Have you ever had a encounter with a ghost?
I don't know, but being creeped out and hearing about ghost and such is just so interesting.
I don't know if this really count's but I have always seen this black figure when I was younger. It would always look at me but by peeping out of doors. It looked weird because it wore a trench coat with an old school detective hat. All you could see were white eyes. It appeared a few times in my childhood. I don't know what it means.
And I have plenty more stories to tell from my family.
Does anyone have any creepy stories?

So that's a very unnecessary comment. So be quiet if your not going to contribute.

More depressing since I miss her so much, and every time it happens I get my hopes up that she's actually going to stick around for more than like a minute.

Not translucent at all. She's also been capable of interacting with objects.

Wow that's pretty f'd up. In Mexico at my uncle's house he showed us a picture of his dog jumping in the air. But in the back you can see a lady in rags like from back in the day, she was kinda transparent and all red. Some creepy sh*t goes on in that house. I don't even know how there still sane.

Ghost stories are fake.
That's why anytime anyone tells you a ghost story it's absolutely ridiculous.
If someone really saw a ghost, it would completely change their lives. Especially if the ghost was able to interact with them.
Sorry to crap on everyone's parade. I've never heard a single ghost story that sounded even the slightest bit plausible.

This will be history making, since there's never been any proof whatsoever. Please, enlighten me. I must have missed this on CNN when they found evidence that ghosts exist.

So nothing, then?
That's what I figured.
I'm all for a spooky campfire ghost story. It's good fun. I just hate to see people embarass themselves by recanting ridiculous stories of how they got bodyslammed by the ghost of Andre the Giant in their kitchen while making pizzarolls. Then claim it's the absolute truth.
There's never been a shred of evidence to suggest that ghosts exist. Unlike UFOs and other paranormal phenomena, there's not even a logic reason why proof of ghost's existence would be hidden.
I'll give you at the very best, you once saw something that you thought was a ghost. But anything beyond that, where it spoke, talked to you, touched you or you had an extended experience with it as absolute nonsense.

Unfortunately when it comes to pictures, there are so many things that could produce a ghost-like image on it. Isn't it strange that we always see pictures of ghosts, but no video? Because photography as a science can produce some anomaly.
Anywho, I'll just apologize. I came in and kind of crapped all over your thread. If you guys enjoy this stuff, more power to you.
There is just not enough evidence for me to believe it. Especially when so many people have had ghost experiances, but never a shred of concrete support has ever come out.
Anywho, have fun. I really wasn't trying to be harsh.

When my parents first moved to Florida from NY, they had bought some 30 acres with two houses on it. One house was BER, but we moved into the other and subdivided the land and set trailers on it as rental property.
For the next 5 years, us and the tenants always felt a peculiar chill in the air. The BER house was an accident waiting to happen, but whenever my dad would make arrangements to have it demolished, that's when a strong storm would come through and hold the project up. Then one day, I was coming from the pasture to get a drink, and my parents, my aunt and a family friend were on the porch, and they were all asking me where did my little friend go. I had no idea what they were talking about, but they all said they saw a girl about my age at the time (I was about 9 or 10) with pale hair in a white dress with a blue ribbon in her hair. I never saw her, but because my dad got so freaked out by that incident, he sold the property to a developer 3 months later. That was back in 1990. Since then, the developer has had nothing but problem after problem due to weather or mechanical issues in trying to develop the land. Is it haunted or just pure coincidental that the weather keeps going bad in the area, and that my whole family were hallucinating the little girl. I don't know about you, but I can take only so much coincidences at the same time.
Mind you, this isn't some property out in the middle of nowhere. It's in West Palm Beach, 1 mile west from the ocean, and half a mile north of PBIA.

Wow I would be sh*tting myself hard. This thread is giving me the chills just picturing things.
Another scary thing is, In Mexico my aunt felt someone grab and turn her head. And my cousin saw a little boy run in her little brother's room and thought it was him. So when she went in his room she saw no one was there, and that he was sleeping in his moms room. Kinda of creepy huh. I'm a little disappointed that I never saw anything there from all the times I slept with them.

I have seen lantern men, not anything supernatural, since the phenomenon can be easy explained. but still pretty awesome.
My mother have seen a ghost in her bedroom, when we lived in a old house. Later on we learned a old man died in that room. I never saw anything when I had that room for as bedroom.
I have heard foot steps in the same house mt mother had her ghost experience, and I have heard foot steps in my father's house and my grand mother's house, while no one was in the upper floor, easy explained but pretty eerie.

I've been looking for years. I've never seen a ghost. I believe they exist, though. I just have no luck in meeting any.

