Life Size party van

Was this used for promotions, or for the Turtle Rocks (or whatever it was called) stageshow? I've never seen it before, and this website doesn't offer much info. From the size of the rear hatch and decklid it looks like they started with a 61-65 bus.

Here's some pics with a crappy looking turtle at a museum. On the article's main page they say the car was used in the movie. Thats some nice fact-finding for you right there...

Not to rain on the parade or anything but this near exact thread was up only about a month ago. For future referance, just use the seach button at the top of the page and look for what you might post (if its an odd find that is... they're likely to pop up here shortly after where they originate) to see if theres a thread for it already. Neato find though, hopefully someone here will answer your question.

It's ok, I brought my umbrella. I scanned the first few pages and I didn't see anythign relevant, so I just posted.
edit: I found the other post, but these are all new links & photos...
I caught a glimpse of a van used at the MGM stageshow, on youtube, and they were using a cobbled together Toyota van.

I'd totally bang a chick in the back of that Turtle van. The funny thing is i'd probably get laid more because of that van. I'd drive that on the street. I love the last picture with the ****** turtle costume. My grandma made me a better costume when I was a kid.
