain in the stomach of a robot would just seem a bit 80's to me.
Karpo_007
03-26-2003, 04:35 PM
Well there will be talking brains in robots stomach in the new series... It's the charcater that woulnd't fit the current TMNT.
Psycho Da Turtle
03-26-2003, 05:05 PM
I was refering, however, to the movie. I dont think that brains in stomachs would look so great in a movie. However if they were covered up with a shirt, as Krang was not, I could see it working. But if constantly they walked around with the brains showing, I wouldnt like that. They would have to be fully or mostly computer animated for me to like them. A puppet brain would look 80'sish to me as I stated.

T3 is coming this summer. There is a female Termintor send back in time to "Kill us All". But like Iron, I too have a little hard time figuring how they can explain the Terminators... As fars as we know, every possible way to create skynet were destroyed in T2.

It's coming sometime next year. No cast has been announced yet, although they did say that Splinter will be a short guy in a suit, NOT a puppet on a stick. Oh, and I believe Krang is not going to be in it.

It's a rule that sequels are bad.Show me the book where it's written, and I'll believe you :D

No need for books, thats common knowledge.
Not all sequels are bad. Just look at the star wars triology and the Indian Jones triology.

Read the previous posts. There are exceptions to the rule. But 90% of sequels are bad. Thats a fact. To name few exceptions, T2, Aliens and Empire strikes back.

No need for books, thats common knowledge.Oy yoy yoy...this is coming from the guy who used the example of Coke and Pepsi to explain the difference between fact and opinion. Just because a sequel to something is going to be made does NOT mean it will be bad. There are enough exceptions as you mentioned to contradict what you say is "fact". Boy, you really can't make up your mind, can you?
Karpo_007
04-09-2003, 10:03 AM
The hell is he talking about? Like I said, 90% sequels are bad. And if I think Pepsi is better than coke, it is a matter of opinion. Of course wich Star Wars movie is the best is a matter of opinion too, but the majority will vote for Empire.
Shoot yourself, NOW!
Grow up, my boy.
Well, I think sequels made just to have a sequel (and leech off the existing popularity) are generally bad. However, there are many series' that do sequels because there's actually more story to be told.
Karpo_007
04-09-2003, 10:29 AM
Still, most sequels turnout bad, even if they continue the story. Best example would be the Planet of the apes series. It al pretty much depends how much work they put into it. From directors like Spielberg and Cameron good sequel can be expected.

Actually, Vin isn't smart or sophisticated enough to play as deep a part as Rocksteady!
Anyway great pic Nickokapo!
Also I agree with Kali about sequels.

I guess it's because geocities doesnt allow displaying images in sites other than the one you registered for in geocities, most free hosting sites dont, i guess it's because there's so many people registered already if everyone went around displaying images while using their hosting they'd go bankurpt in no time :P

You're welcome :D
BTW if anyone wonders what the technodrome would look like in cgi head over to www.ninjaturtlesnetwork.com neil did a great job in doing a cgi model of it :D
If krang and the technodrome would be in a new movie, i'd prefer the technodrome done in cgi, i dunno how they'd do it in live action without it looking cheesy, same goes to krang.

Something just hit me: I've known of other TV shows that have had movies based soley on them not made until about 15-30 years after it's end...I say it COULD be possible to bring back the old TMNT cartoon in a movie form...look what it did for The Jetsons and Flintstones ;)
Karpo_007
04-15-2003, 10:44 AM
Is there a movie about Jetsons?
U2WaTCHer
04-15-2003, 10:48 AM
yea they did the Jetsons the movie a while back I think in 91 or 2 and then theres that jetsons and flintstones movie, even the flintstones had even some small tv movies on tv to the point pebbles and bam bam had kids lol

The Flinstones movie was live action, not Jetsons. Though Jetsons kinda sucked cause I think they were trying to make it a musical.

AT http://www.fortunecity.com/victorian/muses/353/tmntn.html
IT TELLS A BIT ABOUT THE MOVIE
LIKE-
Fact #1 : The original idea and pilot for a new TMNT TV series in CGI was rejected by all parties it was pitched to.
Fact #2 : Present concept for the new TMNT TV series will not be in CGI, but animated as the first cartoon was. Mirage is optimistic about this TV series.
Fact #3 : The John Woo-directed CGI fourth movie will not meet its Christmas 2002 release date for the reasons stated above. As speculation aside, we have to consider the release date "unknown." Keep your eyes peeled here on Corona for updates on the John Woo TMNT flick.
OR GO TO http://www.ninjaturtles.com
Those "facts" are horribly outdated...
Currently, there is no big screen movie plans, save for in spirit. There is a TV-movie in the works, that is scheduled for release in late 2003/most likely 2004.

It is pretty clear that it won't be out this year. As far as I know, it's still in pre-production...