I geet that creepy "someone's in the room with me" feeling even though I live alone.
Also, seven years ago I had a fiance killed in an accident. A week to the day that he died, his friends took me out do dinner and stuff....distracting me. We took a picture and there's "mist" around me. They think it was him...
Not for nothing, but he knew he was going to die young. he talked about it all the time and when we started dating he told me to not get too close because he wasn't going to be around long (I laughed at him) The day before he died, he called pretty much everyone he had known...old friends from middle school, people he hadn't talked to in ages. He even woke his parents up to talk to them.
and I had dreams that he was going to leave me. Months before it happened. I thought he was going to break up with me and I was getting really upset and anxious. Looking back.....maybe whatever higher power there is out there was just preparing me.
I had dreams about him for a couple years after he died....just random dreams where we'd be talking on the phone about things that had happened since he died. After I met and started getting serious about my current boyfriend, I sat one night alone in the house and said, "you know, it's ok to let me go. He's a good guy and I'm happy."
I haven't had dreams of him or felt depressed about it since. About five years now

the creepiest thing was that the shadow sat on the bed corner.
So when we was at granny's place talking over it, we dubbed the ghost horn-spook:lol:
living in old houses you get custom to weird sounds and phenomena.
the house my mother had her ghost meeting was over 100 years old, my father's house is over 150 and my grand mother's house is also over 100.

That seems really creepy you know, that's if it was him. The thought of a ghost following you. It just makes me think, do ghost know what there doing? Who knows until we die right.

I can't imagine a ghost wouldn't know what it was doing....i mean, its just the spirit (think essence of the being) of a person or animal. I mean....think about it. when the spirit leaves the body, the body is dead....so in a sense, the sentient part of you....is your ghost. (or whatever you call it...soul, spirit, whatever)

Yesterday at the beach, my family and friends were all talking about the "old place", the one I mentioned a few posts up, and we were thinking the place was just down right cursed more than haunted. We were talking with one of the guys who tried to run the demolition project of the place, and he quit because of strange things. Stuff that I didn't even know happened all this time. When they tried to tear down the BER house, as they moved the bulldozers closer, they all fell into a hole in back of the house. Later they discovered it was an old pool that was covered up poorly. After that was filled up, and the inspector came by to check out the grounds and house, they went into the house and there was blood splattered everywhere, and there was a peculiar stick just stuck into the floor, with a noose on it. They chiseled the stick out and it ended up becoming a shovel cemented into the floor. They had to hault the project for several months for a police investigation of the property. I guess that was one of the mechanical issues the developer was having, next to the bulldozers going into the pool.
The sh!t hit the fan for Melvin (the head of the demolition crew) when they were finally able to bulldoze over an old Banyan tree (these trees are freaking huge) and as they finally tipped it over, underneath it, was an old school bus with bodies in it. He don't know too much, but the project has been scrapped since that finding. He said this happened in the summer of 95. What in the hell was going on in that place before my family bought it, I have no idea. My dad said he bought it from a man from Cuban and Native American ancestry, but he don't know too much prior to that. The bus belonged to The Kings Academy private school, which at the time was located behind the property. Shortly after they took the bus and began to locate the bones (there were 13 kids and a bus driver, the kids were between the ages 8 and 13, about the age of the little girl my parents swore they saw???) Shortly after that, The Kings Academy moved the school about 10 miles away, apparently they have some skeletons hiding in their closet. How the bus got there, I have no idea. It's speculated it disappeared around 1976, but can't seem to find no county records. The property was just swamp land back then, could the bus have taken a wrong turn and ended up in a marsh? Also, as for the two old homes that were on the property, both were of old Colonial architecture, but exactly how old they are,or who owned the property before the man who we bought it from, I just don't know. There's no records going that far back for this strip of land.
The sh!t you find out while reminiscing the good ole days at a beach BBQ.
I've had a couple of expierenxes. One was downright scary.

I've had a few weird things happen to me growing up, but nothing that would send me into a mental hospital. My family is staunch Born Again, so we don't offically believe in ghosts or spirits. We believe that when you die, you go to heaven or hell. There is no lingering spirits hanging around on earth because God doesn't allow that. So any occurances are eigther your imagination or your messing with things your not supposed to.
However my mother said that when she was a kid she lived in a haunted house and had weird things happen to her. Like getting hit by a book when she was sleeping when there was no way it could have hit her. Feeling like someone was touching her when there wasn't. One time my mom said she was walking home one day and she saw someone in her bedroom window looking out onto the street, but there was no one home at the time. My mom told me she told my dad this once and he got angry with her and said she probably just imagined it as a kid. My Dad is very against this sort of thing.
