Hey guys. I'm hoping you can help me out. I'm looking for a near mint to mint TMNT Collected Book Vol 1 that came out last July. If anybody has one for sale or knows where I can purchase it for a reasonable price can you please send me a PM? Thanks a lot.

A quick clickiness through all my usual sources and it looks like the best price today would be $113 for a Like New copy from a seller on amazon.
hard cheese, I say. hard cheese.

Yeah man, be prepared to pay quite a bit for it. It got crazy rare, crazy quick. At one point, Mirage got word from their printers that there was a massive box of them left, stuck them up for sale, and after a ton of sales had to refund everyone's cash back as the box did not exist, someone at the printers had made a wee mistake or something. I did have a spare copy, but sold it to a fellow 'Dromer.
More like the amount Brenner printing thought they had was one palletes quantity of the book (800+ copies). Once the wrong info was told to Mirage and corrected, it turned out to really be one box worth of it.

Yeah I am looking for one too. I might just have to buckle down and pay the price though.

It might be cheaper...although a pain in the ass, to collect the single issues.
Don't get me wrong, I love trades, but for some reason when it comes to tmnt, I love to have the singles. Maybe I'm a sucker for all those great covers.

Heres a dumb question: Anyone know which turtle is on the cover? I know its kind of impossible to tell because you cant see their weapons, but I was thinking maybe the cover is just a blown up picture of a fully-drawn panel. Anyone?

Pretty sure its Leonardo but I could be wrong. It is in fact a zoomed in panel.

Yeah I think it's Leonardo. You can't see his weapon in the actual panel either, but you can tell it's him when you read it.
Yeah thats Leo on the cover. Its from a panel near the end showdown with Shredder where the turtles are kind of struggling against him and Leo says: team up, use group against tactics on him 'cause Shredders too skilled for them one on one.
I have a tendency to buy trades all the time on stuff I like, even though I have the old issues too. Kinda dumb. Whats worse is I have the '09 TMNT Collected book, 1990 edition, '88 edition, the First Comics colored books. Really stupid huh? But I must say the '09 book is the best one. The layout of the book, the cover pics, the text info at the end, adding the Fugitiod comic made it the best edition of Collected book one. My only gripe is that Mirage used the Brenner printer group (who did their comics too) for these latter trades and Collected book one turned out to be the largest version of the book. Its like near phone book thick. The spine is very fragile and if you open anywhere near the middle portion too much, it'll like probably crack/split. Because of this its also hard to see any of the pages into the spine when your reading it, not a joy. If the glue on the spine was more thicker and flexible it'd be fine. Its good on opening the book on the left half and right half but the middle is really dangerous. Nothing happened to my copy but I know something like this will happen, I tried not to push it when reading it. The other editions of Collected book one aren't like this and are actually thinner. Anyone else have similar gripes?

All of which you have said bears true for me, DK2. My copy has some white stretch marks spanning the outer spine & it was hard to see certain corners of panels aswell as hold the book open. I must totally agree that having the fugitoid stories makes it elite though. Aside from the first issue, I hadn't read any of these stories prior to attaining this book at its time of release. Having a phone book thick collection of turtle stories was like a paperback wetdream.

Ouch. TMNT Collected v1 ended on eBay tonight at $71.05.
I couldn't justify the funds to spend any higher than $60. Double cover price is my limit, but $71 is the lowest I've seen it at since I started looking. Who else is kicking themselves for not shelling out (sic) $30 when it was brand-new just over a year ago?
Was it the 2009 version? Surprised it went for so low. Last time I was on ebay people were actually bidding for the 1988 trade. That was $650 when I saw that auction. I'd never ever seen anyone bother to bid anymore than under $100 for that edition.

wow...well i can't get my hands on the 09 at the moment but i did win the 88 paperback last week on ebay for 60 including shipping. i guess that's an ok :ohwell: price but i'd much rather have the 2009 edition.

Yeah, I also saw a couple at my comic shop for a few *months* just gathering dust after they came out. Never bought it because I already owned all the material in the book several times over.
Really wish I'd jumped on the thing when I had the chance, just for the sake of turning around and making a humongous profit on eBay.

hmm, after feeling iffy for paying 60 bucks for the 1988 edition, which by the way i received today in fine/very fine condition...i see this on ebay:
