Well with Neca not putting out series 2 I thought I better start revisiting sculpting if I ever want a complete set of the Mirage Universe. I absolutely love the xbox/ps3 game Brutal Legend and wanted to explore sculpting that brand for a while... below is a link to an album full of progress pics of x2 Eddie Riggs (Jack Black) that Ive been workin on over the last 2 weeks.
If you're into the game or not, check them out and feel free to leave some feedback! Hope some of you enjoy

Nice, there should probably be a sub-section in general discussion for non-TMNT customs so that this sub-section doesn't get cluttered.

I dont imagine there will be a flooding of non-tmnt work on the board. I've been customizing for years and just posting whatever Im working on related or non to whatever product or franchise the board is specific to. If it's considered inappropriate I'll refrain from posting any of my work here unless its TMNT related. The forum on the other hand is called Custom Toys/ Collectibles which would suggest anything (TMNT, original work, or other franchises) may be posted.

Yet there is a forum section for non-tmnt related toys, so I'm gonna go with cjj on this one and say while cool it should perhaps be in the other section.

Never saw it, never knew. I dont explore much outside the TMNT related sections and didnt think there would be 2 places to post customs on here.

Well, there is a section for non-TMNT toys, it should probably have a sub-section for non-TMNT customs. We used to just post our customs in toy/collectible discussion, but someone suggested that TMNT customs have their own sub-section because it was starting to clutter up the general TMNT toy discussion forum.

Oh I know I read that whole thread as it was happening. But thats why I posted it in here because I knew this section was made fr customs and was unaware of any other place to post it.
I just looked and there there isn't that subsection that you suggested there should be so I suppose either that should be added or respectfully may I pose the question, does it matter? As long as something qualifies as a custom piece of work, I think it should be allowed to get posted here because it matches the criteria. I don't think the board gets SO much activity we need multiple boards for customs. In fact the last post on this page is from February so a post here or there of something non-TMNT wouldn't really flood the board. I guess Im just asking is that additional board REALLY necessary for other customs considering the volume being produced by all the members. Just observing and discussing. Cant really clutter up a custom section with customs.

Well...at one point we didn't need a sub-section for TMNT customs, and now look at how much activity this sub-section gets a separate entity. Krang is pretty reasonable about these sorts of things...it would be easily added and might even encourage more members to do non-TMNT customs and post them to these boards. You created an entirely new thread for a non-TMNT custom, usually when people post those they post them alongside TMNT stuff simply as an after thought, usually it's something like "oh by the way you can see so-and-so from Cartoon/Comic Book X in the background" or, "Also have been working on this, by the way." Most of us don't mind that, we're even appreciative of it, but if we start cluttering up a section devoted to TMNT customs with non-TMNT customs, that defeats the purpose of this section in the sense that this section was created so that we wouldn't be cluttering the general toy/collectible discussion.
Make sense?
It was a Noob mistake, nobody is mad at you/judging you, you just lack the context that the rest of us share by virtue of having been here longer. Hope I don't sound condescending, that's not what I'm going for here.

Since so few of them have been posted so far, non-TMNT customs can be posted either here or in the Toys and Collectibles section in GD. Either one is fine (but not both ;)), so it's up to the creator to decide. If it ever gets to a point where there are a large number of threads about them, we will decide on an official location for them, possibly even a new subforum.

First I need to start with and this is all in the most respectful way.. Im not a Noob and have been a member since 2004.. because my posting activity lacks means nothing. I don't appreciate being considered naive "in the way things work". I'm not sure how it was a mistake posting a custom on a custom board. Actually, since there's a TMNT Fan Creations section this sub-section belongs there.
Sorry but that actually didn't make sense. The General discussion was being cluttered with customs like you said, which is why it made sense to pull them and make a separate section. But that was it.. getting the customs out of the general discussion, not getting the customs out and then splitting because they may not be TMNT. I go back to my statement you cannot clutter section meant for customs up, with customs despite the franchise they belong to. I'm comprehending everything you're suggesting but it's just not necessary to create an entire section based on my posting this non-custom. Why not keep all the customs together. I for one am a member of a lot of forums dedicated to specific franchises and they all seem to be fine allowing all the customs in one section. They actually promote it for sake of variety and creativity. Yes this is getting more attention. But why don't we continue to post them all in one section until something like that becomes valid ( if we even want to go that route). Like I said.. The last post on this page is still from Feb and I although I hope the volume picks up even more.. it's not there yet.
Something additional, but lets talk about the for sale section. That also has things being sold in it at times that arent ALL TMNT. Yes theres the eBay non-TMNT sticky but I've seen other things posted in there non-related. Should those all be in a separate forum? No because theres not enough volume for it.
Considering that we're debating something that is so unimportant that at end of the day, what custom section I posted my custom in wont end anyone's life how about this. Whenever I've come to a new board I've looked for a custom/ sculpture section, not multiple. How about this Custom Section gets pulled into the Fan Creations section (since they are). Then for those who dont like looking through all the customs and only TMNT, make a sub-section within the customs for non and things of this nature go there. This would all have to be approved and done by Krang obviously but I think it's the best solution and we can all be happy. The TMNT customs will be separate from everything else.
I would for sake of argument like to have everything together for an
undetermined amount of time out of the curiosity IF it would eventually create a volume problem for them to be split, but I'm playing devils advocate.

Krang please see my suggestion above on pulling customs into the Fan Creations, then additionally, at your discretion and if necessary a sub-section for the non TMNT.
And off topic, did the rest of those scanned posters arrive in your email alright?

Good idea, that might help if future non-TMNT custom threads continue to be an issue. For now, though, I think it's ok to leave things the way they are due to the fact that there are only a few of them.
And yes, I did receive the rest of the scans. Thanks!

Man I LOVE that game, need to finish it still, but I'm bummed no figures. That looks spectacular, the sculpting on it really well done and the dragon arms work really well. the face is pretty dead on. My only critique so far is i think the shins part of the pants and feet should be a teeeny bit thicker, they'd match the hands more as well.
but looking forward to seeing it finished.
